  • TextExpander (bit.ly/3sV4xHI) is one of my favourite productivity tools because of how much time it saves me!
    In this video, learn how to use TextExpander to store and retrieve text. TextExpander is great for storing things like email templates, links, corrections and other text you need to quickly retrieve. It's great for sales and customer service teams who need access to a shared list of email templates and sales copy to keep messaging consistent.

    Excelellent. Was searching for a video to show a friend a useful introduction to TextExpander. I watched it myself first and it reminded me of some things I never implemented. Hence it reenergised my use of TextExpander as well 😆

    Thank you. I really needed this tutorial, especially as nicely explained as you have done. You are my go-to person for classy, intelligent and to the point. TextExpander is very useful and I use it all day. Worth the cost of the subscription. Request: I use Moom to organize my DT. It is hard to learn. Do you have a better suggestion for organizing open windows? I typically have many apps open and organize them the same position daily to that I can access them on one desktop and compartmentalize them. Supposedly, Moom can reorganize with click but the software is difficult to work with and most of YT tutorial are worthless

      Thanks, glad you like the videos.
      I've never used that app. For window management, I use Keyboard Maestro. I'll see about making more videos on this!

    Really helpful. Thanks! I struggled to find the extension for my Edge browser. Solved it by going to chrome extension store. Nowadays they are allowing chrome store also.

    Thank you, Paul, for this well-done tutorial on TE! My TE 4.3 has countless snippets and they are not organized in folders as you show in your video. I am thinking of upgrading to TE 5.1.7 and I wonder if you think that after this upgrade I will be able to create folders (as you show in the first column, with these snippets in the second column in your video) and then organize these scattered snippets in a few named folders for easy classification and structure? I'd appreciate your expert advice!

      I'm not 100% certain but I would assume if you get the latest version you'll get access to folders.

    Great video and looks like a nice app. I do not mind buying an app but I will not pay for a subscription for an app. Guess I'll keep using the snippets in Alfred instead

      I find the $40 for the year very reasonable considering the time it saves me. I also find it a lot more powerful than the Alfred snippets. But that's just me.

    Really useful thanks. Is it possible to use The same snippets on more than one computer? For example, could I set this up on my MacBook but also use it on a PC at work? With an individual account

    • @minor-co
      @minor-co  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes, if you download TextExpander on both devices and sync the two, you can share the snippets.

    I downloaded the app and added you as the source. I am wondering, is there any way to create a "fancy" email signature; photo and social icons to the left, contact information to the right.

      Thanks! You can add rich text and images but a full signature may be a little bit of a stretch for TextExpander.

    Gentleman, I am looking for Vice to text expanders in any tool. I want to say code in voice which returns a sentence.

    Hey, I am trying to turn a word into a hyperlink, do you know if that is possible in TextExpander?

    • @minor-co
      @minor-co  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yes, make sure your 'Content Type' is set to 'Formatted Text, Pictures'
