If impregnated before becoming a Helminth victim, then yes, we now know they'll eventually give birth centuries later and it'll drain the mother of her powers and life force. But warframe on warframe can't be done since they ain't got genitals

So that means in order for her to remain with the stalker after taking some type of serious hit. She was infected and slowly turned into a warframe but unbeknownst to Sorren she was pregnant. What makes it worse is PROBABLY the baby was draining her lifeforce and she let it so the baby can survive.

DE got me right in the feels with this one; there is no fury greater than that of a parent protecting their child. It's not just emotion, it's an instinct hardwired into the deepest, most primal part of our nature.
Imagine the Orokin knew this and decided to weaponize pregnant women and married fathers knowing they'd give birth to beings they could weaponize for war. If Stalker is any indication, they would have been unstoppable.
All this time we asked, “Where is the Stalker?”. But we never asked “How is the Stalker?”. Seriously I knew there was something tragic behind the stalker, but THIS… was so unexpected.
What I think is interesting is that this baby warframe is alive. Clearly no tenno is controling him, so it has it's own mind, brain and stuff. Pretty similiar to Umbra who also did not need a tenno to roam freely, the differance is that Umbra was made, Sirius/Orion was born. Really interesting turn of events, considering it's a main story quest there's a lot more to come.
And Umbra like Stalker and Jade is essentially also a ghost in their own machine body. So if anything Sirius/Orion are VERY much different, maybe the Warframes will develop into a new species and break free of having to be eternal mindless soldiers?
warframes CAN live without Tenno controlling them,problem is that due to how most warframes were made,they are constantly in pain,rage and in general suffering.Tenno can calm them down,like we do with Umbra.This child is not mortal turned warframe,thus they are not in pain
In a retroactive way....this recontextualizes the Stalkers actions during the second dream. He might not have understood why he stayed his hand when it was revealed the Tenno are but children. Hunhow may have goaded him. But deep down it was his instincts telling him to protect a child...
Yeah, and the second the Warframe moves in the last part of The Second Dream, he gladly diverts his attention. He was still conflicted to even hurt us.

Poor hunhow, the great and terrible Hunhow, all alone now in his private expensive underwater bunker since his adopted edgy son and daughter in law started a family and left the household. At least lotus calls him from time to time.
To be honest I think Hunhow has gotten used to us. He even placed his hatred of tenno on the side twice for the New War and this quest when he told Stalker the only help was from the Tenno. And even gave us the blueprint to Jade. I do wish for Hunhow to come around to us and maybe even ring us up

I’m not a father but I do have a baby sister who just hit 1. It’s her, my mom and I since the dad moved out of state. So this quest sure got me in the heart like one of Styanax’s many spears.
The Corpus are human, slaves to the Orokin and probably knew what it was like to be a child after the old war so maybe that's why Xeto stopped. I wonder what Parvos would have done? Also, imagine if the Grineer got there? I would never see the Grineer stopping.
Parvos would've kept firing or took the kid.... xeto still has a soul or lack there of. But it does show the corpus for once put money aside and did something honorable. And not get in the stalker's way

A little Miracle has been born into the New Origin System. Even a member of the Sisters of Parvos knew what this meant, and allowed the freedom of this miracle child, born of the suffering of a mother and father, turned into weapons of war. With this said, we also know something else. Not ALL Warframes are controlled by Tenno. Umbra was considered the exception to that until now. Some retain their memories of their life before they became what should have been husks. And Sorren and Jade, bless their hearts, made it this long together…may she rest in peace, and the Stalker, now a father to Sirius/Orion, be left alone to raise the child that was not given the chance to be born all those eons ago.
Just a clarification, Captain Xeto is not a Sister of Parvos, she is a candidate to become one and the last part of the quest was her trial. If she was a Sister she probably wouldn't have given up the baby since they are ruthlessly loyal to Parvos it seems, I think she took the decision to let the Stalker go because there was no consequences to her except not being able to become a Sister of Parvos in the future as she lost her chance.

I love how throughout the entire quest, Stalker, who hates everyone and everything, is forced to rely on Hunhow, The Tenno, and finally even the Corpus who hunts him offers her aid. After crushing betrayal from the Orokin that has haunted him for thousands of years, his trust is validated again and again. All of it serves to vindicate his wife’s philosophy of mercy and trust, which allowed her to make peace with the Tenno controlling her and later saved her child.
8 year retired player here (2014-2022) there never was any lore for him before the second dream quest outside of the "some of walked these desolate halls" codex entry
It's strange for them to just let him go, the captain was looking for a Warframe as a prize instead she finds an old Hunter of tenno carrying something impossible to exist, a child born Warframe, not built or changed from infestation, but something new and born, And yet the captain and her troops just let him go.. I guess not every corpus is as cruel as they're made out to be, for this one didn't see a prize to bring to Parvos to become a sister, she saw a child born from a mother of jaded light, and a father of the darkest shadow.
In the moment it works, because the trope of "sworn enemy has a moment of humanity in the face of something unexpected and stands aside to let their quarry dramatically walk past" is a pretty good one, and this is a decent execution of it. But given her characterization up to this point (belittling her underlings, seeing the situation as an opportunity, et cetera), it doesn't actually make sense upon further thought that she'd let them go. If anything, she'd be even more hell-bent on capturing them both after witnessing something that should be impossible. Her call to stop firing would only be out of fear of destroying it by accident, not out of compassion.

Love and cherish your parents... They want the best for you. I am getting close to my 40s and it hurts seeing them get older, weaker... All the little things they ever did for me I cherish with so much love, knowing that they wanted to make me happy regardless of how sad and depressed I was. Warframe is such a beautiful game, it really made a difference in my life and I hope it does the same for others.

People stating correctly that Jade was pregnant before becoming warframe. This does not mean warframes cannot reproduce. Because now sirius/orion exist and through them the implication is they can now.
After this happens, Stalker still shows up to hunt down Tenno's Warframe for helping him :( However, when he sees Tenno piloting Warframe Jade, he gives up the fight and disappears.
It’s been ages since the system has seen a newborn, ever since the old war people have been cloned instead of born, that’s why the corpus let him through, because in the origin system, a child truly is a miracle

That final decision with the colours, I take it to mean that green is what Jade would've named him and red is what the Stalker would've named him. Given the events, I figured it was thematically fitting to go with green.
I mean it's a green orb...she has green orbs in her flying guys and in the signa too. I know it's a "disguise" as a motiff but since this is the presentation DE went, to me it's more like the baby was constructed from the orb (some genetic information her warframed stored from the baby through or after the "warframization" or something like this idk...)than the orb being the baby itself.
also pretty crazy that the squadron lines up to what seems like catch a look at the baby before going 'oh shit its real' and appropriately spreading back out
Oh just had a great idea....the child is a warframe Sirius/Orion will properly be the next frame so what if you have them and at a random time on a mission Stalker would randomly show up and maybe revive you and maybe there is a higher chance he show up if you are playing on a solo mission as Sirius/Orion.
Not the first time that a new quest isn't replayable. I think it's because of an issue such as getting the ending rewards again for redoing the quest. Not sure why this isn't a thing from the beginning but it'll be replayable in a future update
I like the scene on the surface where they stop firing once they hear the baby crying. It shows some of the Corpus actually have some kind of moral compass. Yes, they are enemies to warframes and Tenno, but they wouldn't hurt an innocent newborn. Nef Anyo could take some lessons from Parvos's Corpus before cutting the legs and arms from Solaris.
Ok, in a couple of years I expect a Warframe called Sirius with the powers of the Stalker mixed with Jade's. And maybe a passive that randomly summons papa to help out.

Warframes feed on void energy as a result of the tenno but due to the fact Jade doesn’t have one her own will. Meaning the child was draining the mother’s energy and jade knew that and allowed it knowing her life would fade. Emotions are apparently what keeps the sentient part of the person thinking for themselves.
Warframes can get pregnant. But the conception of life is equal to a cloning vat. However, it has more "Emotion" in it. Its how Sorren and Jade lived... and loved. I can go all science here on the concept, but let's just enjoy that Sorren is a father, and we don't have to fight him anymore. (Though, I would like another Hatred in my arsenal)
I think Xeto knew what the brass was gonna do the child so she just chose to do nothing and let them pass... You dont accomplish the mission but you also dont help the enemy...
I want to believe so but the fact that you get to choose the name makes me wonder how one is gonna market it. In Genshin Impsct, for a certain character you are able to choose their name, so its highly likely that Sirius/Orion will go by a different default name in the future or we just won't play as them at all.

Just a clarification, Captain Xeto is not a Sister of Parvos, she is a candidate to become one and the last part of the quest was her trial. If she was a Sister she probably wouldn't have given up the baby since they are ruthlessly loyal to Parvos it seems, I think she took the decision to let the Stalker go because there was no consequences to her except not being able to become a Sister of Parvos in the future as she lost her chance.

I love how throughout the entire quest, Stalker, who hates everyone and everything, is forced to rely on Hunhow, The Tenno, and finally even the Corpus who hunts him offers her aid. After crushing betrayal from the Orokin that has haunted him for thousands of years, his trust is validated again and again. All of it serves to vindicate his wife’s philosophy of mercy and trust, which allowed her to make peace with the Tenno controlling her and later saved her child.
Now this makes me feel bad for the Stalker cause i didnt know much lore on him until now.
I don't think anybody did for a while.
8 year retired player here (2014-2022) there never was any lore for him before the second dream quest outside of the "some of walked these desolate halls" codex entry
Well Now we know and i bet some of us felt a lil guilty bullying him whenever we encounter him.
This is literally 10x more lore than we have had in him at any point.

It's strange for them to just let him go, the captain was looking for a Warframe as a prize instead she finds an old Hunter of tenno carrying something impossible to exist, a child born Warframe, not built or changed from infestation, but something new and born, And yet the captain and her troops just let him go..
I guess not every corpus is as cruel as they're made out to be, for this one didn't see a prize to bring to Parvos to become a sister, she saw a child born from a mother of jaded light, and a father of the darkest shadow.
In the moment it works, because the trope of "sworn enemy has a moment of humanity in the face of something unexpected and stands aside to let their quarry dramatically walk past" is a pretty good one, and this is a decent execution of it.
But given her characterization up to this point (belittling her underlings, seeing the situation as an opportunity, et cetera), it doesn't actually make sense upon further thought that she'd let them go. If anything, she'd be even more hell-bent on capturing them both after witnessing something that should be impossible. Her call to stop firing would only be out of fear of destroying it by accident, not out of compassion.
@@Biscotum maybe not, these corpus clearly follow the example of parvos and call me crazy but i don't think parvos would condone putting a child in danger for profit, if anything this shows that even the corpus have lines they don't cross unlike the orokin. obviously nef anyo would see the opportunity and not give a damn about moral's but this captain seems to be different, even if she also abuses those under her.

Love and cherish your parents... They want the best for you. I am getting close to my 40s and it hurts seeing them get older, weaker... All the little things they ever did for me I cherish with so much love, knowing that they wanted to make me happy regardless of how sad and depressed I was. Warframe is such a beautiful game, it really made a difference in my life and I hope it does the same for others.

Nah, because what’s insane isn’t even that the Corpus let Stalker go, it’s that the Stalker didn’t slaughter them all once they had let their guard down. Bro was done fighting, he just wanted to escape with his child.
People stating correctly that Jade was pregnant before becoming warframe. This does not mean warframes cannot reproduce. Because now sirius/orion exist and through them the implication is they can now.
After this happens, Stalker still shows up to hunt down Tenno's Warframe for helping him :(
However, when he sees Tenno piloting Warframe Jade, he gives up the fight and disappears.
he still hates the tenno, but he's willing to work with them if its in his best interests to do so

That final decision with the colours, I take it to mean that green is what Jade would've named him and red is what the Stalker would've named him. Given the events, I figured it was thematically fitting to go with green.

I know it's a "disguise" as a motiff but since this is the presentation DE went, to me it's more like the baby was constructed from the orb (some genetic information her warframed stored from the baby through or after the "warframization" or something like this idk...)than the orb being the baby itself.

Oh just had a great idea....the child is a warframe Sirius/Orion will properly be the next frame so what if you have them and at a random time on a mission Stalker would randomly show up and maybe revive you and maybe there is a higher chance he show up if you are playing on a solo mission as Sirius/Orion.

Not the first time that a new quest isn't replayable. I think it's because of an issue such as getting the ending rewards again for redoing the quest. Not sure why this isn't a thing from the beginning but it'll be replayable in a future update

I like the scene on the surface where they stop firing once they hear the baby crying. It shows some of the Corpus actually have some kind of moral compass. Yes, they are enemies to warframes and Tenno, but they wouldn't hurt an innocent newborn.
Nef Anyo could take some lessons from Parvos's Corpus before cutting the legs and arms from Solaris.
Ok, in a couple of years I expect a Warframe called Sirius with the powers of the Stalker mixed with Jade's. And maybe a passive that randomly summons papa to help out.

Warframes feed on void energy as a result of the tenno but due to the fact Jade doesn’t have one her own will. Meaning the child was draining the mother’s energy and jade knew that and allowed it knowing her life would fade. Emotions are apparently what keeps the sentient part of the person thinking for themselves.

I want to believe so but the fact that you get to choose the name makes me wonder how one is gonna market it. In Genshin Impsct, for a certain character you are able to choose their name, so its highly likely that Sirius/Orion will go by a different default name in the future or we just won't play as them at all.
