Someone had already attempted to repair or just rob parts from this one. The blinker switch and ignition was already missing.. Thanks for watching! Happy New Year
I am curious about a step that you didn't show. Removing the key switch housing, (or whatever it is called). Upper part of the column housing. Mine will only slide off about 1/4 inch, and sounds like it hits something. It appears to be the gear rack for the ignition switch actuator rod. It is attached to the rod. And the mating gear for that gear rack is in that upper housing, it interfaces with the key switch. Seems like that would have to come out before the housing can slide off? I am stuck, can't find a video showing the removal of that housing. Thanks for any advice anyone can share.
@@jefflindsey9589 Hey Jeff, I did manage to get it apart. A tooth had broken off the sector gear and jammed things up. I do appreciate your reply, thank you.
Enjoying this column mini series, Jeff. Glad you jumped in there and are taking us along. Looking forward to what is next.
Thanks Indy. Assembly coming soon
Very nice Jeff. Lots of parts in these columns. This unit will make a nice column.
Few things missing but I think it’s ok
Next time please show the complete disassembly including key switch

I think it’s gonna be ok Thanks Chris
Glad that the tilt doesn't have play in it. That seems to be a problem with those tilt columns.
Yea that’s what I have seen John. It does seem to be in good shape. Good to hear from you
nicely done Jeff, it will be like new after you're done with it...
Thanks Seb

Jeff isn't that lever on that tube for the locking steering column? Nice vid.
Yes sir Mr Tom. For the tilt. I’m missing the blinker Armand switch.
