    The scene that really moved me was when Korey found out his sister, Marci, passed and he was going off about how no gave a f*ck about him. Then the officer, Robert, hugged him.

    Nah episode 4 had me bawling had to pause like 3 times. I ABSOLUTELY loved the fact that Jarrell Jerome played the young and older version of Korey. It felt like they did it to show the youth that Korey still had all those years because he never got to experience that transition to adulthood.

    8 MILLION! Are you mad! They deserved a MINIMUM of 41 Million EACH!

    • @Melisblessed
      @Melisblessed 5 ปีที่แล้ว +42

      True. Because you can’t pay me 1 million to spend a year in jail. It ain’t worth no money to go through what those young men went through.

    • @drtash21
      @drtash21 5 ปีที่แล้ว +19

      I agree 8million each is peanuts esp. after you deduct taxes and lawyers' fees. But truth be told no amount of money will EVER repay what those boys lost in the years they were in prison. Korey esp. as he was repeatedly beaten, stabbed and sexually abused for 14 years! The best thing would be for everyone that played a role in this gross injustice should face lengthy jail sentences with no parole and lose everything they have.

    • @TallCurvyGirll

      Maybe watch a couple interviews with the real men to see that they’re all carrying on with life as best they can, then go back in to the series. It’s 💯 worth it to make it to the end.

    you guys are adorable and I love your energy. I watched this series in one shot and it hasn't left my thoughts. It's haunting. The acting is on another level as is the direction. So impressed with all the performances. I hope everyone takes the time to watch this series to educate themselves and others, increase awareness and gain perspective. It's heart wrenching but a must see.

    That show is AMAZING. It made me angry and made cry the whole time I was watching it. Its so sad that those kids in that time went through all of that just cause of the color of their skin 😢😢😢😢😢 I LOVED every minute of it. Jharrel Jerome had the best performance for me 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 A Dominican from the Bronx making us proud 🇩🇴🇩🇴🇩🇴🇩🇴

    This was very deep, emotional & it shows what our ppl go through in this injustice system. Special shout out to the men this happen to my hearts go out to you for what you had to endure. I'm glad y'all are got exonerated on a crime y'all didn't commit.

    Korey talks about that fight as his destiny, he calls the dude destiny because it was. That is absolutely mind blowing...that this chance encounter and years later this dude who is a psychopath is like, "wait a minute...its wrong to make some do the time for a crime they ain't commit" and then go turn himself in...
    When They See Us was so powerful and not the only story....but to humanize these media stories and figure out how we can get lost into a narrative that is bias when we supposed to trust our news stories. There are more stories of injustices everywhere we turn....my question now is, who are we and what do we do now that we see us?

    The part that had me the most was all those times Korey had all those parole hearings. When seated in front of the parole board and asked if he was prepared to admit to the crimes that he was being found guilty of. Had me in shock to see how he never let up and just kept his chin up high because he would’ve rather stayed in prison then to admit to something he never did. CRAZY

    I have never heard about this series, but since you both reviewed it I had to check it out.
    Just finished episode 1 and I am just boo-whooin in my bed. The storyline is so sad because interrogations like this do happen. I truly dont understand why certain people think they are better or can treat another group of people any kind of way based on them being a different skin tone! It really blows me! Like you dont even know them!
