Just followed your lead and put some TOYO Open Country MT’s paired with Fuel Coverts on my 2019 JL. I cant stop smiling! The ride is rugged, and not EVEN as loud as I thought they’d be on the FWY from a sound standpoint. This is an easy project both from a financial and installation standpoint. I had mine done at Wheel Warehouse in Orange, California and they had the entire 5 install done in like 2 1/2 hours. I’m thinking of getting it lifted a little now - I hear this is a common addiction with JEEP owners. I definitely think I have the bug. Thanks for all of the informative videos and info. Really appreciate it. ✌🏼
I went with exact setup. Driving on the road or on the highway, if you go over a large bump you will scrape just a little. Not enough to damage the fenders, but you can feel the scratches on the underside of the fenders. I think the setup looks though.
Hello! I own a 2024 Wrangler Sahara that I bought new, and until now, I hadn’t considered the possibility of replacing the original tires with larger ones because I thought a lift kit would be essential for 35" tires, and the idea didn’t appeal to me much. Thanks for the incredibly helpful video. I have a question: to equip my Jeep with the same tires as the one in the video and achieve the same result, will I also need to change the wheels? Or can I keep the original ones, which I really like and are also 18"?
Hello, I just went from stock to 20x12 35 and now my 6 and 7 gear change around 2.5k rpm, before used to change 2k rpm also I would stay on 8 gear at 72 mph under 2k rpm. Now at 65 mph using 2.5k rpm. Where do I get that tune? Dealer? Plz help
Extreme Terrain please provide the specs of these wheels in this build. offset? back spacing? i love this look but am not sure on the wheels to buy other than 18x9
Can you please tell us about the wheels the videos? Are They true bead lock wheels. Most people run 17"s what offerings do you have in 18"s? Offset, beadlock etc.
They're our 17x9 Mammoth Steel Wheels! They are not beadlock. You can find more info at the following link. -Zach www.extremeterrain.com/mammoth-jeep-wrangler-jl-d-window-black-steel-wheel-17x9-j100952-jl.html
It'd have to be a decent size pothole, but you will also have to consider your offset. The more aggressive the stance, you may come in contact with the outer side of the fender rather than the extra space that's inside the wheel well.
Stock Sahara wheels are going to be an 18x7, with that narrow wheel width you may not be able to fit some of the wider tire options on there too comfortably. What size tire are you looking into? Are you lifting your Wrangler? Do you plan on off-roading often? I can help you find some great options! -Zach
F2F Tech FYI - There are many manufacturers out there that make a 285/75R18 that’s a nice step up. It’s a little wide and may rub at full lock/stuff, but it’s ideal for an 8” rim. BUT!!!!!!!! There ARE 37x11.50R18 if you lift that thing. Think RAM Power Wagon sizes.
ExtremeTerrain.com Thanks Zach. I’m looking for something a little bit larger than stock, but unsure or the size. I plan on doing some off roading and probably doing a 2.5” lift. I have the black altitude wheels, so that’s why I’m wanting to keep them.
If you're not looking to go too much larger than stock, you'll definitely want to stick with a 33" or 34" tire. 275/70R18s are a great option! They're about one step up from factory in terms of size and they do a great job of maintaining a lot of your factory driving characteristics. That size looks *great* while stock or with a leveling kit, but may look a little small with 2.5" of lift. If you want something a bit bigger, I'd look into a 285/75R18. That size will be just above 34" once under the weight of the Jeep, but won't be as bulky as a traditional 35x12.50. Both of these sizes will fit fine on stock wheels as well! Hope this helps! -Zach
If you like the look of them, 35s work great on 20s! If you plan on going off-road or wheeling often though these aren't going to be your best option. You'll have much more sidewall with 17" or 18" wheels. More sidewall = more traction off-road. -Zacg
Hi I’m riding a 2022 Jeep Rubicon, 2.0 Petrol / 8 Speed Auto with BFG KO2 285/70 R17. Stock Alloy size is 17 x 7.5” I’m looking forward to upgrade to 315/70 R17. 1) Would this tyre fit on 17 x 7.5” alloy. 2) Would this affect my mileage 3) I’m not planning to lift or put spacers Can you please guide me on this ?
Long story short, 35s are going to be much heavier compared to your stock 32s. On a Sahara model you will definitely notice the extra weight and it will cause things to feel a good bit more sluggish in comparison. Rubicons will be able to handle this extra weight better because of their 4.10 gear ratio, but if your Rubicon has a manual transmission you will still lose a good bit of 6th gear unless you re-gear. Hope this helps! -Zach
I appreciate all these fitment videos. But Every single one has the tires poking out from the fenders. There are MANY states where this is illegal. Can you cover options where we keep the vehicle legal for the roads; not sticking past the fenders? (This stems from my lifted Liberty going to run 215/85r16 so that there’s no crud flinging all over my perfect paint and my history of running larger, but not wider, tires on vehicles: i.e. 33x9.50’s, 33x10.50’s, 215/85, 295/65r20, etc.)
Not entirely sure if we plan on making a separate video on that topic, but I know a good bit of people are fans of pizza cutters! On the JL and JK, 255/80R17s and 255/85R16s (only on JKs, 16s on JLs take some persuasion to make work) fit fine without a lift, look great *with* a leveling kit, and keep everything underneath the fender flares. Same with 33x10.5R15s, but most 15s that fit on JKs need to have 3.5 inches of backspacing (which would push them outside of the wheel well anyway). If you arent a fan of skinnies, 285/70R17s fit on stock JL wheels just fine and stay tucked under the fenders nicely. Anything wider than than will most likely poke a bit, and will definitely need some backspacing to fit without rubbing. -Zach
They'll be a little tight but they will! You'll likely need to remove the factory air-dams connecting the bumper to the front fender flares on the Sport to get a little extra room. -Zach
Height-wise, those 34s will fit just fine. I would highly recommend getting a set of 1.5" wheel spacers to get a little extra room while turning. Those with a leveling kit will have your Gladiator looking really tough, though! -Zach
Its a good bit harder to fit 35s on a JK without any modifications, honestly. I would highly recommend looking into a 2" leveling kit and higher clearance fender flares at the very least in order to fit 35s comfortably. -Zach
Hey! I have stock 18” wheels and 255/70R18 tires on my 2021 sport altitude. Will I be able to put 33-35” inch tires on the stock wheel without lifting? Also if I went with a 33” - 275/70R18, do I have to remove the splash guard? Same question with a 35” - 295/70R18, will the splash guard need to be removed?
275/70R18s would work great stock without needing to remove the splash guards or lifting! Once you start looking at 295/70s or larger 35s, you'll definitely need to remove your splash guards and personally I'd recommend getting a lift kit. 35s can work on stock suspensions like you saw in our video, but the added space given by a 1" or 2" lift will make things less tight of a fit. -Zach
@@extremeterrain Thanks for the reply Zach! Besides removal of the splash guards for the 295/70R18s… can I put them straight on the stock wheel and I’m good to go? Do I need to get spacers? (My stock wheels are 18 in x 7.5 in) Thanks again!
Maybe! Many owners have put on 285/70R17s stock without any issues regarding rubbing. Since those 295s are a hair wider and an inch taller, you may want to grab a set of 1.25" or 1.5" spacers just in case. Get the tires installed first and check for rubbing, worse come to worse you don't need them and can return them! I'd recommend checking out some Jeep Facebook groups or forums to see if people have tried that size without wheel spacers too. -Zach
Most likely not! The 2.0L paired with the new 8-Speed transmission is a great combination when it comes to handling larger tires. I have a couple friends and have seen numerous customers run 33s and 35s without regearing because of how torquey the turbo keeps things. Unless you plan on doing major rock crawling I wouldn't be too worried. -Zach
The Fuel Revolvers in this video have an offset of -12mm and backspacing of 4.5 inches! If you'd like to learn more you can click on the following link! -Zach www.extremeterrain.com/fuel-wheels-jeep-wrangler-jl-revolver-black-milled-wheel-18x9-d52518902645.html

Would I need to regear my JL Sport if I put 35s with a lift?
For a JL SportS 2 door, will a 0.75 inch spring spacer help fit 35 more comfortably? And would 4.56 gear help with the sluggish nature?
How many inches overall did the Jeep raise?
Looks like you removed the inner fender liners?
Can you put 35s on stock oem wheels for 2020 Sahara 18s?
Yes
What's that offset??

What considerations need to be made for the tire pressure warning system if I order "ready to mount" tire &wheel packages?
So with 35's on 18's how big of a pothole will it take to have that tire slamming into your fender/wheel well?
It'd have to be a decent size pothole, but you will also have to consider your offset. The more aggressive the stance, you may come in contact with the outer side of the fender rather than the extra space that's inside the wheel well.
ok, so if you have a Rubicon no problem, with other trims instead, yes you do have problems and need adjustments. thanks
Would that same set up fit on a 2020 Jeep Gladiator Sport Altitude w/o lift?
What’s the offset on this wheel?
The Fuel Revolver wheels shown in this video have 4.5" of backspacing and an offset of -12mm! -Zach
do i need re gear with 3.55 ratio ?
Will this work with rims that are 22x12 with a -44 offset on 35x12.5inch tires?
You may have to do some trimming to the factory plastics and you may have a slight run at full turn.
Muy especial luces muy bonita

Nope! Just the offset from the wheels we used! -Zach
I m confused now should I go with 17x9 or 18x9
Whatever you like the look of more! I like 17s personally - I want more tire than wheel. If you like bigger wheels though, go for 18s! -Zach
Please le me know if a 18x10 with the 35in tire will work too please thank you!
As long as its a 35x12.5, that tire will fit just fine on a 18x10. -Zach

If you like the look of them, 35s work great on 20s! If you plan on going off-road or wheeling often though these aren't going to be your best option. You'll have much more sidewall with 17" or 18" wheels. More sidewall = more traction off-road. -Zacg
Will 35" fit as spare??
I believe the carrier on my rubicon is adjustable for 35’s. Don’t know about the other trims
Can the 35” tires go on the stock rims ?
Yes but with a 12.5" wide tire on stock rims you might need wheel spacers to keep the tire from rubbing.

So with this 35 & 18 inches wheel setup doesnt require no gear upgrade on Sahara ? But it would be perfect for Rubicon ?
