He's printed at 40% infill for this shot. He's not quite as dense as a human skull and the outer layer is considerable thinner. I am working on getting a gel analog for future videos. However, within 3-5 feet, you are doing some major damage.

I was up in Grand Rapids and Cadillac. You guys get a whole lot more snow than we do :-)

@AlternateArmsSD I think I'll grab a Pistelle X68 in next couple weeks! What weight in .68 call ball do you recommend?

@ at this point, the best kinetic rounds you can buy are the Grimburg JUL but the smasher rounds are pretty darn good too. :-) if you pick up that pistelle, use that code in the description and you will save yourself some money.

@ out of the box, the Pistelle .68 and the Grimburg Gavle are going to be the most powerful you can buy without modification.

@@joehenry447 the JULs fire absolutely amazing through the HDR 68 barrels. You’d have to go to Grimburg‘s website to check on pricing and availability as I don’t actually carry them myself.

It should work as long as the first round is not in the detent when you fire it. I haven’t tried it with a dart but I can’t imagine why it wouldn’t.

@@theFormidable1 that’s exactly where they would be. The last video Chronoed the JUL rounds and I suspect these are right on par.

@AlternateArmsSD thanks for the link, I visited the site and it seems they really did their homework on these rounds. I've been advocating the importance of velocity to weight ratio to obtain maximum kinetic energy and the smashers designer's seems to get it and developed the ideal .68 cal less lethal ball round. Can you please do a future video with chrono numbers using the pistelle and the 11 in extended barrel? I'm very tempted to pull the trigger on these smasher rounds.

@ I sure can. I need to snag one of the 11in barrels.

@@brianwhite3053 you can use the byrna max rounds, as well as the Duke projectiles, Salt Supply/maces rounds, and the PavaShot rounds.

Yeah, that’s kind of what I was thinking too when I saw them. I don’t know if they have a whole lot of practical use and they require a great deal of prep. However, you know me, if it exists, we’ll try to get it on the show :-)

Agreed! However, they are definitely a cool concept, especially, to me, the 4,000 PSI cartridge fill! That's very impressive for a cartridge that small. The simulated pepper gel / paint demo that Airgun Alley demonstrated, among a number of less effective, IMO, types of ammo he tested, could be real "shock and awe" to a bad guy or a guy having a bad day!

I’ve fired high quality pepper rounds at 40J without an issue.

Where can I view your store? If I want to shoot pepperballs in .68 cal, which launchers should I choose from? Are some launchers just too powerful for pepperballs? Thank you!

Thanks man! You know, I think they actually will. When I get some 16 g cartridges and I’m going to revisit these with the gavel just for fun.

You know, those guys never responded to me. That was a company called para ops and they have been at both shot shows for the last two years. I’ll definitely go by their booth again.

@@AlternateArmsSD Yeah it's funny that there is any a single review for their Pro 1 or Pro 5 launchers on TH-cam or the Internet that I could find which seems odd as you'd think someone would have reviewed one or the other by now. Hopefully they'll be there so you can get more information as their cartridge system seemed interesting.

As nice as the Carry is, it's not the Solstice. I don't love the twist to puncture for a carry option. Which sucks because the Grimburg is an amazing launcher otherwise

There was no need. I have a TON of FPS videos on the Pistelle (and he gavle). This is in the exact same configuration that the last video was shot in. Take a look at the last video for the FPS readings. I suspect this will be VERY VERY close to the same.
