Surprisingly, this game kinda made me more at peace with death?? Viewing it as a thing that has to happen to give people rest, rather than continuing life and getting bored and miserable with the constant repetition really resonated with me. I feel a lot less of the anxiety the mere thought gave me. The update was also so rad, and I love it tons.
AAA gaming has no excuse for their quality, when an indie is capable of inspiring multiple high-quality music videos and giving closure to people who are going through hard times. This is what a masterpiece looks like
I love that you feel just about the same way about this game as I do. How much it resonated in you, with a story striking a chord in you so much so that it changed your worldview. I love how it dives deep into the way perception changes the world, and how you must embrace change to truly live. It’s really profound stuff wrapped up in a very well presented package. And I LOVE the stills you made in the artstyle, your ability to emulate artstyles is astounding! I also didn’t know the stranger had her own ending ! This has to be my favourite video you’ve made by far Amb
mann, i have been absolutely dyyyyyying for more extremely in depth reviews of slay the princess, the only other one that could scratch that itch is PakPak's video, I am SO glad someone else stepped up and made one. Beautiful video, absolutely love it, keep up the fantastic work
Incredibly well made video, but I expect no less from you, Amber. I am glad to have had you share all of your experiences with this game. It truly is a masterpiece and I applaud just how thorough you we in deriving meaning from every single vessel. I have loved this game to pieces, but time and time again, struggle to find the words to describe what make it so special to me. Even now, at the end of this behemoth of a video, I don't know what to say. I suppose what I can say is that as someone who never felt the same degree of emotional attachment to The Thorn as the rest of the community, it was only through the words you shared that I begun to understand this path and resonate with her. I don't deal with trust issues a lot, but this last year, I was hurt by someone whom I'd thought to be a friend and your analysis of trust put things into a new perspective for me. Sometimes it can be hard to know if a change in our lives is good, but all we can do is push forward and find out. To be that force that can _make_ that change something to look forward to.
Really appreciate hearing all that. I had a good feeling that you'd end up watching this one, and it's great to hear that what I talked about resonated
@@amber_okaythen I watch _most_ of your stuff, I just don't always have much to say. You're one of my biggest inspirations and I mean that sincerely. Surprised to hear you thought about me at all considering we've still essentially never talked to each other before
Loved watching this video. There is always something magical about a newly released game having such a profound impact on people. Mostly when I see people talk about how a game changed them, its often a nostalgic experience that they are looking back on. The vibe of this video is entirely different from that, in that it is a very recent experience, and I find that awe inspiring. The media we interact with matters and so does the way we as the player/viewer interact with it. Considering the game in question, that just feels appropriate. Great Content, thanks for video Amber :D
People don't like the Smitten because our millenial brain conditioned agains his way of thinking :D. Out of joke Smitten is the aspect of you give chance to love her unconditionally and also the aspect can overwhelm and anchor her into a sugar coated stagnation when let it run free. Its stuper strong, immediately can ignore anythign the Narrator try throwing at you. He can take off her chains without any issue or need to hurt her or open any door or wave away any obsacles or make her able to do the same.
