  • Follow Jerry as he and the crew work a typical 10-day charter trip. Dealing with weather, airplane issues, not really knowing what day it is, and everything in between.
Many people wonder what it is like to stay on the road and jet-set the 1% around the country. Well, now get an unbiased and raw look at just what happens on a charter trip.
Pack your bags and join in on this extended documentary of a week in the life of a charter pilot. The fun follows up to "day in the life of a corporate pilot".

@@jerrywhite2390 Honestly I'm having a hard time finding anything that needs to be improved, perhaps the length of the video. I had a pleasure watching 1h of you flying across the US but perhaps other folks don't have the time. But in all honesty the video was interesting for the whole length so I don't see where you could cut some parts out, perhaps making two parts out of one long video is better for some, because then they'll stick around the video longer as it's not a full hour long or so. Content wise I don't really think that there's a ton to improve because as you mentioned in the end, your job consists of changes and irregularities which makes each video unique, you could however do some smaller videos in which you go over certain aspects of your job, for example do a full tour of the jet and take some time explaining how it works etc., I think that'd be interested for some folks that don't know how private jets (or planes in general) work or maybe (just maybe) try to get in contact with people such as Swayne Martin and maybe do comparisons of your work, the jets (I mean both Embraer) or something. This could really gain you a lot of traction as people are actually really interested in aviation, they just don't know much about it so making simple/10-15min videos sometimes may be received really well. Hope I could help a small bit, have a fantastic day and I'll be waiting for the next video for sure 😉

Jerry, much respect to you. I used to do a fair amount of travelling on my job. I retired back in January and I gotta tell ya I don't miss being on the road at all. Staying in hotels all the time. For me it got old after over 20 of years of being on the grind. Being a pilot like yourself with all the extra responsibility and the stress of the job I know how taxing it is on the mind and the body. So hey man, do your best to take care of yourself, relax every chance you get and squeeze some fun in when you can. Take care Jerry. I know it's a lot of work but please try to do another one of these videos. I know I'd appreciate it. Still a student pilot training in Cessna 172 but I did make an impatient Delta hold short to cross RWY from when I was on short final all the way to when I executed my stop and go. Seemingly, he didn’t know what he was waiting for at night with no other planes in sight. He radioed in asking the tower for clearance twice before he told him about me being on short final. Sitting in my little 172, I sure got a bit of a superiority complex then.

Wow this job is really similar to what i do as an owner operator. Very true that change is the only constant. Same thing in transportation: Schedules change, vehicles mess up at the worst time, balancing the hours of service, checking the truck for compliance, dealing with traffic, being gone from home, all nighters, etc.. But at the end of the day its all good. Like you said, very lucky to have a job in these times likewise. Good content on the vids and definitely will be on the look out for more. Its interesting to see how it is for the fellows up high from me. Also from Texas as well that is cool! Hi Michael Scott, just finished watching this an hour long video which I’ve never thought myself would be able to finish it. I’m half an aviation nerd and this video is such an attraction to me that while it possesses a good amount of professional knowledge which you’ve done a fine job of explaining, your humour and the daily part of it balances the video out so it doesn’t become an on field Crash Course of avionics. Such a great video. Bravo to you and your crew and definitely looking forward to your future life of a pilot videos.

I noticed you say “The whole nine yards” occasionally. Here’s the origin.
    The whole nine yards:
The bullets for the machine guns used in American combat planes of WW2 and since were in chains twenty-seven feet in length. Thus if a pilot was able to fire all his bullets off at one target he was said to have given his adversary 'the full nine yards'.

Awesome job Jerry on this video! I look forward to more in the future when you have time to make them. I know it is a lot of work making videos like this. First you have your “day job” work of flying and all the duties involved there. Add in the extra work of filming and I’m sure it can get crazy in a hurry. • @jerrywhite2390

Just came across this. Finally glad to see a “real” video of life on the road as a 135 pilot. I’ve worked (currently unemployed thanks to COVID) 135 and fractional for 17 years (that can’t be right) and people don’t realize how draining and exhausting it can be. I had one job where every day was 12+ hours and 3-6 legs most days. I recognized all too well the look on your face when you were driving home at the end of your tour. 😬 That life is not for the faint hearted. Great video and looked like a fun crew!
