Mad respect to this man. I can't run 2 miles straight let alone a marathon along with more than 2 miles of swimming an over 100 miles biking. That's insane.
When Chris started training for triathlons, he could barely run a mile straight, could barely swim a lap in a pool, and had a hard time riding a bike at all. It’s absolutely incredible how much he progressed to be able to complete an Ironman. What an inspiration!
Just watched this live and was crying on my couch. This is amazing and Chris is an inspiration to not only others with Down Syndrome, but to every person on this planet.
This man is more than a Ironman. What he has accomplished is truly remarkable. Don't give up, don't ever give up. Those words from jimmy v have inspired so many and will continue too. This man's journey will do the same. I cried watching this. So many emotions. Everyone no matter what can accomplish anything if they believe, never quit and ignore all the negatively
Wow! Everyone uses the word 'inspiration'. Because that's what Chris is. His picture should be in the dictionary next to that word. Too bad only 19,000 plus people (at this posting) have seen this vid. We could all use a hero. I applaud you, Chris Nikic!
what about the kids whos parents are not well off enough financially to have a team help their kid or be on espn? Think they could achieve a big goal like this what a joke
That’s not the message at all. Like how could you even bring finances into this? This video is about pushing past what you think is possible; that barriers can be broken and obstacles can be overcome. This has nothing to do with money or support, this is about having a dream and not letting anyone or anything get in the way. Grow up and stop commenting trash like this on truly inspiring stuff. You’re the only joke here buddy
