LOL thank you so much! I am working on a few new ones and then hopefully the next trip we will do a "week in the life" to show folks what a typical 8 day trip looks like. Thank you for taking the time to comment
Excellent video, your voice was a bit low compared to the music, but it's still ok. Also your first "A day in the life ..." video was great, keep them coming. I subscribed! 👍 Greetings from Germany.
Hi Jerry, thanks for a great video! You mentioned transferring some of the environmental controls back to the APU after landing. At what point during the flight do you turn the APU back on?
I enjoy your videos Jerry; they are very well done. Here's a question from a low time pilot and an air traffic controller of 26 years. As approach controllers sequence aircraft to an airport, we have a general idea of what each type of aircraft is capable of doing, and how they generally operate into a specific airport. We also know that every company has slightly different procedures, and every pilot flies his or her aircraft slightly different. So, I'd like to ask you (a corporate pilot) a question, as this situation is more noticeable between biz-jets, than it is with airlines and G.A. aircraft. Now be honest... Is there some sort of a new game you corporate pilots play against each other, or attempt to get revenge on one-another by screwing around with the jet behind you on final ? I know these games aren't typically played at major airports, but now working at a smaller venue, I see some flying behaviors that are quite peculiar. For example, a GV on a 15 mile final slows to 150 kts ground speed when they can hear on the frequency that there is another GV inbound to the same runway. The second aircraft is cooking along at 260kts ground speed. I know ATC can assign speeds,.. but generally at smaller airports, we like to let pilots fly their aircraft how they prefer, and don't assign speeds unless necessary. But I mean,.. I've had a Premier jet eat up Citation 750 on final. I've had C550's overtake Falcons, and Beech Bonanzas overtake C550's. I could go on forever with examples,.. but I guess my question is,.. are these pilots trying to mess with each other, mess with ATC,... or is there THAT much difference in how pilots fly? Because I feel more in control with a B737 and a C337, than I do with any 2 business jets. Help me out here ! I'm getting very frustrated with the extreme differences in aircraft performance,... between the same aircraft.
This was in my recommended and thats good, insta subbed :D Really like your videos Jerry. especially Day in the life of pilot. Want's to know, how does it work if you are a "private jet" pilot for a wealthy/famous person. Eg; if owner wants to go to bora bora for 2 week vacation. Do you fly there, drop them off and fly back and then go pick them up after 2w, or does jet stay there and you fly as passenger commercial back etc? or is it usually only one way and then change of pilots?
Hey, thanks for the posting. . . it really depends on logistics. I have stayed with the plane for a week in extremely exotic locations. We have "house sat a mansion" multiple times while owners have been on their mega yacht. We often get to go to the most amazing places on the planet and get paid. And get to stay for extended times. Sometimes, it's up to the crew - we can stay or airline home. So sometimes, we've been on the road for a while, and you just want to be home. It really varies. Hope this helps answer your question?
LOL working on it! We have been so busy lately it's been tough to get anything edited together. There should be one by the end of next week. Thank you for asking! Seriously

I got my ATP when I went to the airlines. To be a Captain in 135 charter you need to have an ATP. And just to be clear, no need to go to AllATP (the flight school) to get the ATP. The ATP is all about having the "time requirement" to obtain it, then taking the written ATP test - then doing the ATP checkride - which is the same thing as a type rating checkride. Most 135's will (well before Covid they would) hire you at around 500 hours or so as a right seater (co-pilot). Then you can build your time that way - or can instruct and build time that way as well. Good luck - it will take sometime to build it up, but can be done.
If you look forward and notice your pilots laughing hysterically, waving hand signs and taking selfies, don't worry just sit back and enjoy the flight.
