Half this content is literally already $100 in Destiny. Every expansion is literally just new story and a new map with no change in gameplay, status quo, and barely any new dialogue. I am a hardcore destiny player lol
nuh uh, it would be $149.99 for 40% of the content and then the other 60% would be released behind 46 season passes at $15 each and it would be as painfully bad to play as it is to interact with its community
@@erikirgens4260 If youre a hardcore destiny player then you straight up know youre lying? Wheres warframes raids, how about even so much as strikes? Balance passes to brint overperforminy equipment down so that nothing is trivializing the game? Even the new gamemode ascension is sub par with very poor rewards and Alchemy is basically already irrelevant due to how unfun and unrewarding it is.
@@theurbanreanimator7244 Your grievances against Warframe in your comment mean nothing to me because I don't play it. But you HAVE to know that Destiny doesn't change the status quo, either... ever. Even with TFS. The story had maybe 3-5 "interactions" between "characters" in real-time cutscenes at the campfires. The map is just cut up old assets thrown around for nostalgia. The Witness "caves" or whatever we go into were just vignettes with a voiceover. You know what Destiny doesn't have? Vehicles other than sparrows. We can talk about the other vehicles, but since Destiny 1 they've been completely de-emphasized. The combat stays the same. Ghost can't die because he's a MTX item. We could never lose because the game can't end. Narrative stakes don't exist. Strikes and Raids and Dungeons are definitely a core pillar of Destiny, but if you even compare them to other games that have those items they are overshadowed. Destiny will charge you $100 for every new expansion (to include the "Season pass") for content that is a maximum of 10 missions, half of which are uneventful. TFS didn't even bother to break up the gameplay for what little variation there is in Destiny. Despite Lightfall being a disaster of a narrative, it at least tried new things on Neomuna and the missions had varying degrees of intensity and gameplay mechanics. But, yes. We never will get a new form of transportation. We will never get anywhere near the level of dialogue and interaction that we just saw in this TRAILER ALONE (there was more ANIMATED dialogue in this 20 minutes than the entirety of Destiny's expansions). And we will never get our money's worth. I've played every expansion. We should be expecting much more from Bungie for full-priced game "expansions".

since proto Nyx and Excal are siblings here, I hope on later story updates Volt and Gauss are related or rivals at the least (with how Gauss works in origin system, I'm betting the dude's gonna be high like Octane while having jet boosters strapped to him)
Albrecht kinda picked people at random to partially helminth using ballas's schematics. DE could still do this, but they dont really have to abide by any of the individual warframes lore if they add more proto frames than shown
@@Toughbiscuit_ oh yeah for sure, but it was a nice reference to Excal and Nyx's backstory of development as for the other proto frames I do hope they add more references from the old lore or community stuff
Judging with Volts personality being quite quirky and nerdy, i dont think Volt would initiate the first rivalry thingy here but with Gauss on the other hand being quite cocky in his prime trailer, I think Gauss' personality in his prime trailer is quite similar to Scout from TF2. As said with Volts personality, i dont think they'll be rivals, brothers maybe who dont like each other but yea.
@myu3244 I can see it as a one way rivalry of sorts, while normal Gauss is faster than a combat build/all purpose Volt. But if Volt is focused on speed, he's quite a lot faster than Gauss Could be where Gauss knows Volt's potential but hates how he chooses not to go as fast as he can so the one sided rivalry is there somewhat Heck them being brothers would work with what I wrote as well haha
@Xephyranth gauss and volt are different sides of speed, volt has to accelerate, so you can think of him as a distance runner/sprinter in game. Gauss just goes at top speed all the time, in a short sprint he will beat volt every time If that makes sense towards the rivalry
@@jidhindharanm.p9351 Nsync was a boyband from the 90's and its a joke in reference to the boyband we see in 1999. Y2K was something that caused a lot of panic in the 90s because everyone thought that all computers would brick up due to a glitch in how computers displayed the year 2000 and they thought this would destroy all electronics and end the world. In the end nothing happened, and since warframe 1999 takes place on the last day of the year 1999 the joke was that the boy band we see in the gameplay somehow caused the glitch to actually happen. Tennocyte is the name of the virus that created the infested, its also a variant of the helminth, which is the strain used to create the warframes we pilot. As to how 1999 is tied to the lore, Eternalism is your answer.
@@jidhindharanm.p9351 Albrecht Entrati tried to escape from the man in the wall by going back in time to 1999 and having Loid destroy his time machine in whispers in the walls. As we see that didn't work and Albrecht as he said in the whispers quest wasn't even sure if he was himself anymore or if he himself was in fact the man in the wall. I think with the man in the wall/ the void and all the time/space fuckery that comes with it going back to 1999 it somehow infected the world there and fused the 2 timelines. Last part is just speculation on my part, most likely accurate tho.. But it ties into the lore by Entrati traveling to 1999 to escape and stop the man in the wall, which obviously didn't work.
Steve, I love you and your antics. But since Reb has taken over as Creative Director, things for this game have been so much bigger, better, and cooler. A fantastic job well done on this update to the team at DE. Super excited to play this, this winter!!
So true, at this point it’s quite obvious Steve was seriously dragging the team. So many half polished updates, and since Reb took over we now have multiple BIG reworks including the Operator rework, Companion rework, shield update, status update and the two literal worst frames that is now much better (Inaros and Hyrdoid).
I didn't want to say it myself, but i agree. The story has become so much more real and emotional, Jade being the latest example of that. My reaction to stalker used to be "ugh, here we go again, let's get this over with", and now i'm legit glad to see him. And i also kept my Jade default fashion, and i share Ordis's happiness when he sees her. And they knew what they were doing letting us hug the cavias, i cry every single time when i hug Tagfer. I don't think they would've taken this direction without Reb, let alone let us romance someone ourselves.
I think it helps so much that Rebecca played the game for the longest amount of time out or the old team. She also communicated the most with the players, so they know what they want. I love Steve and appreciated Scott too, but I've always felt like, they don't really play the game on the same level as the players. By this I mostly mean, that they probably had an image in their head, about what Warframe should be like, but somehow the game evolved to a completely different thing, but they refused to let that old image go. Reb feels more like, she's embracing the crazy. Also thank god for Pablo, because everything he touches turns out gold.
@@bookfish You can see elements of Steve and more specifically Sheldon doing this in the past. NovaUmbral has a great video on the old Relic system and it has examples in it where both Steve and Sheldon had a complete lack of understanding and empathy for what the players were struggling with when trying to get the old Prime Frames and Gear. There were some other DE employees that basically said "skill issue" to the players. Since Reb has hopped on as CD, the changes and updates have been amazing, so many QOL and tweaks. Incarnon's were Reb's idea and so were Archon shards most likely, since players were BEGGING for some form of endgame content other than Steel Path. Steve would have never given us anything past Steel Path for endgame if he was left in charge
@@starchild2299 I also think the story has become a lot more coherent and far better written and easier to understand. Actually, whole planet is about fairy creatures, and Rusalka is mermaid in Russian
In a Dark Sector there was a ship called Rusalka, which was involved in the story of the game.
For more context:
this is a reference to the times when the cold war was over, the USSR was destroyed and the American mass media could make fun of the defeated opponent, releasing low-quality video propaganda about "evil Russian Ivans, drinking vodka with bears and balalaikas". There is a special term in Russian for this phenomenon of foreigners demonizing Russians: "Klyukva" (Cranberry)

This amount of content would cost 100 dollars in Destiny.
Warframe has been stuck in a status quo of low difficulty, low reward content with all new warframes falling into the same nuking gameplay loop for years now, like cool the story is fun but pretending as if warframe is more innovative with their gameplay loop when its been the exact same for years is disingenuous.
We should be expecting much more from Bungie for full-priced game "expansions".

since proto Nyx and Excal are siblings here, I hope on later story updates Volt and Gauss are related or rivals at the least
(with how Gauss works in origin system, I'm betting the dude's gonna be high like Octane while having jet boosters strapped to him)
Albrecht kinda picked people at random to partially helminth using ballas's schematics. DE could still do this, but they dont really have to abide by any of the individual warframes lore if they add more proto frames than shown
@@Toughbiscuit_ oh yeah for sure, but it was a nice reference to Excal and Nyx's backstory of development
as for the other proto frames I do hope they add more references from the old lore or community stuff
But if Volt is focused on speed, he's quite a lot faster than Gauss
Could be where Gauss knows Volt's potential but hates how he chooses not to go as fast as he can so the one sided rivalry is there somewhat
Heck them being brothers would work with what I wrote as well haha
@Xephyranth gauss and volt are different sides of speed, volt has to accelerate, so you can think of him as a distance runner/sprinter in game.
Gauss just goes at top speed all the time, in a short sprint he will beat volt every time
If that makes sense towards the rivalry

@@mbrown7361 Yeah but I mean like, actual Dark Sector, not necessarily 1999 which is heavily reminiscent/inspired. I mean, if 1999 somehow references the events of Dark Sector and/or is implied to take place in the same timeline, or if Dark Sector is confirmed to be some alternative timeline that's technically some form of canon to Warframe, I'd be very happy.
But I very much understand that's *very* wishful thinking.

I absolutely think so.
