See the company is led by people who operate on numbers and metrics, and the higher up the command chain the less those numbers make sense to them so they reduce it to even less numbers. So the board at the top only reads some reports on profit margin trends, projections and so on. Lower the studio directors only look at impact of specific features, third party services, platforms, regions, marketing an so on. Below them the game designers are looking at the game they work on as a mathematical construct, finite and provable, where numbers and resources in the game are all interconnected and fed into each other to increase the metrics. Where in that chain are the people who are responsible for adding soul, or for taking gamers opinions into account you may ask? I dunno. Not there apparently.

They also threw Denuvo retroactively into Avatar a few days ago, almost a year after release. AFOP is a singleplayer story game with a 2-player co-op option.
Whats truely insane to me is that ubisoft normalized a mmorpg cash shop in their single player games. AAA Price + cash shop with skins, boosters, dlc. In single player games.
Absolutely wild. That alone is enough to never touch their games ever again.
It's even more insane when you look at Ubi now compared to 2000-2013 or so. From a very well loved company to now one of the most hated. About the only thing worthwhile from them anymore is some of their smaller games like Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle.

You shouldn't need to be online to play a game that doesn't use the internet.
Diablo 4
Facts. There is too many games that only have a single player option and still require you to be online
but it does need your internet, just not the way you'd want. theyll try to figure out based on the patten of how the game is played and how you browse the shop to figure out what you like. then they show it to you (like the pop up on steam when you launch it) (also it can be toggled off) to try and milk another dollar from you. so its not a game, its your personal billboard.
As simple as this. 👍👍

That is funny sounds like an investor thing
When I see shops in a single player game that let you use a real money currency, it just kills any immersion that existed. Ubisoft went too far with the monetization and went too far with their dumbed down poi system, that loses any feeling of discovery in an open world game.
Exactly, what's the point of me grinding and getting cool gear and weapons if can just get the majority of it by swiping my credit card and getting broken gear from the get go?
oooough.
i like the devs behind Middle Earth: Shadow of War because the features that were previously online are still available even though they shut the game servers down, and although it had an ingame cash shop with some degree of anti-cheat they never advertised it and all you get from it are a couple of upgrades which is honestly not worth it
they removed it which is nice. You could buy the upgrades with the ingame currency you got for doing missions anyways.
I appreciate that they didn't gimp or delist the game when shutting down the servers and took measures to ensure it was still feature-complete even though the servers shut down. The Vendetta stuff and sieging player fortresses still works.
I dislike the copyrighting of the Nemesis system because its a fucking travesty that other people can't use it to make amazing games meaning all other games with "Nemesis" systems are gimped because of it, but hey.

Yes
I dunno. Not there apparently.

my man, just play tm², which isn't getting fucked over, or even tmuf, which still has a thriving community and is basically forgotten and doesn't get any updates at all
4:05, bro screamed outta no where had me scared haha!
Ubisoft is the absolute worst can't stand their micro transactions so annoying
I always been using those cheat engines best decision ever! 💯
That company is way too greedy. 🤦🏾
Man I wish micro-transactions only applied to ordering food and items from an online shop. Nowadays making them a pay to win
7:09 … if someone wants to cheat in their single player game … why not? 🤨
I agree, I think single player games should have the ability to cheat built into the game if thats what the player wants to do, similar to how Rockstar does it with RDR2 or gta V. Needlessly limiting the players ability to have fun in a single player experience is just redundant and stupid.
Maybe bc of piracy? Idk
The cheats are also the one that keep the game going after you finish the story. Example, GTA San Andreas. There are cheat codes where it can transform the gamemode into something more chaotic and interesting. like riot mode or all peds will always target the player challenge
@@Luke_the_Luk bruh, how would you pirate the game of you're playing it on Steam?
So they buy helix credits, he explains this. You can mod and cheat the older games to cheat in helix credits, even using the simple cheat engine worked.
Love from a Xanderhal and Vaush fan!
Mutahar screaming about Denuvo and multiple launchers on pc is literally me 😂😂😂
Waiting for ubisoft to collapse so that i can buy their entire library for 1 dolar 😂😂😂😂
Microsoft or Sony will probably buy them
@@FinnTheHumen muta said in one of his prior videos that one of their major investors threatens to buy them if they don´t make enough revenue
@@FinnTheHumen hearing the name "Microsoft" again Is making me don't want to touch their newest crap. The only thing they did better was making OS and not games
@@FinnTheHumen Both of those companies are just as bad! Sony's out here censoring everything and trying to monopolize Anime & Manga whereas Microsoft is too busy with DEI instead of making games🤷♂🤦♂
Id have to be paid to play their games
I made this exact rant about multiple launchers and anti-cheat with a friend a coiple days ago 😂 i feel every ounce of frustration in that mic-peaking rant. I shouldnt have to worry about micro transactions, multiple launchers, anti-cheat etc while playing a single player game.
We NEED to see angry Mutahar more. That was epic!
That was more than I bargained for! 🤣
Ubisoft is acting like a music company. So desperate to make every single cent possible to make ends meet.
LMFAO so true
You can tell that Muta is really passionate about this.
Im not a fan of the new assassin creed games but this new ones very controversial. Ubisoft stealing logos from Japanese groups, hiring a consultant that is a expert with men and young boy love from middle ages, the amount of disinformation about the black Samurai and etc. Its a dead on arrival game but it will probably sell as good as Starwars Outlaws or a bit better but nothing amazing. Its quite a disrespectful game though towards the Japanese people.
Oh shit, I hadn't heard exactly why people were hating on it. Had no clue there was a bunch of disinformation about the black samurai and also they hired a consultant who is a WHAT??
The game could've been so good, a game about the black samurai? Such a missed opportunity
@mothxii5598 Yup its full of bs.
@mothxii5598 the black samurai never existed anyways, some dude took a paragraph and extrapolated it into a career

If buying isn't owning, then piracy isn't stealing. Thing is, I don't even feel like pirating their crap anymore.
Piracy has never been stealing. By definition It's mere copyright infringement
4:01 bro really put the emphasis in the F 😭🙏
4:00 here is the highlight for sponsorblock. If you use it, you can create the segment here.
It's also insane to spend money on cosmetics in first person games like farcry when you can't even see the cosmetics. I was playing farcry 6 and I wanted a outfit but I went to check the price and it was 20 dollars but before I bought the outfit I realized I can't even see the outfit in game so what's the fukking point?
I guess you could see in the cut scenes which, for some shit reason doesn't show what you're wearing on your head. I hate when games do that.
One of the things I enjoyed about that game was that you could get half the stuff from the store through the one thing you could do in game where you have companions do little mini quests for you over a set of time or whatever. Idk why anyone would actually spend their real money on that stuff haha. Most of the stuff in the store is just a reskin of something else already in the game, but I did appreciate that they gave us a way to get it in game without lighting money on fire.
Alemio presale bonus tiers are a great incentive for early supporters-huge potential here!
Maybe another cheap plastic statue mocking a different war memorial will fix their problems
I mean personally I'm playing Stutter 2: Lag of Chornobyl and the repair system is absolutely busted, so I just gave my self a million "koupons" so I wouldn't have to worry about it. With that said I think this would go even further than that, even mods that depend on scripts would most likely get flagged.
Thanks for pointing that out!
We just need to boykott those companies, then either they go bankrupt or change their behavior.
In either way it will be beneficial for the gamingcommunity
0:56 It's called "Stockholm Syndrome"..
Dude pays for every assasins creed, each more predatory than the rest. Now is angry that it finally reaches it's ultimate form. Like my guy you paid for this to happen.
Im a proud gamer. Ubisoft dont make games for me. I am not "the modern audience"

@@AETERNA-PASSIO There are a thousand products that you decide not to purchase everyday but don't complain about. Every industry shifts overtime, but you can care less about dozens of other industries. There are still plenty of games that you probably still enjoy and they came out in 2024. Why focus on the ones that don't appeal to you? I find this extremely fascinating by the way. It's like a Ford stan complaining about the new body on a Chevy sports car. Why waste the time?
