Wow, thank you for playing! I'm one of the developers! I hope you enjoyed the game! I was made last year for a Halloween game jam by me and two other guys. The game is an obvious reference to the Weeping Angels from Doctor Who, hope everyone will enjoy playing it. I read some comments talking about the statue making no sounds: this gameplay is on normal difficulty, if you play on a easier mode the statue will make sounds when aproaching you.

Yes, that was a good game. I've played this kind of game before, and the gameplay can be maddening. I enjoyed the little twists, like being able to lock the statue in the building for at least a little while, and I loved that it wasn't going to get trapped like that a second time - nerve-wracking! The other excellently designed tension-builder is that the statue wasn't always predictably right there. So thank you for the game; I'm looking forward to more.

Ever since Doctor Who came out with "Blink", I have never looked at a statue the same way again. Especially, a graveyard during the day time. Nice to know that there is only one in this game.

It is such an amazingly simple, yet terrifying conecpt.
I found you because I was feeling nostalgic and wanted to see a playthrough of Hotel Dusk and Last Window (so, not by the algorithm). I subscribed immediately after watching the first video. The way you present games should be the TH-cam standard: face cam off during gameplay, no cheesy overreacting, solid, relevant commentary, and a charming personality. I'm relatively new to your channel, but I know you've been at this for a while. I think you're doing an awesome job and you deserve more subscribers. Thank you!

Its videos like these that make it all worth it when Chris asks "Can I leave" and he can. The last game I remember him being able to leave was when we were trapped in the architect's home and she made us ring a bell over and over.

I'm almost sure that the spooky music only plays when the statue is close by. At least it started playing again right before you neck got snapped 20:50
I think what happens is it “resets” it’s position like when he trapped it in the building he was fine for a while then the music played and he died bc it got out
@@Gorrick18 oh yeah, when he drops the disk the statue resets 100%. It probably goes back to its old position or something like that.
The second kill from the statue was raw😮💨

It's similar to a doctor who theme as well. I honestly think more games should be based on this theme of something sneaking up on them the moment they turn around or look away.
Weeping Angels are fuqing terrifying. But they didn't kill you. They displaced you forward or backwards in time feeding off the temporal energy that action produces.
@@smithsmith1956 Yes! Which is honestly why they terrified me more than any of the other "villains" in Dr. Who... The thought of unknowingly encountering a being that will throw me in another time to somehow live out a completely new life in another time and place without anything to help. Very nicely written character.

Welcome back, Chris! About the game, I'm pretty sure the angel is actually the caretaker getting back at you for stealing flowers and desecrating graves.

Honestly the fact the idea of SCP 173 is used and recycled doesn’t bother me a bit. I just wish the dev would have included ambient sound, more creepy music, and sound cues to the statue moving, to clue you in on how close it was.
I think sound is one of the most important things in games. Especially short indie horror games. If there were more creative audio, this would have been much more enjoyable

That part was so funny where you decided to shut the devil statue inside hoping that it wouldnt get out. As for the bugs otherwise you could have been able to lock it inside.

While you were away, I found a game I'd like to recommend: Happy Game. Not a typical horror game, but its so refreshing playing something different.
I kind of hope he doesnt play happy game, it's long and tedious and the story doesn't particularly make much sense unless you look at all the tiny details, it's well made, but it's meh to play let alone watch
@@lemonpaperplanes considering Neverending Nightmares is similar (but more tedious and story is even more vague) , and Chris liked that game, i feel he may enjoy happy game as well.

Pretty idiotic way... You go to the graveyard to visit a relative so at least you are coming prepared. Buying some flowers or stones, some light and gardening tools if you weren't there for some time. Stealing from another grave it's a most dumb solution.
But still that was a fun and tense game!
