Would changing that oil pickup help prevent this? I was wondering because i have a 2017 wrx with 85k miles on it and I'm hearing a sputtering sound coming from the engine when I drive.?
So im not awake of the fa motors having issues with there oil pickups breaking like the ej motors. Also sputtering is usually from a misfire which could be worn plugs or something else. Your noise sounds like it's different then this car. I honestly still don't know why this motor blew up the way it did 🤣 I still need to rip the block apart and check the oil gallies
So I was told in my younger years to never break them loose with an impact because you can warp the block or head more. You want to evenly release the tension between the block and cylinder head. I was taught that thats what I've always done. Once I break them loose ill use am impact to remove them
Great video bro keep it hard🤙🏽
Thank you I appreciate it!
You make working on these things look easy..

Yes that's correct especially on all aluminum.. slowly use the same cross pattern to relieve pressure as equal as possible to prevent warping.
Thanks bro

Probably u will be the person i trust my wrx i have the same problem rod knock hard to find people that can do it right thanks for the video
You are better to pull the manifolds and turbo as one unit, not very hard.
Hey that's some solid advice. I will keep in mind for the next time! Thank you!
