- This is flight 2 of 13 from my recent journey around the world. In September/October, I set out to circumnavigating the Earth, and after 9 days, 8 airlines, 13 flights, and over 24,000 miles, I eventually landed back in Kansas City after visiting San Francisco, Los Angeles, Honolulu, Tokyo, Osaka, Bangkok, Doha, London, Dublin, Munich and Newark. Over the next 6 weeks I'll be posting these flights in order, so you too can take this incredible journey with me! If the video doesn't have this bit at the top of the description, and in the pinned comment, it is not part of the around the world flights.

That’s a lot! Cool that you did it!
Amazing man! Keep it up 👍
Bangkok/Doha and Doha/Bangkok are my most flewn legs. Probably 20 times....
@@nikolauswolff5791 unfortunately on this trip Qatar was using the 773 on the route. It seems they sometimes use the 380 and I would've much preferred that haha.
@@sla31 Yes they do. QR 836 arriving at 6:35 pm is a daily A 380 flight. I had that on January 1st ( A 380 A7- APD ).
That was so considerate of the people on board and the flight crew to try to make sure everyone made their connecting flights. So cool to know this flight was part of a really epic trip around the world! Thank you for sharing!
Only 11 more to go after this one. Although the next couple were significantly longer than this one. I'm glad you enjoyed this one!
I noticed whenever they have storms or have very cloudy conditions pilots will usually fly just below the clouds until the clear spot open up to sneak above the clouds my intuition, because I am not a pilote, it's just by observation since I used to fly a lot, my observation is that they avoid to fly directly throught the cloud, I love that part of the flight because it always feels like they fly on manual and the movements of the aircraft is just so cool you really get to appreciate the amount of engineering that was invested in creating these awsome machines.
I love this sm! I have insomnia caused by anxiety and always love to drift off to sleep at 4am by watching a short full flight video. Thank you so much for posting this!
I'm glad you can enjoy them that way my friend!
Those dual takeoffs and landings at SFO are always awesome.
Welcome sights
I just finished watching today's Bold and The Beautiful episode and now, I'm watching your video. Great views throughout this whole flight. Great view of SFO. Seeing all of those freeways in LA made me think of the song by Dionne Warwick where she says "LA is just one great big freeway".
Well, we're going to get hit with one of our November storms here and this one may be a Pineapple Express coming straight from Hawaii. Those storms are usually very wet and cause a lot of flooding. But, we're way under budget with the annual rainfall, so we need this.
I hope those passenger made their connecting flights.
Amazing and love that 737-800!!
The operations in SFO and the closeness of them to each other is just startling, to say the least. A heavy on short final for 25L, nonetheless 2 aircraft released on 1l and 1R for takeoff - awesome!
This was a great flight with a cool takeoff over the bay and the landing into LAX was very cool too with that big final turn landing on the south side than the north side, because most of the planes landing from the north would arrive on the north side. The views were very cool and I loved your shot of Imua One at the very end!
Awesome footage Skylite👍. Liked and enjoyed
Glad you enjoyed it my friend!
Hi B, nice work my friend, I'm still here and still watching lol. Looking forward to seeing the rest of your marathon trip around the globe, WOW. Keep up the good work, kind regards from across the pond 🙂
Good to hear from you my friend! I'm glad you're enjoying them! I'm really excited to start posting the international segments from this trip!
Excellent take off video clip in United 737 out of San Fran
at the 43:00 mark it looks like you're flying over the Midwest (Iowa, Kansas, Nebraska). I would of never guessed that its California, very nice👍
Beautiful smooth climbout from SFO through the broken clouds.
Vídeo Espetacular Principalmente Quando Você Senta na Janela Mostrando Todos os Detalhes na Decolagem. Parabéns e like Pra o Canal 🇧🇷😎👌
I would love to fly the new 737Max8 one day to see the difference to our A 320. Great filming as always Bryce.
It's getting to the point here in the states where it's hard to avoid them haha. Not that I want to, but I mean it's hard to even plan a trip now that doesn't involved a Max 8 on Untied, American, or Southwest. Alaska will introduce the Max 8 in February as well.
It never fails to amaze me how such a relatively small wing, “as long as the physics of flight and the manufacturers instructions are followed right down to the exact amount of knots of airspeed at the appropriate stage of the flight” manages to lift several hundred tonnes of aircraft Into the sky and, in skilled hands, can land almost perfectly on the destination runway!
Thoughts?
Looked like priority handling all the way. Bypassed SFO departure queue to back-taxi for take-off. SoCal brought you over the LAX finals to make left traffic for 25L. Cabin crew asked your neighbors to sit tight to let PHX and ORD pax off first. Great service AND beautiful Cali views enroute. Wonderful experience through and through !!
Well, I don't know the exact situation, but I do know the crew were not too happy that ATC at SFO parked several aircraft in the alley behind us when their gates weren't open. Meaning we got stuck at the gate for like 35 minutes not being able to push back. So maybe ATC was trying to make up for that haha.
Works for me.
Been enjoying this series of round-the-world flights that you took (and no doubt will enjoy the rest of them).
Quite the strange approach to LAX's 25L, but I'm thinking that was most likely due to the pilots requesting south side priority for tight connections. Hope all the pax to ORD and PHX (and their luggage) made it to the connecting flights! Also, what's up with SFO ATC recently? I saw your comment down below about the aircraft parked behind yours in the alley causing a 35 minute delay.
15:48 Didn’t realize KLM flew their 787-9s to SFO. Thought it was 777s for some reason.
Thank you so much once again for uploading the video 😊❤ and what is your next flight video?
Just an FYI: You'll find the flights listed in order of his trips in the description.
The next flight releases in a whole 5 minutes and it's from LAX-HNL.
Hey Bryce, do you know if you had a drag race with that other E175? Please tell me.
I have no idea. The pax across from me had their windows closed, so I couldn't see anything on the other runway after we'd turned around.
Love these two! Have you started a playlist yet?
Not yet, but that is a great idea! I will do that!
Nice video as always! Kinda curious, I can only make out one engine start at 11:04, when was the second engine started? Could not make that out. I'm not aware that the 737 can perform a dual engine start
Nice 👍 good beautiful full flight ✈️ video and so beautiful i comment from Pakistan
I'm glad you enjoyed it my friend! Thanks for watching!
I flew LAX / SFO in 1987 with Pan Am. Airbus A 300.
Man, if only that type of flight was still around! I can't imagine taking a wide body from LAX-SFO or back haha.
@@sla31American, Delta and United all fly widebodies domestically and sometimes regionally.
@@Michael-db4snyes, I know. I have flown many of those routes on the channel. But none of them operate wide bodies between LAX and SFO is what I meant.
@@sla31United at one point flew the 787 between lax and sfo when it first got them.
However, now, even a 757 between the two would be lucky.
what kind of camera did You use? Quality is awesome!
I film everything with iPhones. Currently using iPhone 14 Pros and iPhone 15 Pros.
Hey Skylite. Thanks for another great video. Do you think at 5:40 the guy with the flashlight is listening to his favorite tunes and just chillin'? That's gotta get uncomfortable after a while! Oops 6:27 I guess he heard me! I wonder if these guys with the flashlights make more than Spanish teachers. If so, where do I sign up? I just replied to your last email. Hope you're doing well. Talk to you soon.
I know if I was him, I'd definitely be listening to music or a podcast haha. I got your email! Will get back to you soon!
Cool. Talk to you soon.@@sla31
This is a really abnormal approach into lax. Usually flights from the west coast north of lax make the left turn just north of lax, and do a 180-degree right turn into lax.
@liamcheval7601 I don’t think weather was an issue lol. The video clearly shows is being a clear, sunny day. As someone used to live in cali before and does fly through la a lot, this approach is extremely rare unless you are a cargo plane.
Great fly! What did your wife say about this all 13 flights?
Not much, just wanted to know when I'd be home haha.
this vid was uploaded 2 months ago after the 747 was retired and this video is proof the 747 still is alive cause when the plane lands at 1:25:54 you can see one
Well, the 747 isn't fully retired. They still fly for several passenger airlines and for many cargo airlines. Lufthansa, Korean Air, and Air China all still operate passenger 747's. Thanks for watching my friend!
A bit of smog that day.
Just a bit. Thanks for watching!
👍
When did they say the boarding door is now closed and very straps standby for allcall
I honestly don't know. I don't keep track of the timestamps for the announcements. Sorry my friend!
@@sla31 it’s ok, I just like all the announcements
Show
For sure.
Flight time, I think, is off?
It was. I forgot to change it from the video I copied the template from. It's fixed now. Thanks for watching!
Aww man the other thumbnail lost
I mean, I'm going to use the other one eventually when I post the takeoff by itself, but ultimately this one had a lot more detail in, which seems to grab people's attention better.
I would have driven.
Eh 🤷🏻♂️ I’ve driven it before, flying is way better 😂.
