I just want Chris and everyone in the CJGames comments to have a great night, and a great weekend! You are loved, you are valuable, you are worth a nice relaxing time. Please send good vibes.
This game successfully captures the dreary prison-like environment of a micro-management corporation. I know the feeling, because I used to work in such an environment and it can get really toxic. In Josiah's case, he's finally snapped and went beyond the mere pranks. This reminds me of Michael Douglas in "Falling Down" and in a way, "Office Space" (minus the massacre).
This game has potential, like it very much! Since this is a demo, I hope to see the full version of the game! It's very possible that the title of the game "Overtime" has time travel elements to it. The protagonist having visions and strange dreams (which could be real) and he seems to be feeling out of time. Noticed the time on the clock was originally 11:45am when the demo started and when he went to Logistics, the time is almost 12pm. Then when he is called up to HR and run into a homicidal Josiah, the time on the clock in the bloody pantry room states it's almost 7pm. So I'm thinking the goal of the full game is to investigate what led to the massacre and try to prevent it from happening, through time loops or premonitions. Also, it seems that the protagonist is trapped in a time loop, as the woman on the stairs describes a bad feeling that day (deja vu of what happened?) and the protagonist also gets a strange feeling, thinking he has done things like this before or visioned himself doing it before. The ending with Josiah leaving the protagonist's cubicle with a bloody handprint may hint that Josiah himself is also aware of the time loops, and this Josiah is the original Josiah that started out and remain unaffected by the loops, which explains why he still has blood on him.
I really enjoyed this one. Kind of tongue in cheek...until it wasn't. One jump scare that got me good. The foreshadowing at the end. The convenient flashlight. 😂 The motionless faces that somehow conveyed emotion. And, who doesn't find empty/nearly empty office buildings inherently creepy?
I like the concept, esp as someone who's worked in a similar soul sucking environment. I feel it's pretty common to wonder who'd be the one to lose their shit but I didn't expect the office prankster to be the crazy one! Hope you'll play the full version when it comes out.
I wish more games had witty writing like this one! I find that, apart from the healthy giggle, it makes a great contrast with the horror element, and thus amplifying the latter!
I feel this. I work a lot of overtime and it wears you down to the core. Though I'm not in an office environment of course. I'm in manufacturing, it's demanding, infuriating, and the perfect breeding grounds for sanity to break as the product of your last reserved nerve. I know the stress, this game did a good job portraying it. I love the simplicity and yet it says so much. Nicely done! Thanks for the upload chris!!!😊
Reminds me a bit about Kafka's stories - the subtle yet ever growing wrongness around protagonist. If it's really only a demo, would be really interesting to see the full game.
You pointed exactly my thoughts, Vadim. Everything feels stupidly normal taken as a whole, yet there's always a small element of strangeness that gives the whole scene an eerie vibe, exactly like it happens in Kafka's Castle or Trial.
I really like this. I like the style and love how it starts off. Not everything is as it seems at the office. Looking forward to the full game. I would like to see you play it.😊👍
That was cool. Should be a good one when it gets expanded into a full game. Office buildings are great settings for horror. Pretty much everyone that's ever worked in one knows that. Heh. heh.
Excellent game. Virtually perfect. The scares and humor were great, doubly so for the creepiness of it all, ESPECIALLY the cliffhanger ending. My only concern is this is a demo, not sure how much more they can squeeze out of this. I feel this is legitimately good enough to be a full game, short but well executed. I just hope this doesn't end up like One Late Night.
It starts crappy , but the physiological aspect and the nice jump horrors really fill the void ... like you where watching a good Japan horror movie ...
I think the full game of the plot will be how josiah has time manipulation powers/Abilities in order for the player to die in numerous death loops from the grasp of josiah's hands, The player had experienced what has happening in those time loops and i get the feeling that josiah does have a knowing about this so maybe it will show how the player is going to have solve this and escape from josiah (But this is only a theory, A game theory)
@@CJUGames Well I just noticed the title of the game and thought it might have been the same one, there are games out that are so very similar to each other or have same title name.
Gary used to be a proctologist until the incident, his new job is very familiar to him and is the cause of many legal nightmares to the highly medicated buzzkill employees of HR (or just HR) 😎😎
I love overtime. Everyone's gone, the place is quiet and I can hear myself think. ...and what I think is, "what was that noise?"

That's so nice of you, Robin. You too!
@@t0astyloaf This Game is what Phantasmagoria 2 A Puzzle of Flesh wishes it was like or Ring Terror’s Rhealm
"10 or so days for a game jam" I seriously need to ask people how do they even manage that.

i love this theory!!
YES YES YES
I am equal parts fascinated, beguiled, and infuriated by the simple implementation of 'Q for Quit' and 'C for Continue' in the main menu.

“What a delightful little life for me!” XD
I say that every morning shelving books in the library except I really mean it!!! :P
Oh this definitely needs a full release, cause that was cool.
I'm just thinking the Boss just happens to be that Armless/Legless guy from Employee Of The Month.
Watching this again! One of my favorites. The 'ooh .. OOH' response you had at the end with that look from Josiah was perfect, LOL. I love this game.

That was actually well done for a short game! It kept me anxious about what is about to happen at every turn.
Good job, man!
That moment before you had to go to HR...yeah, that part got me LOL
As always, thank you Chris for uploading videos anytime you can. That means a lot, my dear.
I love this style of game. The 3D models with the disconcerting 2D faces, the simple graphics. They're always so scary.
I'm very glad to see you enjoyed it as well, great video as always!
Games that manage to successfully mix humor and horror are gems. Not many manage to do that

Very entertaining. Thank you for playing, CJU!
Ooh, this was great! Simple design, but the story is intriguing! Would love to see more - thanks for playing it!
"Answering phone calls, dealing with co-workers, attending meetings" The nightmare.......
Nothing makes me whince more than overtime...
that was pretty good not gonna lie that jumpscare got me too.
Wow, this was so good. Can't believe it's a game jam
Fun...and the little bloody hand sting at the end..your voice over reads say it all...
Really cool game. Definitely made by someone who has been working in an office for some period of his life.
Overtime, not having time for lunch, meeting in 15 minutes...my anxiety is sky sigh just a few minutes in 😂
Entertaining enough! Thanks CJU for playing this

How are you meant to be productive with all this murder going on? It's seriously unprofessional. Definitely an issue to bring up with HR :P
It said “demo complete” at the end. I hope you play the full thing if/when it comes out!
Interesting plot! The structure reminds me of some episodes from Tales of a Crypt.
I like these kinds of games. Thanks
Josiah - such a prankster har har
Great to see an upload from you as always!
this feels more like a linear storytelling experience (do the choices really matter?)
and your commentary makes it better
0:09 indeed it's spooky
Nice, short, sweet and unsettling.
I jumped when you turned around
Great playthrough!
Adding my vote for you to play full game!
it was awesome!.I loved it! I hope you will play full version!
I enjoyed this game so much! Great video as well. 😄
i just realized the reason he couldnt run away was because he ate that dog food at the start
Cool man and I liked
He was a person and Josiah just make me jump.. damn it..
Eyyy. I just finished one of yours and now another! 🥳
Wow 😦 I’m diggin it.
I think there was an item under one of the cubicles, i wonder what it was
The real horror is working in such places for years and years... And sometimes dreaming of HR dept to be slaughtered.
100K Subscribers Soon ♥️ Love From India ♥️♥️
thanks for the video!!!
Love the vibe of this game, and the eerily sparse graphics fit very well to the genre and context. Was _not_ expecting that scare omg...
Well now that makes me wonder about the coworker, and what happens next??
Pretty good for 10 day's work 👏
I think it was a PSP he was playing :)
The best thing about this - bloody handprint towards the end =). Creepy Chris, C r e e p y.
Really looking forward to your playthrough of "Martha is Dead"!
bro u should play fatal frame and siren blood curse
bro i almost pissed myself
Since it's a demo, I'm curious what's the full story of the game is about.

He's bloody Guilty ...
Really fun little game, I liked it. Fucking Josiah made me jump!
I miss the beard. Bring back the fuzzy beard.
Haha, it's growing again.
why the hell these 2 triangles and 3 cubes are dropping frames ?????
"EXP: War Trauma" will be out soon. You'll like for sure.
actually a good game
Wait isn't there like another gameplay you did, called over time?
There is! A few years ago now, but you're right.
@@CJUGames Well I just noticed the title of the game and thought it might have been the same one, there are games out that are so very similar to each other or have same title name.

Another perfect at work game
Hello

Your accent is very posh

I reckon that was a Vita he was playing.
Poor Vita.
Awesome playthrough!
