That jumpsuit is *stunning*! Thank you for all the effort you to go collating those patterns! I would def go for a big floral print for your wedding outfit. Although the pink/red combo also sounds great. Can't wait to see what you make!
Love your content. I don't have an occasion to wear one of these dresses, but it's fun to watch. I could see the pattern you've chosen for yourself in a large floral on top with a solid coloured bottom. Look forward to seeing the finished product.
I have no need for an occasion dress but it's fun to look. Great job on the research. I am currently altering a wedding gown. It is a beautiful cotton rayon lace outer layer, very sleek and slim until the slight flair just below the knee, and a small train at the back. Underneath it has 2 layers of knit fabric. It is such a simple design. The lace fabric is so beautiful and flattering. I actually think if the bride wanted it, it could be cut short and dyed black, the perfect LBD.
Oh this video was lovely and got me sooooo inspired to make some new occasional wear. I am just beginning, but this made me want to take a leap of faith in myself. I was already on the fence about which vogue pattern to buy and I immediately purchased the Vogue top and skirt pattern that you said has a bit of a couture feeling to it. I'm going for it. Thank you!
Decisions, decisons! Lovely pattern picks. If you kept a 50s nipped in waist on your top, would you feel the need for a petticoat? These videos are terific, thanks.
Thanks Vera! yes I think I will need a petticoat to help the silhouette - my waist is quite big and it has never looked nipped in so I always have to create a bit of an illusion!
The jumpsuit is gorgeous and fits you like a glove, a definite remake if I might say so. Love this theme, looking forward to seeing your final makes.
Thanks Sandra, yes I'm definitely planning on remaking the jumpsuit!

Thank you, yes I think I will probably go for a big floral!
Thank you for all your hard work in drawing this all together. Just great. Sharon

I would love to see your approach to a color block occasion dress. Great pattern suggestions.

Hi Jennett, that sounds like a lovely dress and a great idea to convert it to a LBD too!

I hope you don’t completely abandon pattern reviews- it helps me know what is out there. Exhibits would be nice.
Thanks Charlotte, I won't be completely abandoning pattern reviews but do want to include more on the channel, there will be exhibitions too!
