    I have 2 of these. I buy a box of 25 or even 40, co2, because like YOU SAY, PRACTICE, and I do. But I literally have 1co2 im my mag with 8 hard steel rubber balls, oiled and punctured, for the last 3 months. This months disability check I'll buy more co2. But I'm confident that if I have to engage, I'll get full power from this 1 co2, in the mag. I carry my TPM1 every time I go out locally in my neighborhood, and a few times into the main city area depending on what neighborhoods I'm going through especially when I ride my E-scooter. I've only had to unholster one time as an irate man, big man , such as I am, 6ft 5, started advancing. When He saw what I had drawn, He immediately stopped and backed away. A few other times I just had to lift my shirt and show it, and got immediate respect. Most in my neighborhood, know that I do not walk alone. Things changed immediately because I have been picked on constantly and now those same people see me coming, they don't say anything, not even hello. Silence as I walk by,

    It's funny how you didn't believe that if you puncture the seal and left the cartridge in there that it would stay and not leak and then a video or two later you change your mind and had the cartridge in the mag punctured and had it sitting for a long time and realized that nothing leaked and you had perfect power in the cartridge after leaving the magazine punctured in the weapon

    • @AlternateArmsSD
      @AlternateArmsSD  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hey man, that's why we test. Just because you CAN do something doesn't necessarily means you SHOULD. While it is possible to keep them charged, they are susceptible to temperature and humidity changes, leaking seals, lack of periodic maintenance, and unnecessary stress on the internal components. A quick pierce magazine solves all of those issues. Besides, folk should be practicing with their launchers often replacing the C02 with a fresh canister for day to day use.
      That being said, I have kept a Walther PPQ mag charged for over a year and it held pressure. However, that was in a controlled environment and temperature.

    Watching some old reviews as I look at my options in addition to the hdr68.
    Did you ever test how long these/the walther/glock hold co2 for.
    I had a cart in a HDR that lasted gased a dry fire shot every 3 days for at least 2 month and iv had something setup firing once a week for 3 months. (11j uk spec paintball pressure stock internals)

    • @AlternateArmsSD
      @AlternateArmsSD  หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@jediknight1294 hey brother, that’s an interesting story actually. I had one of these punctured for well over a year and it held charge. However, it was in a stable environment, temperature hardly fluctuated, and it wasn’t moved around a whole lot. My suggestion would be to either get a magazine or, if you were going to use a standard magazine, change it out at least every other week. Do you wanna make sure your full power if you ever actually need it.

    • @jediknight1294

      @AlternateArmsSD my plan honestly is to eventually have a couple of things.
      Have one dedicated for social work, setup with a valve mod and a few other things. Due to the position these things hold under UK law being quite vague, it's either 7.5 or 11j with the 11j markers getting harder to find. So my plan is reversible modifications and spare parts. Carry isn't legal as far as anyone's been able to work out off your own land. Though holsters and similar are still something I'm working on professionally.
      The rest setup for the force on force training, SFX and gaming uses.
      I have the 68 setup at the moment for delivering a 'blood' effect for Set Pieces for the Interactive Theatre stuff I do (looks amazing for the audience when someone in the middle of the room drops having taken a chest hit on a dress shirt with a stage blood filled paintball) and am setting it up to run with custom built 15 bb shells as a 'taurus judge' at interactive theatre/larp events (eye pro required using mix of blank firing guns, airsoft and these realistic paintball guns
      The 43 walther ppq, has been used most when I'm teaching Weapon Retention, grappling and disarming in Classes, it's paintball level velocity so easy insurance wise . The way a 11j 43 hits isn't miss able in the way that airsoft or nerf are and because it's blowback the issues of muzzle contact and manipulation of the skide while grappling to prevent firing can be shown and allows a really easy way to explain why a lot of the 'Detroit Urban Survival Tactics' style stuff is garbage.

    Hey what's good bro! I'm a huge fan of ur TH-cam channel, and is a reference for me cause I've decided to buy a M4E .43 for keep me training, because I was in my home country army for a long time... Also, I think to have it as option at self defense besides my real fire arm.
    But I'm pretty undecided between the Smith and Wesson M&P 2.0 and de Walther PDP Compact, I love the look of both, but, how I've not tried any of them I don't know which one to pick.

      Greetings! Thanks man! Wait till you see what I have coming for you guys :) OK, the .43 cal launchers (Smith, Glock, M&P, and Walthers) are great for training but if youre planning on using them for self defense you need to install the mod spring for the power increase and you MUST run a high quality pepper round. The kinetic energy just isnt there to count on them if the target is wearing heavy clothing. (In a tshirt, they are nasty though) or if you score a "soft spot" hit (Groin, knee, throat, face, or head).
      The HDP50 compact is a .50 cal and can be modified easily to around 20J. That will put a hurting on someone for sure BUT you are limited to 4 rounds in the magazine and 8G Co2 carts.
      You might want to look at the salt supply S2, pepperball trp, or the Byrna. They are all great options as well.

Thanks for ur reply, I want a T4E just because I'm an ex military, and I know very well that "The look" of a self defense arm is 50% of the work done, and the realistic look of these markers are a huge deterrent element! Besides, I'm a pretty good shooter, 3 times National Champion in the "National Military Forces Games" in my home country, so, I'm not expecting to shoot anybody to the legs or stomach, my target is from the chest up! And with a 8 shots round of good pepper balls it's good enough to stop someone who doesn't have a lethal gun threatening me or my loved ones. Besides, I want this pistol to keep me oiled practicing without lose a kidney buying real ammo.

I did notice that there are aftermarket grip covers to enhance your grip for these pistols as sold for the actual firearm. If you were to look at them I think they will cover that lettering on certain pistols such as the PPQ. Look it up there around $20 or less they're self-adhesive I'm not suggesting you do that but it's a possibility that this idea would cover the lettering you are referring to. Take care.

    • @AlternateArmsSD
      @AlternateArmsSD  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Greetings!! I have had one pressurized for 12 months. I occasionally fire a round through the chrono and I haven’t seen any loss of pressure. Of course, over time the seals can wear (and can be replaced). There’s also a magazine available for all of the T4 line that allows you to puncture the cylinder when you draw the weapon. Thanks for watching and welcome to the family!

    Nice looking one there! I got a question, what kind of oil are you supposed to use in the working parts of the gun? Would 3-in-one oil work?

    • @AlternateArmsSD
      @AlternateArmsSD  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I use a small amount of silicon spray on the magazine from time to time and a VERY small amount of gun oil on the slide. They are very low maintenance.

    • @bongkaos5519
      @bongkaos5519 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      3 in one.... NO
      Please use a pure silicone spray or something like Pellgun or RWS chamber oil.
      The rubber seals need the right lubricates or they rot.

    • @AlternateArmsSD
      @AlternateArmsSD  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Greets! Nope, there is no “chamber” in these. The magazine contains the pressure release valve that sends the round down the barrel. Have a great week!

      Not that I know of BUT the PPQ is very small compared to the TPM1. There is a recent video up about it. They DO list a compact CD50 (Which I've had on order for 2 months) and I will review it when it arrives. Thanks for watching!

    Hello, Nice video and I enjoy your enthusiasm and it's very well explained. Does the blowback on this pistol have any issue firing a pepper ball? I thought maybe it may disperse back at you with blowback action or is it ok to fire those? I am new to any gun type and don't yet own any so trying to understand. I'm thinking of buying this one for self defense as a non lethal option. Or would I be better off with a higher caliber? Thanks!

    • @AlternateArmsSD
      @AlternateArmsSD  2 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      Interesting you would say that. That was one of the things I tested with some practice pepper balls after the video was over. I had absolutely no breakage whatsoever. The blow affect appears to only strike the valve in the magazine itself and the rounds are securely held within the magazine itself. As far as a higher caliber, I’m going to be doing a head to head video using pepper balls on all three calibers we’ve tested so fat (.43, .50, and the .68). I have multiple videos of each of the calibers on my channel. Thanks for watching and welcome to the family!

      @@AlternateArmsSD well I here that there is a quick pierce mag in the works for the Glock. so when it comes out I think I will buy them as well as the Glock. since I am issued a Glock this would be good for non lethal self defense and training purposes. more bang for the buck there. I have the M&P for when we had that gun in our holsters and loved it, I got the Walther PPQ because.....well it is a Walther PPQ, ( and LOVE IT).
