Could be the throttle response delay that makes the power kick a bit delayed.
I'm excited to see the new model. Hopefully Ford Philippines will offer the stepboards on the truck bed even for the XLT and XLS models. Ford Cambodia is being criticized for not offering it on XL to XLT models, since those variants are work trucks.

I own the previous model (I think the only difference is the grill). If the sound system is the same, I like it better than the wife’s Ford Territory.

I think you should consider reviewing the new hilux G 4x2 at 2023 vs next gen ranger xlt, both have the same range but I think the ranger has more pros than the hilux (which we bought a week ago) even if its pricier than the ranger.

For 1.3M, I would prefer the Isuzu D-MAX 3.0 4x2 LS-A AT that has more powerful engine, larger cargo capacity, bigger and nicer (IMO) looking wheels, roof rack, 10-inch infotainment system, and of course the iconic sound of an Isuzu diesel engine! 😄

In this video, 8 minutes 10 seconds. A 1.3 Million Pick up is the All New Dmax RZ4E. And maybe you can also make a video of the RZ4E Dmax 2022.
Yes its a clearance sale and there are a lot of options in that 1.3million category and you can even have manual options. But the thing is there are a lot of discount with the said Rig.
Mind you our family had this car last 2016 and contrary to issues like reliability and what not.. its not that bad as what is expected of it. Although maybe its Casa maintained other than we Filipinos do (more discounted price on a non-casa service center) but lacks the checklist for the rig itself and also the Peace of mind you have.
Okay comparing the service charge of this to: toyota (15k casa) hyundai (14k casa) ford (suprisingly 14k casa) so its comparable compared to the conventional go to casa services.
I know you will tell me im a fan boy because we use this pick up truck a lot compared to the other ones but im also a car enthusiast who drove a lot of cars (borrowed from my colleagues) and the handling is superb compared to the likes of fortuner, hilux (damn this rig is heavy), montero (yup its stiffer but has better acceleration mainly because of the engine), isuzu mux(damn compared with fortuner-stiff as ever).
Its my perspective. But if you have a tight budget you might as well take my advice.
By the way, better also to visit and book a test drive to a lot of car brands first before you decide to get one car for your budget. Trust me it really differs. 😉👍

Aircon same as a sedan din naman. Wala ako reklamo. Although un lang same as sa mga ibang pick up except sa new bt-50, wala siyang aircon vent pra sa likod na passengers. Pero all in all okay naman.
Ride quality is better than hilux and isuzu dmax.
Pero best pa rin ang navarra sa ride comfort.
Eto din naging problem ko sa kanya, malaki xa pra ipark especially wala xang back up camera (back up sensors lang meron pero okay naman)
Kaya bumili ako ng dashcam na 4k pesos na meron na ring back camera since naka canopy pa ako na black tint.
Pero grbe ang sarap idrive pa rin nya. 😉👍
If the upcoming models will retain the prices of the current models then Ford will be a very nice to buy vehicle.

This is the vehicle my heart wants. But my Brain tells me otherwise. We were able to get Chery Tiggo 8 Lux Ex with the same amount (plus discounts and longer warranty). Man-hauler vs Porma and Angas. Maybe next time my heart will win :)

For 1.3 Million its either a Isuzu D-MAX 3.0 4x2 LS-A AT or Toyota Hilux 2.4 G DSL 4x2 AT this two is a proven to have good engine that could last a long time with no issue.

For Ford Ranger owners out there, is it a reliable vehicle?
owned a 2014 wildtrak which is the t6 platform same as this one. Overall the ride quality is better compared to other leaf spring pickups IMO. Not to mention, the very light steering wheel which is ford is known for. My only issue is when you have a manual gearbox and you need to change the slave cylinder, it is a bit of a hassle since it is inside the bell housing, not like other pickups wherein the slave cylinder is located just outside the housing. But overall, quite a comfortable and reliable ride, We use ours for hauling stuffs sometimes exceeding 1 ton with the 2.2 engine having no problem at all. And if you're asking how about the automatic? My friend has one which is around 120k mileage already, its a 2016 wildtrak, up until now the tranny shifts like brand new. Hope this helps out!

Pros and cons of this vehicle for me
Pros
- 2.2 engine may not be as powerful, but is already the proven and tested engine made by Ford and would rather have this than that 2.0 turbo engine.
- Multimedia system is the perfect balance of up to date tech and user friendliness. Will never be a fan of Tesla-style multimedia screens.
- New model is still based on this platform and looks very much like it, so the outgoing model won't look terribly outdated once the new one gets launched.
Cons
- No reverse camera, and aftermarket ones are usually sh*tty
- No telescopic steering, quite a pet peeve of mine if a vehicle is already above 1M
- Dashboard feels dated compared to it's exterior tbh.
I can fit a full sized mountain bike in my MG RX 5 :)))))

WHy not just get the Toyota Hilux G at the same price point rather than going on an outgoing model. Unless Ford gives 250k discount, this XLT isn't worth it.

Caco choice for a vehicle back then was Mazda CX5 but his wife preferred a bigger 7 seater SUV hence the family chose Montero sport GT 4x4 i think it was 2019 model.
