      My son has the 2018. I have a Honda Africa Twin with engine braking. My bike has the DCT so I understand you engine braking could be adjustable but how does the adjusment work on a bike with a manual transmition?

    • @TheMachRider
      @TheMachRider 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@rdance3 since the throttle is operated electronically, the engine brake is adjusted by allowed the throttle plate itself to remain slightly open, thus allowing a little bit less engine braking.
      Being a DCT or manual has no bearing on this.

    It’s 2023 and this is still a good video review since the CBR1000RR hasn’t changed. I’m on the fence between the CBR, R1, and RSV4. The smarter decision for me would be to go with the CBR1000RR since I’m 5’8” and the bike will do best in the twisties in my region. It would be my daily commuter also. I like the other two but I’m hesitant trying to move them around with the taller seat heights in my hilly environment, hilly driveway and hills at work. Lol

    I got the 2011 red rocket cbr 1000rr and it was a little tame in its stock form. I got 8k miles on it. I got full yoshi exhaust, ecu tune on actual dyno rack, installed custom head with bored polished cylinders with oversizzed piston and rings. It dyoed at 193 hp at the rear tire. Shes fast now and in 4 gears you blimp the throttle and the front will come up, did I mention I installed a rev pro throttle and I absolutley love that thing, along wwith the healtech quickshifter. Shes a fun bike but I really like the aprilia rs 660. ANyone who can comment between the two bikes from experience.

    Hey just a couple things I noticed watching this vid... Can't you hear that you're still on the throttle when you start pulling in the clutch to shift? You're also at WOT but short shifting at the same time. One or the other dude. It's a '17 so u can't be worried about breaking it in right? If you're showing us the bikes power and you're getting on it, friggen ride it like you're supposed to and shift at red line so u can get into the power band and really show the viewer what it's got. And my dude, u gotta let us hear the bike too, you're talking the entire time without stopping. Best time to stop talking is during start-up and WOT. I hate to sound condescending cause you are doing your thing and I respect that, and love to see other riders promoting riding, and I do wish u the best of luck my man, but I had to say something.

    • @BrosFOURRSpeed
      @BrosFOURRSpeed  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah I can hear that slightly, not sure why I was shifting like that, don't normally do that...As far as redlining the bike, I don't even do that on my bike often. I don't need to be going triple digit speeds to show it's a quick bike, I'm not about doing that. We have some more bike reviews on the way, and we've learned a lot since then.

      No need to hit triple digit speeds on public roads. I can save that for track driving. It’s also not my bike, so I respect others vehicles. No need to show full throttle, you can get the point from accelerations I did.
