have a 2015 golf special edition 1.8tsi actually they are detuned 2.0 engines CNSB's all the parts on engine are same as the 2.0's pcv valve HP fuel pump etc etc. i found that changing the secondary air pump wound up being the most effective way of solving the stumbling, hesitation issue at low rpm's, was not fuel pump hp or low coils plugs pcv map sensor, vacuum leaks or any of the other 1000 items that everyone starts pointing at car goes back again for the 2nd go around of the suction jet pump, due to the car saying my fuel cap has a problem and leak detection issue we will see when it gets back after the recall if that solves the last of the issues, these cars can be fickle for sure
So I’ve actually taken my SAI pump and all its hoses out of the car, and put a bleeder block in place of it. I know it isn’t the culprit of any of the bucking symptoms on my GTI because the car was bucking before I removed it, and still bucks after. As far as my misfires/hesitation on a cold engine were concerned, that has been fixed. That was due to my WMI nozzle leaking methanol overnight into my charge pipe. I’ve removed the fuse to the WMI pump, and now since the methanol doesn’t leak, that has gone away.
there's a recall for this with my VW vehicle. I'm currently dealing with the dealer now. They want to charge me to replace the entire fuel tank, which seems zany to me. I experienced the same symptoms you stated: fuel smell, leak nearby the rear right seat, engine misfire.
The current recall is for the suction jet pump replacement. It’s a $40 part that sits inside the gas tank. The part isn’t even available at dealerships yet, which is why I bought it online and did the job myself. If VW says they need to replace the entire fuel tank to do this job, they are trying to scam you.
@@JacesOwnWorld interesting! I'm definitely not going to proceed with the dealer's suggested fix now. I feel kind of finished with VW tbh after the back and forth (they said the car was fine and there was nothing wrong with it initially, I had to take it back a second time). Do you know where I can order this part so I can take it to them without doing a full tank replacement? I'm even considering just asking them to buy back the car at this point (2018 golf)
@andys6591 that’s probably the best idea man. Unfortunately VW is ass backwards on helping their owners out. I just linked where I bought this part in the description of this video. Hope you get it sorted out. See what they will give you. If your GTI is worth decent money, might as well try to have them buy it back.
I’m not following you. What is the “T”? I’ve replaced everything in the clutch system including the clutch itself, slave/tob, bleeder block, bleeder block line, clutch master cylinder, brake fluid, SSK, and shifter knob.
@@JacesOwnWorld So far i have a new master , new blender and entire new clutch and it’s not bleeding just clutch pedal to stay . Ones over night and try the next day it back down Won’t let me out in heat while car is running. I bleed it 6 times even gravity bleed still no luck Could it be a brand new slave that was just installed could have gone bad. The new clutch kit is t even 4 months old
@hdot2024 it’s hard to say but it definitely is possible. There are others who installed new clutch kits and tob/slave, and when they began bleeding the clutch, it wouldn’t bleed correctly. They found out their tob/slave were faulty from the get-go.
New suction jet pump fixed the gas pump fill up issue. I switched my tune to an OTS tune, and that got rid of the bucking for some reason I don’t know why. Everything is working great but found out I need a new alternator.
Nice vid be way more helpful if you were a little bit more descriptive of the parts and exactly where you got them from you have the one suction jet piece for ECS tuning but then the other two pieces I can’t find I can’t find a description or anything else
I did took me about a good 2 hours to find the parts. They are sitting in my FCP Euro cart waiting till tomorrow to make sure everything is correct.Do you want a following? If you do im just trying to be helpful the more info you put up the more people will look to your page thats all I am saying. We come here to save time and get info
@idontkare20011 thanks. You can follow me or not. Your choice. But you’re welcome on giving you a free video to watch. I don’t make $$ doing this. I would love to view a video you make if you so wish to make one.
Great video brother, glad you fixed it hopefully you can get the cold start problems resolved take care.
Thanks dude
Thanks for making these videos man, they’re really helpful.
Like your hat, too haha!
No problem. Haha thanks!
I appreciate the videos man. Can’t wait till upload after you install the hpfp.
Thanks bro
Have the same issue currently, dealer is replacing under warranty since there’s a recall on the suction pump.

For the recall they only go in the back seat right? Nothing in the trunk?
I noticed that you put the link to ECS on your site. Did you reach out to FCP Euro as well about the revision of the jet pump?
Question not related to the suction pump .
Did you ever replace a clutch along with the T and clutch master etc? Pretty much brand new clutch system ?
