Yeah dude has a way of explaining things in simple form, that’s why I like watching his videos. Like he actually explains things that I didn’t even know . But he responds to his listeners, that’s my big thing, definitely helpful.
Friend has one in FDE, I've shot it and LOVE this platform, I want to get one in black along with a StickyHolsters sleeve to stick it down my pants loaded with spicy ammo. He actually had to use his to fend off an attempted break in, flashing the gun in the window made the guy run, the fact that he then went outside and gave a bit of chase really sent him packing!
I have one before it. It should be coming out on Sunday. The head to head on the three .43 calls should be on Wednesday. I’ve been announcing it on my Patreon and I will continue to keep folks updated. I have a heck of a slate of videos in store for you guys :-)
Just got a system for myself and my wife! Thank you for all the awesome content, I’ll be watching all your new stuff, not that I need a new expensive hobby, it certainly seems like I got one lol
Oh by the way I have a very important question, I have this same PPQ M2 and it came with a extra spring for rubber balls, now I have ordered the pepper balls that you recommended, do I need to keep the same spring that is inside the gun to use the pepper ball or do I need to change to the extra spring that came inside the box? Any helpful tips on this would be helpful if you have any that’s important.
I appreciate all the work you do. I was checking around on the internet concerning modifications to the ppq43 caliber pistol for increased power. I don't know if these are legitimate modifications or not but what I read was the following to increase the power. Porting the mag deleting the blowback and increasing tension on the spring that actuates the hammer. An individual stated that by doing that using a 2.02 gram steel ball they obtained 465 ft per second supposedly equating to just over 20 joules. I believe they said the second mag still using the same CO2 reduced to 17 plus joules while still staying in the 400 ft per second range. I do not know how to work on these I may not have it exactly right but this is what I read. That would be awesome if this person is being truthful. It was on a Facebook when I inquired about modifications for the ppq43 caliber pistol. You may already know about this just thought I'd try to help. Take care.
@@sven471111 After extensive testing with many versions of the pepperballs, I’d say 99% of any human you hit. Did you see the skull? Are you actually trying to say that a person would continue to pursue if they took any of those head shots? Just like any other form of self-defense, this is one tool. It is not the end all beat all of self-defense products. You are always your own first line of self-defense.
@@AlternateArmsSD Well, lets be realistic. Its just a .43 what makes 7.5 joules? When you have pepperballs loaded with strong pepper powder maybe it will stop some people. But the power it delivers with nylonballs you wont stop anyone. For that you need a modified HDR50 or a FSC etc. This was tested out meanwhile for some years by many people what gun with what mod makes what damage.
@@sven471111 The pepper balls are more or less the point. I have many modified HDR 50s and I’m working on a video for the modification on the HDP 50 and the HDS68. Ammo does make a difference though. I have another video I’m producing using solid aluminum balls as well. They are actually lighter than the riot balls but they seem to hit with more impact. This could be due to the smoothbore, lack of friction, or overall velocity but I will test that in the video. As far as your comment about “it’s just a .43 cal”, you’re only firing at a human. This is not Iron Man you were shooting at. If you hit a sensitive area, an eye, a neck, a throat, a mouth, or ideally you’re using pepper balls, this will absolutely stop anybody. Yes I said, this is one tool and yourself defense arsenal. Not the only tool. Thank you so much for watching! Welcome to the family :-) I love a good conversation.
I actually have a couple of plans once we get through all of the tests on the 43 and 50 calibers. Different types of ammo as well as different types of coverings. I had a gentleman came up to my booth the other day and asked me how effective they were against body armor. I simply laughed and said “pepperballs love body armor“ :-) Thanks for watching!
It was because of this video that I got the T4E. However I got the Blue and Black one. Up until watching this video I was not sure between this or the S&W. I just thought this one looked better and I like the key in the grip for the C02.
Was going back and forth on what Umarex to get...but based on form factor and your video on this gun, I just ordered this as an alternative to my real gun. I'll be hitting you up for some mods to make it a bit more powerful. Great vids! Kerp it up!

@@AlternateArmsSD yeah a lot of people prefer having it in the butt of the gun opposed to having a freaking Allen key in your pocket like if you happen to get into s***** situation and you run through more than one CO2 I mean most likely you're going to get your ass kicked but if you do get a chance and get cover and happen to have a CO2 or if you have one of those quick release ones which would be better probably but if you have a chance it's better than fishing around in your pocket for an allen key you can just pull it off the back of the gun so they're thinking but I still prefer the slap and Pierce patent
The extra spring, in theory, you would use for heavier rounds. However, I have fired everything through mine up to, and including steel ball bearings, and I’ve never had to change that spring :-)

Hey, my dude! How's that video coming along that will test the ppq, tpm1 and the Smith & Wesson m&p against each other to see which one is the best? Can't wait to see it. Thank you for your videos.
Hey brother, this is actually one of my older videos. If you move forward, I have more extensive videos. To puncture the CO2 you use the Allen key located in the handle. You unscrew it, but the CO2 cartridge in, screwed up until it is snug, and then go about a quarter turn further. Do not overtighten.
Yeah, they aren't to bad compared to some others. Also, I mod the spring on every mag/launcher I send out free. In my opinion, that's the way they should have been from the factory.

That would depend on your state. Most states classify these as air weapons, which is to say no different than paintball guns. I have a lot of customers that are truckers that use them because they can carry them across state lines safely. However, keep in mind, some states will allow them, but will not allow the use of pepperballs so you have to stay with a kinetic rounds. I would say check for the state you’re traveling into, out of, or through.
awesome video🎉. I own the same exact gun. I just got it in a couple weeks ago and it's my favorite by far. I've shot well over 300 paintballs without a single break. Also over 100-150 hard rubber balls too. Anyone out there that thinks this may be underpowered, trust me it is NOT! lol. Getting hit with a projectile even through clothes, hurts badly. love the channel.
It’s funny, when they see 43 caliber they automatically assume it’s under powered. Until you actually fire this, see the impact, and get a feel for it, you just don’t understand. It’s definitely one of my favorites. Thanks for watching and welcome to the family!

Greetings, know if you have a high quality pepperball neither one of those Springs will actually rupture the rounds. Now, you will want to change them about every 4 to 6 months because they will wear out, plastic will be great overtime.
Have you used the quick pierce magazines, or lost co2 pressure if you carry them already punctured? I’m curious about the reliability and it sounds like you’re carrying one of these regularly. Thanks!
Greetings! I have a TPM1 that has a cylinder that has been punctured for a little over a year. We fire a round through it every 6 weeks and it still has good pressure. You need to get a nice accurate scale to check your guns/mags for leakage. For my PPQ, I have one mag that hasn't leaked at all for weeks, and another that leaks 0.01-0.02g a day (very negligible amount, but it may get worse?). I keep them pressurized at all times, and check/log the weight each time I need to carry 'em. These devices are designed very well--looks like the things most likely to fail (in my opinion, and from most likely to least): hammer spring, main co2 seal (where the cartridge goes), and firing pin (ESPECIALLY if you like to dry-fire it without a mag inserted). The slide spring may wear out after lots of use, but shouldn't fail all at once. If you value your firing pin and mag rear seal, rack the slide (or make sure hammer is cocked?) before inserting a mag--there are some cases where the firing pin can end up in the way of the mag while it's sliding in... rare, but better safe than sorry, yeh?
Absolutely! They’re also some mods that can be done on this weapon. I’m working on that now and if I can nail it down, I’ll make a video :-) you’re 100% correct about the firing pen though, keeping it racked when load the mag is a great idea and it will save you maintenance later. As far as the pressure, I’ve had one TPM one pressurized for a little over a year now and an HD P 50 for about eight months. Occasionally I will pull them out and Chrono around and I haven’t seen a substantial drop in pressure yet. Umarex is very good about their warranties as well. Alternatively, there are quick pierce magazines for all of their T4E line. That way, it only pressure rises when you need to use the weapon. It’s not nearly as pretty, but it is practical. Thanks for watching!
I would think to avoid wear and tear you could depress the magazine release button when inserting the magazine people are saying it gets caught halfway up or something try that and then once it gets past that release it so it gets past that sticking point. That is assuming it doesn't hurt doing that.
@@kurt9994 YES and….. It is MUCH smoother if you rack the weapon before inserting the magazine. I’ll have a video on that soon as well. Good catch Kurt!
@@AlternateArmsSD I'm glad you're still working on the possibility of some mods for the PPQ 43. I think it would be awesome if you discovered a basic modification to the magazine alone that then could be sold as a high performance magazine and you could insert that whenever you decided you wanted to have more power which might be all the time haha. There may be other more advanced modifications other than the magazine but it would just be nice if a reasonable amount of power could be gotten from a simple magazine modification.
I can only speak from personal experience my friend, I’ve had one punctured since November 2021. I’ll pull it out once a month to fire around that I have not lost any pressure. However, you should definitely practice with your weapon. If you have it, punctured, take it out every month and fire off a few magazines. At that point, replace the CO2 when you’re ready to use it for self-defense. Also, they do sell a quick Pierce magazine for all of their line.
I haven’t had any crack yet. However, I have a tendency to change out the pepperballs every 6 months. Environmental conditions can greatly degrade the plastic over a period of time. Heat, cold, and heavy moisture will affect them. However, you can use a very light bead of superglue on the seam as well. You will still get an impact break, but it might stop some of your leaking issues.
@@AlternateArmsSD that’s a really good idea. I usually don’t leave them in magazines long term. Not without testing how long they can last under a soft spring. I’ve been doing the same thing. Only when it’s really rainy here I might choose to leave the pepperballs at home and just go with the T4E powder balls. They hurt like absolute hell and they are built rock solid. I’ve left one in water overnight, left one in a mag with a heavy spring for a long time. Those are built really well. Problem is pepperballs are so expensive. And I try not to get away from loading these with anything other than what they are advertised to shoot(out here that could land you in hot water, shooting stuff like aluminum balls in public will likely lead to a criminal charge). With this market starting to blow up there’s so many trying to capitalize and make a quick buck selling garbage.
Of all of the .43 cal launchers, Id partial to the Glock 17.. this would be a close second. However, mod the magazine immediately. It adds about 20% more power.
Hey John, I dropped my mag for my ppq and the plastic cover for the tiny spring came off and I could not find it now I have to re-cock every time in between shots is there any way to fix that?
Greetings! I have used the factory installed spring for both with no issues at all. The additional spring is supposed to be used for heavier rounds but, once again, I've never had issues firing up to and including steel bearings :)
Thank you for your fast replies to my questions. I just this morning realized that you had replied. When I purchased my ppq it came with one spring installed in the mag and the one for the heavier balls. Is there another one now?
@@robertchristianson1187 my pleasure, no, the spring were talking about is actually located behind the valve at the top of the magazine. It’s not the spring that pushes in the balls from the bottom. @@AlternateArmsSD thanks I couldn't figure out how to view it but I know what it looks like I was just curious if you knew if it was available in the US.
I’ve had one pierced in this exact weapon for a little over a year now. Every now and then I’ll pull it out and pop around off just to verify we haven’t lost any pressure and it seems to be fine. A lot of that boils down to how well you maintain your weapon, making sure that you’re using your pellet gun oil, and the quality of the CO2 cartridges. However, in a self-defense situation, I would suggest changing out about every month or so. Honestly though, you should practice with it a lot more than that :-) considering that every time you practice, you change the cartridge and put a fresh magazine in. Thanks for watching!
Seriously!?! Ya about to get me to order it. I'm tired of carrying my judge. I never want to see the end result from using it in a situation where I could refrain from killing . I don't need to add anymore nightmares from the disassembly of a human by lead. My only reservation was the seal ability and if it's improved. I'm asking several of you reviewers the same question. Three have said the same. I wish y'all would do videos on this subject. I bet others ask this question about these new machines. Thank you! 1🌎1♥️🙏🏻
@@djjonnybong My friend, that is a point that I bring up all of the time. It is always preferable to not kill whenever possible. There are always the “tough guys” that insist that, in any situation that calls for self-defense, they’re going to “blow somebody away“. Those people do not need firearms :-) We do not live in, what I would call, a gun friendly environment right now. If you had to use your actual firearm in a self-defense situation, and you killed somebody, put your hands up because you’re going to jail. The best you can hope for is you did not get some judge that would bury you under the jail for political reasons. And of course, the most important reason, no human being really wants to take the life of another human being. That is something that you would live with for the rest of your life. However, getting that across to some people, it’s just like beating your fist on the wall.

Hi there! Can we add the valve upgrade piece to increase the velocity like the other one you have done? Is it the same kit or is it different? I observed that from around 10m the blue 1.35g blue rubber ball drops alot and rarely hits the target, is this normal for so much drop from such a short distance?
Greets! The valve upgrade kits are actually for the HDP50, TR50, HDR68, and the HDS. Unfortunately, they will not work for the Walther PPQ. As far as the drop, typically 10 m is going to be on the outside of your typical engagement range. Normally you’re seeing me test from about 8 to 9m when you’re seeing me fire at the targets. That being said, I have effectively targets within a 5 inch radius at 50 feet (about 16 meters). Now, are you noticing this on a fresh CO2 cartridge, or is it on a second or third magazine?

@@AlternateArmsSD The warning label is on the right side of the grip below the slide release. I hope alcohol wont hurt it. Of course I have to get that gun! Lol
I was just looking at this video a Little closer a few minutes ago. Approximately 1 minute 20 seconds you can see the warning label or white lettering on the right side of the Walther PPQ he's holding. I think he might have misunderstood what you were talking about. They apparently all have it some are underneath the trigger guard though. I don't know about where the Glock has it that might be the one that has it underneath the trigger and the TPM1 I believe you can see it on the slide or real close to the slide on the right side. The talon stick on grips will fit this however if you put them on completely you probably cannot access the back strap hex for installing the CO2 cartridge. If you really wanted to cover that lettering up though you could trim off from the talon stick on grip close to the magazine release area and just use that short part to cover that and not install the rest of that stick on grip. Remember doing that or doing anything else according to what I've read voids the warranty. Also, he said he used denatured alcohol to remove lettering such as that. Again, I'm not recommending you do that just giving you options. It may be illegal depending on what state you live in such as California possibly , I don't know. Hope this helps.

Well, I fired solid aluminum rounds through them and they fired perfectly. I’m preparing a video which will highlight all 43 caliber rounds that I have used in the past and compare them side-by-side. Thank you so much for watching!
Thank you for making these vids on the 43 caliber Umarex and you answered some of my questions and doubts! I have two 9mm handguns at home but am real interested in these non lethal guns for self defense. I'm just not sure what would be the best, or hardest hitting balls for it. Got any suggestions? I subbed and I am glad I found your channel.
I’m gonna try to get a video out in the next week or so with a couple different kinds of ammo. I found one that I believe could actually be close to lethal. That’s a tad scary.

I managed to purchase some pepper rounds (in Calif.), but want the best solid rounds as well. Also, what holster do you use for the PPQ?
Sorry I'm illiterate when it comes to these phones. I had already seen a picture of it in several places online but I couldn't see it for sale in this country. If I recall it was both black and tungsten colored. I called umarex in the US and the guy basically told me whatever's here is here he couldn't tell me anything else. Thank you but I was looking for the tungsten not blue. The tungsten is essentially a gray silver bottom with the rest of the pistol being black if I recall. I sent it to you by Gmail hopefully you'll see what I'm talking about. It does not seem the tungsten model which is identical except for a color change is available in the US for some reason I wish they'd sell all of them. Thanking you again.
@@AlternateArmsSD I think it looks awesome. Can't quite figure out why they just don't sell all the colors at least see how they sell and then make a decision on what they don't want to carry in different states or countries. Thank you and have a good day.
Your CCW is a paintball gun? They made these for training, it's literally in the name. They're not a defensive tool unless you just luck into having an attacker who runs from the sight of black metal.
It’s interesting you say that, I’ve had to use these in an actual self-defense situation. The pepper balls will absolutely stop a person in their tracks. I always find it funny, there’s always one tough guy that has to say “these are not self-defense“. Yet, story after story prove them wrong. Typically, I find the people that say that have never taken a pepperball to the face :-) You need to also keep in mind, we live in an era where if you use your actual weapon in a self-defense scenario, and kill somebody, lay it on the ground, put your hands up, you’re going to jail. You will have to go through that entire process and pray to God you don’t get some liberal judge that buries you under the jail. Self-defense is about more than just firing a weapon and killing somebody. It is about knowledge of your surroundings, practice with a weapon you use, and experience. Also, it doesn’t matter what type of weapon you use. If you don’t practice with the weapon, and you’re not experienced with a weapon, it is an absolutely useless tool. Thanks for watching!
@@randym4077 like I said, there’s one in every crowd :-) it’s fine though, to each his own. Like I said, I’ve actually used these in a self-defense situation and they worked perfectly. Don’t worry, if you continue to practice, you’ll be good enough to hit your target as well :-) (This is a joke)
@Complete Technology Solutions if Randy M is such a badass, maybe 15:07 he would like to prove how lame these are as weapons and take several body shots and video the results and post to TH-cam. But, of course he won't because he is just a punk with a smarmy loud mouth. He is completely gutless .
Someone needs to be consistent with .43 ammo. It's so hard to find home defense or even paintballs for them When you do the cost is through the roof. Someone should start to make them as a business.
Hey man. Just got the new glock in today. Do yourself a favor and get one. It’s well worth the extra money if you can afford it. Absolutely top tier. The fact this is cheaper than a byrna shocks me lol. If you use these for less lethal purposes, absolutely get the glock. It’s a step up in every way build wise.
@@AlternateArmsSD i was skeptical. Not a glock guy at all here by any means. My background with actual firearms is purely military. Six years as a combat engineer, who oddly enough did have a sidearm lol. I’ve always had to adapt to whatever weapon was issued to me. I assumed that I would be paying for that logo. Wrong. They really put this under the microscope before they shipped it. It even had a quality control number, look into how these are made. The slide is incredible, and the mag release, as well as the magazines are a lot better in many ways.

@@bamaguy5000 hey brother, I have fired every kind of ammunition known through my PPQ without ever changing that factory magazine spring. :)
Take care.

Whom do you think to stop with it?

What are the laws on concealing or open carrying this type of gun
That would depend on your state. Most states classify these as air weapons, which is to say no different than paintball guns. I have a lot of customers that are truckers that use them because they can carry them across state lines safely. However, keep in mind, some states will allow them, but will not allow the use of pepperballs so you have to stay with a kinetic rounds. I would say check for the state you’re traveling into, out of, or through.

What is the difference between this one and the (GEN2)
They are the same launcher.
Thanks, Good advice I bought one.
I have a walther ppq .43 M2 and i love it !!!can i leave the co2 in the magazine already punctured? does that affect the pistol?
I can only speak from personal experience my friend, I’ve had one punctured since November 2021. I’ll pull it out once a month to fire around that I have not lost any pressure. However, you should definitely practice with your weapon. If you have it, punctured, take it out every month and fire off a few magazines. At that point, replace the CO2 when you’re ready to use it for self-defense. Also, they do sell a quick Pierce magazine for all of their line.
Hey question..those lancer pepperballs you linked. How are they? Did they crack in the magazines on you?
What pepper balls are you using in the ppq m2 .43cal?
It’s my own blend of OC AND PAVA.. I’m also looking at adding one more small ingredient but, that’s for another video :-)
So is he suggesting this would be the best launcher for pepper balls despite being only .43 caliber?
Of all of the .43 cal launchers, Id partial to the Glock 17.. this would be a close second. However, mod the magazine immediately. It adds about 20% more power.

How long can a CO2 sit in the machine once pierced. Back in the day you couldn't leave one in for a day or two.
Those people do not need firearms :-)
We do not live in, what I would call, a gun friendly environment right now.

You need to also keep in mind, we live in an era where if you use your actual weapon in a self-defense scenario, and kill somebody, lay it on the ground, put your hands up, you’re going to jail.
