I love Beaulieu sur Mer. Wonderful place to be. It's beautiful but right in the middle of wonderful places. A few minutes from Cap Ferrat and right next to Monaco when you want to go great restaurants and nightlife. The best part of about it is that it's relaxed but you're so close to places with high activity which to me would be important when you retire.
It was so wonderful running into you in Beaulieu this week!! Wishing you a fabulous time in your next destination. Thank you for all your wonderful content. We really appreciate it! Christy & Naser
Love your video. So informative. My husband and I are thinking to buy a condo as second home. We are avid tennis players so we are not certain where to move to be near the clubs but my husband loves sailing too. We both love opera, chamber music and ballet too. We are some what confused where to look. But what we do know the Riviera is where we want to be since we live in Ohio and have so many gray rainy days.
Thank you for watching! Best is to come check it out, so that you can weigh what's most important to you. Nice and Monaco have Opera houses. Beaulieu has a nice clay court club and sailing. Italy is not too far away, with Verona, Milan, Genoa for opera/ballet on weekend get aways by car, train or flight. Enjoy your hunt!
Tennis club in Cap D'ail is good, a few courts on the beach and affordable membership. In Monaco there is the country club with lots of courts (Mote Carlo Open played there) and for sailing, the yacht club of Monaco has sailing (I'm sure other towns on the coast all would too).
Just checked properties for sale here and the cheapest was a studio apartment for €230,000. Fine if you live alone or are a minimalist couple. I would actually consider it actually.
Nicely done. Great video and beautiful narration. Looking for a spring or fall vacation spot in France, then who knows? Gonna check out your other videos.
I visited Beaulieu sur mer and St jean Cap Ferrat in my early twenties with my parents and decided to do the same adventure with my daughters at the same age as I.So pleased to see it is still the elegant and classic town.Sorry Americans but thank god they did not changed the decor into gaudy tacky American style.
Thank you for your encouragement! Our slow travel is in Nice France right now. Spain -- San Sebastian Donostia coming up for spring! Where else do you think we should go to?
Oh of course why did I not think of this. I have my cheque book out can I buy two of them. Good to see you are catering for the majority who can afford the ridiculous prices down there.
Thank you for watching! The French Riviera is pretty expensive in general, especially in the shoulder and high season. We stayed in a hotel in Beaulieu for 100E per night in the low season.
Thank you for watching! The best time to visit depends on what you're looking for. If you want a beach experience and the restaurants buzzing, then summer. We like to visit in the off season October-February. Things like the Monoco Gran Prix, Cannes Film Festival, and Nice Carnival will impact how easy it is to find a place to stay in Beaulieu. There are many options for where to stay in Beaulieu and here is one to get you started on your search. www.airbnb.com/rooms/17788589?check_in=2024-10-11&check_out=2024-10-18&guests=1&adults=1&s=67&unique_share_id=e450e909-0e91-4edc-b784-63f88aa637b3
We do longer stays so we find monthly rental properties at companies like Nestor and Jeeves and Airbnb. We like to visit in the off season. Things like the Monoco Gran Prix, Cannes Film Festival, Summer time and Nice Carnival are high season and will impact how easy it is to find a place to stay in Beaulieu as its close to all those activities. Dear Maya and Emre, I discovered your videos not too long ago...what a treat! I am thinking of relocating. Even though city life would be my first choice, Beaulieu-Sur-Mer looks certainly very tempting. Do you happen to know any long-term apartment leasing possibilities in town? Thank you both. N.B. I hope I spelled your names correctly:)
Thank you for watching! We don't have a long-term apartment leasing contact. If you're doing any work in Nice, you can look into a mobility contract. Nestor and Jeeves handles mobility contract apartments, but not sure if they have anything in Beaulieu. All the best for your relocation!
Hello Again, Yes, I am looking at Cannes/Nice or nearby. Will certainly contact Nestor and Jeeves to find out about a little more. Thank you so much. Happy and safe travels! Gülden
Maybe this is in reference to the Carabacel neighborhood? 629K Euros for the first apartment in the Carabacel Where to Live in Nice video. Thank you for watching.
I'll be in Nice in a couple of weeks. You both have convinced me with this delightful video to visit Beaulieu sur Mer for a day! :) Could you please recommend a few good places to eat there? Also, I realised that I'll be there on Easter weekend. I was wondering if buses would run from Nice? Or should I pre-book a train ticket, just to be safe. Thank you so much!
Thank you for watching and your encouragement! Have a lovely trip to the beautiful French Riviera! We've never been there on Easter weekend, however if the weather is good, the buses and trains will be packed like sardines. The trains and buses don't have seat assignments so on busy holidays, summer and weekends, especially Sundays, it can be standing room only. You can download the bus and train apps and they will help you with what is running and how frequent.
Thank you for watching! Yes, we stay in short-term apartments. It's very time-consuming to wade through all the options but also rewarding to stay in someone's home, especially with a good host that helps with questions and tips. Where are you headed?
I haven't made any firm plans. Lots of place I would like to see. I like Liguria, but not been in a while. Not thought of staying with a host. That might be fun and interesting.@@happygoluckytravel
This time of year Nice is quite sunny, but you'll still need a jacket and warm clothes. We're still on full-time travel and haven't relocated😀 Next slow travel stop -- Spain!
Lovely town, spent a week there in a lovely hotel and loved the market ❤. However…The Cafe Le Beaulieu, what a pathetic dump, we were treated like merde because we weren’t French. check out all the google reviews. Really let’s the town down, lots of other lovely places to patronise 👍
you really didn't delve into the practical living aspects, housing, rent, buy lease, cost of living, etc. this was a glossed over view from the privileged.
Beaulieu-sur-mer was an instant favourite as soon as we stepped foot in the place. ❤
Thank you for watching! Easy to fall in love with Beaulieu!

It's great to hear you love Beaulieu Sur Mer, too! Nice summary of what makes this spot on the French Riviera special! Thank you for watching.
It´s my favorite place on the Côte 🙂nice video
Thank you for watching!
Love Beaulieu sur Mer! So underrated too!

So nice to meet you in Beaulieu Christy and Naser! We hope you're feeling better, Christy. Thank you for the encouragement. Safe travels!
We went for our 40th anniversary to Nice and discovered this lovely little gem. We were blown away.❤
Thank you for watching, glad its still lovely after all these years!

Always a pleasure to watch your easy going videos of beautiful places. I wish they were longer!!
I ditto that.
Thank you for watching and always being so encouraging!

Very nice, one of my favourite places but not in the summer.
Is it too crowded? Or too hot? We're curious! Thank you for watching.
Beautiful place, but crazy expensive right for accommodation and food etc right?
Thank you for watching! The French Riviera is pretty expensive in general, especially in the shoulder and high season. We stayed in a hotel in Beaulieu for 100E per night in the low season.
Lovely. IDRO! Any Air BnB suggestions in this village? Also when is the best time to visit?

Thank you for watching! We didn't stay in a hotel here, so not sure. All the best for your trip!

I missed the price of the first apartment. Can you do videos on the suburbs/smaller villages? I saw one on Beaulieu sur Mer, but no apartment prices.
Maybe this is in reference to the Carabacel neighborhood? 629K Euros for the first apartment in the Carabacel Where to Live in Nice video. Thank you for watching.
A small apartment starts around 500k euro. That's pretty expensive for France.
Location for 'Dirty Rotten Scoundrels' wasn't it, with enough room for only one con-man?
Nice video.
Thank you for watching! We did not know Beaulieu was a movie set. Will have to go watch that movie again.
@@happygoluckytravel The film renames it as Beaumont-sur-Mer. Enjoy!

I want to retire near Nice! This sounds like a great option. Don’t want to use car. Is it overall more affordable than Nice??
Beaulieu is so beautiful, but unfortunately not cheaper than Nice. Thank you for watching!
Hello guys!! are you permanently relocated to Europe?? How’s the weather in Nice??🤗🤗
This time of year Nice is quite sunny, but you'll still need a jacket and warm clothes. We're still on full-time travel and haven't relocated😀 Next slow travel stop -- Spain!
Would anyone complain if we pitched a tent in the main square for a few years?
Maybe the kids playing soccer😂 Thank you for watching!
My favorite spot in the world and I live in Florida.

Looks idyllic!

Happy to hear you found things to love in Beaulieu! Thank you for watching. Sorry about your cafe experience.
A spot I enjoy where they treat you well in the town is Maison de la Sauce. Some of the cafe's and restaurants on the port decent too.
🇧🇷❤❤❤
Don’t tell anyone …………😊
seems you forgot the most important aspect , You will need few millions $$ to by you the place , but other than that its all good
Beautiful , but in France if you want to live well you need a lot of € !
If you can afford a place there ...
you really didn't delve into the practical living aspects, housing, rent, buy lease, cost of living, etc. this was a glossed over view from the privileged.
That’s because you won’t find a single place on the Cap Ferrat for less than £5million
💩Bono💩leave there
Full of pickpockets. Watch your belongings whilst walking around, especially near Villa Kerolos.
