Nu Gundam with a bunch of bulky layered armors = Heavy Weapon System, meanwhile, Unicorn Gundam with a bunch of weapons without any added armor whatsoever = Full Armor Unicorn Gundam

Includes some 2 more shields which make up for more of the defense as Banaghner can probably remotely use them as entire funnels.
Thrusters and skirting aren't really armor. Other than that you have a massive gun, a chest piece that doesn't protect more as much as just give you a way to shoot misiles, a shield that turns the shield into a cannon, and a whole ass mega gun.
Plus, H.W.S. sounds better than Weapons, Skirt, and Thrusters. 😂
@@ZarekDaniel20 still far more armor-ish than whatever Unicorn Gundam Full Armor has lol, HWS really sounds cooler than Full Armor tho.
Armor to attack with a heavy amount of weapons for longer, weapons to arm yourself with so you can defend yourself better

Imagine mounting the double wing pack then the HWS Armour it's like making the Hi-Nu obsolete
There's a HWS for the Hi-Nu too. Same crazy junk all around, but blue/purple

@@ry0usama511 agree,because (to me anyway) hi-nu exist to compensate nu's lack of speed with the same power and hws armor on nu's is to make it's strength and fire power obliterates hi-nu's but with the cost of speed.
if you put hws on hi-nu its just too "crowded" and kills the reason of hi-nu existence

That was my plan when I ordered my hws expansion, already had the double fin funnel expansion by that time.
Only thing is finding the time to paint and build it all... Backlog is a bit excessive...
Was kind of interested in the korean beam (pyramid) shield, but it seems they don't ship that overseas...
Also have the mg Hi-nu with HWS, but the clear mechanical expo version (also yet to be build)
Well the Hi-Nu Gundam is just an alternate version of the Nu Gundam, so without the HWS, all of its specs would be the same to start with anyways.

It isn't explicitly stated in the video, but the navy in the full set is a different shade. So be careful if you plan on using the double fin funnel expansion as they won't match.
Just finish my HWS RG kit recently and its has to be the best RG kit for this year! Just order Water slide Decals for my RG so I hope to make it look just like yours. Excellent Review!

The front skirts of the Nu Gundam HWS is supposed to have sub-arms that can hold stuff like the beam sabers.
Sadly, it wasn't included but it's understandable for Bandai to make compromises
I just finished my build of this kit myself! It was my first real grade and I loved it. I do have the same issue with the side skirt lol.

All RG kits past the Unicorn are all solid kits since they are basically a scaled down MG.

I've always loved the HWS for its crazy shield. It looks nice overall, but that shield is perfection.

I have the MG Nu HWS ver ka but I hate that it lost most of its posability once the HWS unit is attached. It's nice to see the RG hold up much better against the heavy equipments.

And what I like about this is that, it don't scratch the figure when you apply it. I love the duel gundam, but its armor scratches some portion of figure.

It's worth it. I have the normal rg nu gundam and it's incredible.
The effect parts add the second wing and support for the funnels

Just about to finish my painted hws. Will display it in double fin funnel HWS.
The front skirt on mine also pops off easily too. I wasn't aware of the color variations between the full HWS release vs the update set (which I have + the standard RG). I was able to pre-order the MG HWS Nu Gundam in the beige-white scheme, so I'll have both ;)
I just got the Moon Gundam, babbys first gunpla, primer, color shift paint and some semi gloss.
Going for a gold and iridescent black look.
This one though... this one looks just as good!

2013 I bought this kit, two sets to form a complete Gundoom
2020 still in the box in my cabinet untouched.
I built the RG Nu Gundam and used waterslides. I was a little upset the HWS didn't come with water slides as well. Good thing eBay sellers have my back.
The p Bandai double figure funnel effect set came with waterslides for the OG Nu

P Bandai also has a US site and I secured a preorder for this expansion set that way
since you sometime review old kits, i wish you will review HG Barzam and MG Polypod Ball, these are the kits you forgot to review but already 'unboxed'
Almost picked this up but just didn't think it was worth covering up an already top tier kit. Nice that it exists though!
I also have the same issue with the left front skirt armor which is loose while the opposite side is quite secure. However, I accidentally snapped the chest armor piece during an excited test fitting cuz the only thing holding both missile nips is a flimsy plastic connection. The fin funnels are still damn loose

I got this the other day, I agree completely. It’s unreasonably expensive, but it just makes the best gunpla unreasonably cooler. Totally worth it to me.
The thingies at the top of the chest armor are non color separated larger missile pods?

You should really check out the HWS pack for the MG, it looks cool, despite it's issues.
I never noticed until now but the HWS Nu Gundam's body kinda looks like the Advanced Hazel. The shield even looks like a Hazel's shield.

Haha the Hyper Beam Rifle looks like a gimmick but that's the rifle Amuro uses when sniping enemies from afar having it extended with stand and just for normal combat when not extended. That's his most powerful weapon during that time when the Hyper Mega Bazooka Launcher hasn't existed yet 😁

For those looking to buy; the chest armour is unfortunately VERY fragile in the center, especially when attempting to attach and remove the armour!
note that the added front skirt armor is meant to have sub-arm units but this version lacks them.

Hi-Nu RG will be amazing!
Really wanted to get this during the P-bandai PO but I held back... Now I'm stuck to secondary market or other online stores that's selling it for more... Anyway, it's a beautiful kit and a great display piece..
I'm about to get the HWS expansion pack, but one thing that comes to my mind. Can I equipped that large shield on the other hand? Can the leg thrusters be equipped on both sides on a single leg? I'd really wanna put double the fin funnel, shield and rifle on my Nu Gundam, just to make it looks bulky.
