Dude, you saved my bacon. I got in a jam trying to replace my turn signal switch, this video showed me where I messed up, and it's all sorted now. Big thanks!
Hey brother, I’ve got a 1976 Silverado with the tilt steering column and for the life of me I can’t get the new ignition switch adjusted to where I can both fully crank and all the way turn back for the accessories. I have to pick one or the other obviously The crank position but brand new ignition switch brand new turn signal brand new everything thinking maybe the ride desert cylinder is not getting pushed to the extremes all the way forward all the way back. I don’t know if that’s possible, but I definitely appreciate that. You would have to get an order for me to, get this admission adjusted properly or potentially extending the range of the rod
Hello. What kept the steering shaft from sliding up and down the column while you worked it on a bench? I am rebuilding a 82’ that is still attached in the truck but the shaft slides up/down about an inch making it where I don’t need compression tool when installing the plate and ring. Any help/ advice would be greatly appreciated!!
I had to replace my ignition sector gear on my 77GMC High Sierra along with cylinder and ignition. When I tried to connect the ground cable. the horn would go off. What did I do wrong? Please reply. Thank you.
Thank you so much for watching the whole video! I appreciate your support and hope you found some enjoyment in it, even if the outcome wasn't what you expected.

Nice work especially when you have the right tools

2:10 the flat part of the puller goes out so the heads of the bolts stay flat. 😢
3:43 it's bent because you have the puller plate on upside down.
That is a wonderful video step by step instructions
Thank you so much God bless you

Ahh the goid old days when there were no airbags

So nice of you. Have a great weekend
At 3:00 it's not "tweeked" cause it was on so hard, it's cause you have the puller on backwards!!!
LOL yeah i figured that out. Have a great week

It should not move like that. Something is wrong
@@unclebucksgarage7695 that’s what I thought but can’t figure out what. Do you have any thoughts what it may be? Thank you

Check the button isn't contacting the column
@@grantslater2485 are you talking about the locking button?
Are you talking about touching the locking plate
No the plastic ring in the horn assembly make sure it is not cracked or making contact
@@grantslater2485 thank you I'll check that out tomorrow.
The funny part is you took the column apart just to fix that!!! And I'm the idiot who watched this whole video...
Thanks
