These sleeves can't be beaten. Really deserves more recognition for the quality and competitive prices. Especially for people who live in Canada, absolutely no competition.
Absolutely. They're incredible. And now he's making gatefold sleeves and has reintroduced his brilliant crystal clear inners! Mike is posessed by genius, without a doubt. AND HE HAS UK AND US DISTRIBUTORS NOW! Started using them around the time this video came out. Never went back.
For years I have Produced Electronic music. I took a break from shows for about 10 years. Now that I have got back into turning my attention to more music other than my own. Iv turned to Vinyl collecting. I was looking at these Incredible Quality Vinyl covers. For you to have him go into detail and the background towards his process into making them. It makes me even more thankful to know I'm supporting his work for providing protection on vinyl.
Watched this video when it was first posted. Have been ordering outer and inner sleeves from Mike since as I need them. Great product and Mike's a super guy when I called him. I agree with the comments that the artwork and the recording go together and I want to protect both. Mike has the solution. Frank, thanks for having him over.
Me: There's no evidence that I'm a Vinyl Record Junkie Wife: You just watched a thirty minute video on fancy bags for PVC discs and got excited Me: That's just a coincidence
I love these sleeves so much. Nothing else will do now. I love the 2 mil for gatefolds and 4 ml for everything else. I have been saving my money to place a big order. You guys are great and I loved seeing all the different choices of sleeves. Great video!
These outer sleeves are the absolute best on the market! Stumbled across Vinyl Storage Solutions online and decided to try our the 4 mil single pocket 12' with tuckable flap and I can attest first hand how truly beautiful they are! These crystal clear sleeves actually enhance the presentation of the record jacket artwork adding a visual dimension that was otherwise completely distorted with the old regular 'cloudy' sleeves I had been using. Great prices, made locally from a proud member of our VC, what more can you ask for?! Higly recommended!!!
I LOVE his products. I ordered 100 of the tuck outer covers a week ago. I just placed another order for 100 more today. Fast delivery to Michigan. I only wish an assistant came with the sleeves to put the albums in them.😂😂.
I love Mike's sleeves personally. I bought a few packs of the 4 mil but the 2 mil I actually like a little better because the flap is more forgiving. I'm hoping he brings out a dedicated dual pocket gate fold someday.
I ordered 100 inner sleeves and Mike threw in a sample outer sleeve. So I tried it and ...Damn! I didn’t think I needed outers but now that I have one and it looks and feels premium I will have to sleeve all my records 😁
Im addicted to Mike's 4 mil dual pocket sleeves! Nothing like them thus is why I have made at least 3 big orders from Vinyl Storage Solutions! Makes my collection look and keep looking incredible!
Mike is a great guy and knows I love his sleeves 100%. Every episode of the show now with his sleeves I put a link in my description to his website. My entire collection has been resleeved with all of his sleeves. The big test is coming soon. I'm moving and they will be in a U-Haul truck for 4 days. I'm confident they will be ok. Thanks Frank for having Mike on. I learned more about the sleeves and that's great.
Thank you for this informative vid. I just purchased 50 sheets of premium plus master sleeves (3mil) and 50 sheets dual pocket resealable (4mil) outer sleeves. Very nice.
Currently using sleeves from Groove Vinyl and they work for me. I have a bunch on unused ones right now, but once I need more I might check out this product.
Another awesome show and great that you brought on a guest to talk about their vinyl related product. I love the support that the vinyl community has for each other. Cheers
Great video Frank and Mike. I don't currently use outer sleeves because I don't care for how they look (too big, don't slide in/out of shelving as well, crinkle up, etc). Mike's sleeves make me want to actually consider using them again. I may have to pick up a pack of dual pockets at some point in the near future, and I will have to try the inner sleeves for sure. Thanks again for the interview.
Excellent video Frank and Mike! After watching Mike explain the difference between cast and pressed polypropylene, I placed an order for the 4 mil resealable outer sleeve. It looked like the perfect application for gatefold albums and I was right! The sleeves fit perfectly and the Mofi inner sleeves slip in and out very easily. Thank you Mike for such an innovative and quality product.
As a subscriber of this channel, I have learnt about Vinyl Storage Solutions from watching your earlier videos. I have just received my third order since the last few months. What I can say is I love Mike's product, not so much on the shipping at first because the orders took forever to get to me in Houston, Texas. I have to say that the shipping for my last order came in much faster than before, please keep that up!
If you converse with Mike in the future ask if he has any plans to come out with sleeves for some of the more common size box sets that are out. Thanks for another helpful video!
Nice video, interesting products, the first time you show this sleeves I was not convinced they were for me, but the more I see them the more I like them, but it will be a large investment to replace all my current sleeves. Cheers!
Great job informing the vinyl community of this home grown business! Once I reorganize my records into my man cave (it's taking me longer than I had hoped as I work nights) I plan to purchase these to use on my most favourite records to try them out.
Great vid!.. but the whole truth of that matter for everyone that sees this is that... you truly don't get the quality of how awesome these sleeves are until you actually feel it in your hand. They are fantastic. On my future wish list for sure. It is my hope's that these sleeves will stand the test of time and be available for a long time to come.
Just came across this vid and the other one with Mike. Placed as order on his website …. Looking forward to getting my hands on these. An update vid with em would be cool… to see how his sleeve business is going and perhaps he can show any new products
Great episode, Frank and Mike. Looks like a great product. I will have to buy some. I'm looking forward to the inner sleeves. I use the MoFi inner sleeves and don't use outer sleeves since most of my finds are from thrift stores and are already pretty worn. I may get some of those outer sleeves for things I find that are still in superb condition.
I just want to say thank you for introducing me to Vinyl Storage Solutions! I absolutely love the design and quality. I can never go back to using anything else.
Frank - love you shows - entertaining and informational. From the perspective that people watch TH-cam becausse, they are visual learners vs traditional reading learners, I am 7 minutes in and I would have appreciated name brand competitive examples of plastic sleeve descriptions. I think I know what he is talking about but I'm 100% sure I know what he is talking about. You may eventually show competitive sleeves in the vid but I needed to express the point in time where I got lost.
Just a tip 4u & anyone who doesn't know, If u put them in side to side u won't have the seam on the spine it'll b on the top/bottom which looks alot better & the vinyl comes out the side instead of the top. I love these sleeves SO SO much but I'd LOVE 4 him 2 start ordering more @ a time so I don't have 2 pre order them months in advance... I live check 2 check & I knew I was running low so I had 2 buy more but I came across a $150 vinyl I had 2 buy cuz I NEVER see it 4 sale & spent $180 on Record Store Day (which now r sleeveless) so I couldn't buy sleeves 4a month which is when I ran out & now resealable 4 mil duals r still available but the tuckable r backordered 2 months..& I kinda need those 4 the gatefolds that have 1 disc cuz there r no 4 mil multi purpose so I use 1 dual 4 mil w/tape & 1 tuckable 4 mil 2 make a gatefold & store my inserts... I kno it's my fault but it'd b amazing if it was easier & quicker 2 buy em like other sleeves like order em get em 2 weeks later....even a month later... My cat likes 2 scratch my vinyls when she wants attention & no sleeves stresses me out... BTW the 4 mil sleeves are so nice my cats claws slide off when she attempts to scratch em...the 2 mil I'm not a fan..u can't open em again cuz they rip u just have to cut em off. & They slide nicely when putting em away unlike cheap 1s that stick to eachother & push others back, etc. JUST MAKE SURE U ORDER EM 3 MONTHS PRIOR 2 NEEDING EM. absurd but hoping someday it won't be that way...when u buy singles he also sends me a few free 1s everytime BTW & always answers my emails.
Interesting video. One thing that was not mentioned was that if the sleeves fit snug, does it make more room for storage. I myself have a small number of outer sleeves, but have not conscientiously purchased them as I just store without with the original inner sleeve always placed back with the open end upwards in the record jacket. Sure the jackets get some wear on the bottom, but I originally purchased records from the late 70s up to early 90s to play and not to just collect. I have about only 1/2 doz reissues from within the last two years still stored in the record store carrier bags though. Interesting about recycling as in the late 70s/early 80s a lot of vinyl was made from recycled vinyl and therefore the quality was poor. One other thing was that US and Canadian issues such as Kiss, Thin Lizzy, Judas priest vinyl were thinner than the UK equivalents (ie wobble boards). A topic for future discussion maybe.
First saw these dual flap 4 mil on here and have bought in about 4 orders or so. What’s missing now = vinyl boxed set sleeves. They may make some but cheaply with no flaps... I want a seal and/or flap...would love sleeves for different sizes... the 1 1/2” boxes to the multi-LP collection boxes..: fingers crossed
I think the flap on the 7" is simple and genius. I really want to upgrade my 7"'s I am so far behind in my inners and outers... With the limited budget that Value Vinyl has ($20 every 2 weeks and $2 max per record)... I am easily falling behind. If I had the budget... and choice... Vinyl Storage Solutions is the best choice... bar none... I have seen so many videos from different members of the VC that I have no doubt they are the cream of the crop.
Some of my records are sleeved, most aren't! I want them ALL to be, but I've been too lazy and cheap to do it! Time to get on it I guess! Side bar: I could tell that "kiss, unplugged" was an original because it has the original "hype sticker" and not the "reissue hype sticker"!
Wonderful presentation. Thank you. 1 item I never see in a quality sleeve is those for box sets. I have many 3 record boxes, but I also have a few 4, 6 and some bigger box sets that I can’t protect. Any chance of something for those in the future ?Great video
I own a record store, I wouldn't mind giving these a shot for my personal collection. The records in my store get a otter sleeve and the price goes on that so I have to keep those cheap to keep record prices down.
With the top where the record is stored being exposed, wouldn't that introduce dust? I'm definitely going to try the single pocket resealable, when he restocks. Nice to see a home grown business doing well. Excellent products.
Some where I saw him demonstrate a CPP sleeve designed to store gatefold record sleeves. These sleeves were designed to store Gatefold records so you could still open and admire the inside of a gatefold record. What are these called on the Vinyl Storage Solutions website?
I couldn't find the rice paper inner sleeves with the dust flap on his website? Theres only two options : 2 mil or 3 mil both are open tops? Am I missing something? How to order those...
Thoroughly clean an LP....and I mean major clean....ensure no-dust-scenerio.... seal the LP in plastic liner; suck all the air out.. Put the sealed LP in a hermetically-sealed jacket, suck all the air out. Place the assembly in another HS box and ditto. Now build a concrete box around the whole and paint the whole with bituminous tar....wait until dry.....paint again. Take the subsequent hardened lump to the Mindanao Trench off the Philippines and drop it in the 36,000 foot Galathea Depth. Ten years later, recover it; break it open; unseal the LP.......it will have dust on it. It's The Law of Long Playing Records.
I missed half the video because I cant take my eyes off the Steve Vai record.. I need to pick that one up on vinyl.. Have 4 different versions on dvd..
Thank you Max. They are from the Channel 33 RPM merch store. I change up the designs regularly. The channel and the store are on a short summer hiatus, and will return in late August or early September (taking a summer breather). Here is the link: channel33rpm.bigcartel.com/ Cheers! Frank
Nice to see a video of something important and dear to my heart. I understand the width, 2 millimetre, 4 mm etc but what is the strength of the protective sleeve? As this is determined by microns, example 30-50 microns, no strength rip easily so rubbish. 75 microns or more is stronger but anything over 100 I’ve found they don’t have the same clarity. Also no one seems to talk about Blake sleeves anymore, have they fallen out of fashion? Final point, over 40 years storing my records, as a collector of very rare classical records from the 1950’s to the 1970’s, I found out the hard way. The best way is to store the vinyl record as it was supposed to be stored and as bought in the shop. This myth of taking the record out of the Record Cover and storing it alongside the cover in a protective clear sleeve will not protect the record and especially the original cover. It is more likely to damage the record and the original cover because the spine of the cover is not supported so flattens over time and the soft vinyl record has no cardboard sleeve on one side to buffer it from knocks and dings, other than the thin plastic ‘protective’ cover. I hope this doesn’t sound like I’m ranting, but just giving you sound advice from many years in collecting many important and historical records. Keep up the interest.
A few months ago I purchased about 50 of these sleeves, the type that has 2 separate pockets, one for the outer sleeve and the other to hold the Lp. I don't use them as I find that the seal-able flap is put on the wrong end... it is on the opposite end as the opening for the flap on the other side... this puts the flap on the bottom when storing the record, which is opposite what I feel it should be. Also, 2mil (as stated on packaging) is too thin... I prefer the 5 mil polypropylene sleeves from Sleeve city, but if this company would make a thicker sleeve such as 4 or 5 mil, I would try it.
Hi. I'm not sure what you mean by "this puts the flap on the bottom when storing the record, which is opposite what I feel it should be"? That being said, if you can contact me with your order number, I'll happily either refund your purchase or send you my 4 mil sleeves in exchange. Regards. Mike
These sleeves can't be beaten. Really deserves more recognition for the quality and competitive prices. Especially for people who live in Canada, absolutely no competition.

New LP Collector here… Definitely ordering…it sounds like an excellent way to start protecting my records. Thank you both♥️

Awesome product. I will order. Thanks both for supporting our record community.
I just won a contest in the VC and got a prize from Mike. Nice sleeves. I look forward to showcasing them in a future video.
And I won a contest last month with awesome prize! Vinyl Storage Solutions and Mike are the best!
Me: There's no evidence that I'm a Vinyl Record Junkie

Thanks for sticking it out!

Purchased 125 of outer and inner sleeves based on this video, and I am extremely happy. These are great!

Got a small order of each size (4 mil tuckabke) a few weeks back and I love ‘em. Nice to see the man behind the sleeve! Really enjoyed it, thanks!
Another awesome show and great that you brought on a guest to talk about their vinyl related product. I love the support that the vinyl community has for each other. Cheers
Thanks man! It was fun to have a guest.
I own the resealable single pocket outer sleeves and also just received my rice paper inner sleeves and they are awesome!
Just purchased the dual-pocket outer sleeves , what a great product! He ships very quickly too , great service!
I'm a fan! I'm hoping to have Mike on as a guest again soon.

@@Channel33RPM Great!
Very cool of you to support a fellow vinyl head!

Thanks Frank and Mike for the great info about inner and outer sleeves.
Came across your products from another channel and just purchased inner and outer sleeves. Can’t wait to use them.
Mike is a great guy and has come up with a fantastic product. The dual pocket with flap is the only way to go.
As a subscriber of this channel, I have learnt about Vinyl Storage Solutions from watching your earlier videos. I have just received my third order since the last few months. Looks like a great product. I have used traditional inner and outer sleeves previously, but Mike's sleeves look really nice!!
Great episode. Have heard of Vinyl Storage here in Vancouver. Will be checking more into him.
Nice video, interesting products, the first time you show this sleeves I was not convinced they were for me, but the more I see them the more I like them, but it will be a large investment to replace all my current sleeves. Cheers!
Thanks for the informative video. I just placed my first order with these guys and I'm excited to get my hands on the product.

Cheers dude
Frank
Very informative video, Frank. Well worth the time invested in watching it. Keep up your good work!
Just checked site.
Maybe after all this handling time will be better but 12 weeks is a bit long to wait for sleeves lol.
They look great though!!
You have Slave to the Grind...holy shit! Nice work Frank! Play Mudkicker loud for me.one of these days, I'll find one😁
These sleeves are great, I got outer dual pocket 4 mill, tuck, I love them
Just ordered some 4 mil. Can't wait to try them out.
Just came across this vid and the other one with Mike. Placed as order on his website …. Looking forward to getting my hands on these. An update vid with em would be cool… to see how his sleeve business is going and perhaps he can show any new products
Nice stuff. I'm planning to grab some of these in the very near future.
Back to school and get our learn on....knowledge is powerful...👍
Best sleeves ever ! I would love to see some for Mofi OMR and Boxsets
An excellent presentation on Mike's Vinyl Storage Solutions products. I live in New Zealand and will be ordering some of these in the near future.
Really love the Vinyl Storage Solutions products. I'm a buyer for life!
Thanks for the video - just placed my first order!
Love these! All of my records are sleeved with these. I need to order some 7/10 inch ones as well.
Thanks for bringing these sleeves to my attention. I hope the business grows and grows, all the best. 😀👍🎶🎵
I ordered some of these, they are great! Plan on ordering more!
really informative and got me totally sold on these sleeves! Mike, watch out for an order coming your way Ha!
These are the only sleeves I will use now. Those 7" sleeves I will order. Nice inner sleeves coming.
Looks like some great products , thank you for bringing it to our attention. I'm going to check these out!
yes i purchased Mikes sleeves and they are great
Nice record sleeves! And great job from Mike to work as a dog for his company. Was a very interesting video!
Thanks a lot. Now I have to purchase 1,000 of these.
Nice one just waiting for my first shipment down here in Australia looking forward to their arrival.
What was shipping like? Located Australia also!

I just want to say thank you for introducing me to Vinyl Storage Solutions! I absolutely love the design and quality. I can never go back to using anything else.
Currently use sleeves (inside and outer) from sleeve City. I believe the ones I get are Mylar. Though I do like some of these designs.
Great job doing this! I have them on the xmas list.
Very intressting, I am looking to update my outer sleves so this was a perfect video Frank. :)

Shame the shipping to the UK is so crazy expensive, I'd really love to buy some of these sleeves, they seem spot on.

Wow didn't now how much science went on making record sleeves.

Nice to see your products are available in the uk loving the vids yours Ian Ps 1st to comment from the uk 🇬🇧🇬🇧n
With the top where the record is stored being exposed, wouldn't that introduce dust? I'm definitely going to try the single pocket resealable, when he restocks. Nice to see a home grown business doing well. Excellent products.
Turn the inner sleeve 90 degrees so the open top isn't at the open top of the 2nd pocket - simple no?
Great video.
Let us hope Mike doesn't sell his shop to the conglomerate megalodons!
Some where I saw him demonstrate a CPP sleeve designed to store gatefold record sleeves. These sleeves were designed to store Gatefold records so you could still open and admire the inside of a gatefold record. What are these called on the Vinyl Storage Solutions website?
Is there a dual sleeve that seals the album cover with the sticking flap but has the non sticking flap for the vinyl pocket?
That akward moment when your dad walks in on you singing the channel 33 rpm intro song at the top of your lungs!
Haha love it!
The best sleeves on the market are VSS's 4mil double pocket sleeves, whether resealable (my preference) or not.
I couldn't find the rice paper inner sleeves with the dust flap on his website? Theres only two options : 2 mil or 3 mil both are open tops? Am I missing something? How to order those...

Buying for sure! So tired of those milky white cheap sleeves….
Super interesting.
I missed half the video because I cant take my eyes off the Steve Vai record.. I need to pick that one up on vinyl.. Have 4 different versions on dvd..
nice vid. but why o why no direct link for purchase? - inner sleeve with flap went to VSS website, no order path obvious there.
Great video! Nice shirts! Where can I find them?
Thank you Max. They are from the Channel 33 RPM merch store. I change up the designs regularly. The channel and the store are on a short summer hiatus, and will return in late August or early September (taking a summer breather).
Here is the link: channel33rpm.bigcartel.com/
Cheers!

Regards. Mike
I have ADC anti-static sleeves from so long ago they don't have upc markings.
What about custom protective sleeves for box sets?
