Glad you’re enjoying it! And since MSY happens to be my home airport, I tend to feature it quite often! Thanks for watching and the sub!

Thank you for posting! This is one of the first videos I've seen and heard that accurately captures the sound of the engines during take-off.

One thing we know for sure since you're flying a -900, because of a certain recent event, your window plug didn't blow out! :) Amazing how noisy and loud the preflight announcement is, what with the music and safety briefing. IAH being my home airport, the weather was perfect for an outing such as this! Basically this flight was a straight shot to IAH, no significant turns going east. Did you layover and fly back to MSY or elsewhere? During the taxi in, you can definitely hear the sound difference when the pilot shuts down the right engine! As you park, the round concourse that is blocked off, that is the last physical remnant of the original IAH from the late 1960's! I go back far enough to remember when Terminal C was new, Texas Int'l gates on the south side, Continental on the north side--BTW unrelated--your trip to CLT and MIA--maybe I'm missing something but I'm looking for the segment MSY-CLT or is there? I'd like to view the postings round trip from MSY-CLT

True, but this -900 actually didn’t have any door plugs since it wasn’t an “ER”variant. So nothing to worry about there lol! No connection in IAH as I just flew there and back for a day trip. And somehow this was my first time flying into IAH since 2013, but there’s a lot of renovating going on at the moment. And funny you ask about that MSY-CLT flight. I did indeed fly that route… but you’re correct, there’s no upload for it. For one it was a 5AM flight which mainly took place in the dark. Secondly, I unfortunately encountered a power tripping FA who harassed me multiple times during the flight to quit filming. While she was definitely in the wrong, I didn’t want to cause any further issues and simply decided not to continue filming, thus no upload. I do have some takeoff footage that I captured in between, but I’m debating whether or not to post it.

That was a very strange takeoff roll for a 737. Like the thrust wasn't enough. It's sea level so the air is plenty thick. I would have been worried as a passenger with my head in the window. Well, I would have been thinking, not worried. 45 seconds from roll-on start to lift-off. Wow.

Well, it was definitely a long takeoff roll as we made it to around the last 1-2000 feet before liftoff. However; with this being a 737-900, the -900’s are notorious for longer takeoff rolls due to the extended fuselage. They tend to be “runway hogs.” So in this case, it was a pretty routine takeoff. Thanks for watching!
