Great news! I just got monetized! Got my e-mail this morning! It took me 1 full week. I must admit, I did have about 4 or 5 videos that had snips of copyright music. So after I watched your other about the impact of copyrights on video for potential acceptance, I went into those videos and replaced the songs in all except 1. This morning, I woke up to my acceptance letter🙌🙌🙌🙌
I was just monetised this morning at 4am UK time and it took 67.5hrs from when I submitted my application which was 0830hrs on a Saturday morning (just in case this helps anyone)
My channel started off barely getting any views for the first few months and then I changed the way I interacted with my audience and then I suddenly started getting thousands of views! For everyone thinking of starting a channel or is struggling to grow, keep working hard and make sure to stay consistent, you WILL get there, it's just a matter of how much effort you put into your videos. I passed 1000 subscribers and 4000 hours watch time on September 7th, 2021. I gave TH-cam my apply immediately, and to my surprise, TH-cam accepted me in 3 days, on September 10th, 2021.
Mine took a weekend like yours did. I applied on a Friday and received notice the following Monday. I do want to point out Friday is an upload day for me so I was checking the YT Studio app on my phone over the weekend and noticed the revenue tab added on Sunday so even though I didn't receive an email until Monday, I knew I was accepted beforehand.

It took about a month to be accepted. It was right at the start of the pandemic. Great timing right 😂. Was really excited to hit the requirements and then having to wait a full month for it to be approved blew. But hey can’t complain too much. The grind of TH-cam continues

It took me roughly 3 years to get the stats. The subs was the longest part BUT the watch time was 5000 ish. It feels good to be able to comment this..keep posting those videos and keep improving your content. Your hard work will pay off sooner or later
we got monetized in 2017 and then after 1 month youtube policy was updated with 4k hours of watch time we got demonetized.. and today after 3 years we reached that threshold and application is resubmitted again.. let's hope for good.

I already got approved for Monetization today I applied on May 8th 2021 and 5 days later on May 14th 2021 I was approved and it was a good experience and I couldn't be happier that I now got that feature 😁😁🎉🎉

my channel (not this one...) got accepted after 36 hours in June 2020. It had about 80 videos, no controversial or reused content. I didn't have another channel or any other advantages, so maybe TH-cam is just usually this fast now, as long as there are no problems...

Follow up question: on average How long does it generally take from brand new to monetization. I am aware Tube Buddy had a ton of data, but reviews were mostly for higher level play buttons, etc... Is there a different average per niche?
I just got my 1,000th subscriber today! I've had enough watch hours for 8 months! I have nearly 11k watch hours now as the subscriber goal is achieved. Now I'll see how long it takes for them to approve me. It's informative to look through the comments and see how long others have had to wait.

I’ve already got an Adsense account set up cuz I was monetised before but now I don’t have 4K hours Also, I’ve now got the copyright tab in all my accounts. You don’t need to be in the partner program anymore but it looks different and doesn’t have match and stuff
@@vidIQ Oh, I definitely have the Copyright tab already pre-YPP. But I'm referring specifically to TH-cam auto-scanning other videos for a match, they don't seem to do the automatic searching of other videos... unless you are in YPP. Before YPP, the Copyright tab is being added but is only for you to make MANUAL claims against someone else's content. That part is now integrated into Studio directly & available to everyone.

Yo! I made my channel roughly 1 month ago, and applied for monetization at 12:41 am may 22nd (sunday (or 2 hours ago for me)) CDT and have id say- fairly controversial content? ill update you guys when i get a response :)
@@vidIQ Yes. As I was transitioning I unlisted the content that didnt fit with my current content. I didnt want to confuse TH-cam about what I did, or newer visitors as I made the transition. HOWEVER, I did add all of my Fortnite content to a Public playlist on my playlist tab so its still there. I then changed the thumbnail on my most viewed FN vid which I kept public as it matched my new content in terms of niche.
It took me a day to recently get accepted. I think it was because I had reapplied after being demonetized 3 years ago. They kept my application on file and I did not have to reapply and a day later I was remonetized.

Revenue tab gets added as soon as step Two is completed. Unless the Dollar sign pops up for each video, acceptance is still pending.

Yeah, the match functionality is limited to YPP still. But they made it easier for smaller channels to report stuff if they need to.
Yeah these days you can just go through another company to get your videos copyrighted and do it through them instead of TH-cam.
It does look like it is rolling out to more users, but the official support page says you still need to be in YPP to get it.

It took me a day to recently get accepted.
I think it was because I had reapplied after being demonetized 3 years ago. They kept my application on file and I did not have to reapply and a day later I was remonetized.
It took me 48 hours to be accepted
But my Adsense account took 2 weeks
I thought they would be at the same time? How did that go for you?
mine got done within 24 hours!! really good - and it was during the pandemic! (:
