- In this video, The Motorrad Rider does an unboxing and detailed review of SIDI's flagship adventure boot. Watch the video and find out if the Adventure 2 boots are your purchase. The boots reviewed have been worn for some number of thousands of kilometres and you may well be surprised at their condition.
They are available from reputable motorcycle equipment and clothing suppliers in many countries around the globe.

In 2024 SIdi says they have now stopped the squeaking noise they would make when walking with them in prior years.
Be aware that silicone is not good for leather. So do not use it to try to stop the squeaking.
Waterproofing sprays with silicone should never be used on anything leather. Not boots, jackets, gloves,...
Maybe an oil, oil based or bees wax product can be used to lube the straps to stop the squeaking? Ask at a good outdoor camping, hiking type store.

I really enjoyed this review by an Aussie rider. After 10 years I recently became a postie again, this time in country Vic. I was stuck using my old Rossi leather boots in mud and rain, and they gave me no real protection. I bought these Sidi boots today and they are a quantum leap beyond anything I've worn before. They are as warm as Ugg boots and thick socks, and nearly as comfortable even after 7-8 hours wearing them. They make your feet and lower leg feel bulletproof. I wish I had them 10 years ago!
I might apply silicone or just beeswax around the ankle straps, but I've had no indication that these boots will squeak. I bought a can of hydrophobic spray coating, which I will apply. I'll also use it on the back of my gloves. No more wet, frozen fingers and toes for this little black duck!

The Sidi’s are great boots and I’m sure they will give you exemplary service in all weather conditions and I would imagine they are fairly ‘puncture proof’ (read, ‘bite resistant’) which can only be a benefit around unsecured dogs 😳.

@@TheMotorradRider Thanks, mate. It felt great to be out on the bike again after so long, even with inadequate gear for the conditions. These boots will give me a lot more control in slippery conditions, as well as comfort and protection surpassing anything I've worn before.
I'd already purchased them before seeing your review, and my assessment (based on riding experience) was confirmed. These are not cheap boots, but well worth the expense.
Your review is of great service to less experienced riders seeking advice. Your efforts will reduce injury and possibly even save lives.

@@TheMotorradRider It would be a pleasure. At the moment I only have a postie bike for work. I used to rely on sports road bikes as my primary transport. Although I grew up riding road-trail bikes I've never been a hard core trail rider. No way I could keep up with you if you are going hard.
I'll need to borrow a decent bike unless you have a spare. What I can add is my DJI Mini 2 drone (if it's not raining). I might be able to take some nice aerial shots and video of you in action that you can use for your channel.
They are a brilliant boot from Italy a lot of thought and trial and error went in to those boots jimmy WA

I ordered these an tried them out on my CRF250L & Moto Guzzi V7.
Very hard to upshift the Honda, & very hard to downshift the M-G.
I will adapt. No way I'm riding in sneakers!

You mentioned the boots have real leather on the sides of the boots. Can you please let me know where this information is written. The web sites all say micro fibre. Thanks for a good review.

Another great video. I'm in the market for boots and several pair are on my list. These Sidi's are one of them. You may have convinced to get them but the height of the toe box on all boots are a concern me. I've returned a pair of boots because the toe box was too high. I ware the low Forma's for around the city and I'm happy with that height. I wouldn't want anything higher. I had to adjust my shifter up to accommodate the Forma's. Any thoughts on a height comparison with the Sidi's.....?
Could not agree more Stan. Now here we go into my attempt to assist!!
I generally wear the BMW Sneakers around town and short trips but use the SIDI's when on a trip or working. With the sneakers, like you suggested, no problems with the shift lever. With the SIDI's, a different "kettle of fish". I was struggling hooking under the lever and found I was concentrating more and more on gear changes than actually riding.....NOT GOOD! However, after some perseverance (read bloody mindedness), I realised that I did not have to hook fully under the lever, rather PARTIALLY hook under and let the friction on the shift pad of the boot and the rubber of the shift lever do their stuff. Hey presto, all good.
Now a little further down the track (literally), I purposely kept the SIDI's on and walked in them to wear them in and form creases in the right places and by doing this, the area where the shift pad is placed on the boot, has with time, become slightly lower and therefore the shift lever is getting further across the boot.
I took the left boot out to workshop and measured the height of the toe box for you. By placing the boot with the sole area from the fore foot to the toe on a flat surface, I placed a steel rule on the flat surface and then whilst looking horizontally across the top of the toe box right in the middle of the shift pad took a measurement which read 60mm in height. That is a few millimetres lower that when they were brand new.
What I would suggest is, they are a great boot and yes, I did have my doubts initially because of the shifting, but don't let that put you off. They will wear in and I can truthfully say that I don't even think about about shifting now.
I hope that helps and the reply was not too long winded.
I really don't understand why Sidi are using the term "full grain" to describe what is effectively a plastic, man made material, full grain is specific to leather, really, what they should be saying is "man made leather substitute, with skin pattern moulded in" 😄, all that considered, I am very interested in these as soon as I can get to a shop to try a pair or two on 👀....
They’re great boots and I’m sure you’ll be happy with them. The Alpinestars Toucans are a very comfortable boot but lack the ankle hyperextension protection. Just a thought 😉. Thanks for watching the video and taking the time to comment.
I may be looking at these as my next boots. I just had a pair of Dianese Freeland Gortex boots they were super comfortable, but unfortunately a car pulled out in front of me and then I felt my leg bend bend bend then snap above the ankle, I ended up with a compound leg fracture of the Tibia and Fibula and now in the early stages of recovery, after having surgery to insert a metal rod and screws in my leg.
I feel my Freeland boots prevented more damage, than if I was not wearing any, but also feel the comfortable fit and lateral movement are a compromise in safety, had I been wearing these Sidi boots would I still have a broken leg ?who knows but I am not willing to take the chance again. I was only doing 50kmph when my accident happened.

Great looking boots. Well made as Sidi does. How is chaffing around the upper calf area?
Well made indeed....and replaceable buckles etc., for a linger life. I don’t seem to get any chafing but there again I always wear long motorcycle socks with them that are made from Coolmax to help the Goretex liner in the boot work. You will need to consider how you like your feet to ‘feel’. Are your feet a wide or narrow fitting? Will you be riding in thick socks or thin and in hot or cold weather? These are but some of the considerations that you need to address prior to purchase and if at all possible, try the boots on to see if they are for you. Do they make any sound around the ankle where the screws are??🤔
No, mine don’t from the screws around the ankle. They can from the base of the straps that mount the cam buckles if not treated with silicone spray applied to a cloth and then onto the boot.
