RV Camping in Tofino and Ucluelet

We both grew up vacationing on the east coast beaches in the Carolinas. It’s always interesting to see the different perspective of a “day at the beach” in the different areas we travel. Tofino and Ucluelet have exceptional coast lines! The sand is soft, many of the beaches are wide and the views are inspiring! These are very different from the sweltering humid beach days that drive you into the ocean or nearest pool for relief from the heat!
It is always disappointing to arrive at an epic view point only to find low visibility due to fog or weather. It is also pretty common in many of the Pacific Northwest popular locations because that is the weather this region produces.
Fog can add its own layer of beauty to a coastline and we enjoyed this trail immensely. Thankfully, we were able to take a second attempt on the Pacific Rim Trail when the skies were bright blue and clear and we can not wait for you to see that!
We were incredibly lucky with the weather for the majority of the summer and this rainy morning gave us a much needed chill morning! Do you love the sound of rain on your RV? Rain on the Airstream is like a sedative!

We are headed to Tofino this July for the first time in our Airstream so it was fun to see your video. We will definitely be going to Long Beach and see all the surfers!

Another great video! Didn’t know there was surf up there but thank you for the info! Curious if it’s possible to have a video on towing the Airstream with the GMC 2500? Would love to hear how the Airstream tows and how you guys like the GMC 3/4 ton truck to tow it.

Yes! Jim can do that. BUT…we have a 3500 One Ton. We would actually love to downsize the truck at some point because we don’t have big fifth wheels anymore and yet….we LOVE that truck. We’ve put 100,000 miles on it in 3 years and 3 months so we will probably keep it until it dies at this point! (Especially with the prices of trucks these days).

@@lifebetweentheditches1307 Trucks are a crazy price, so are trailers LOL. If you have the chance to try a small truck before buying I do suggest that. I have friends that have downsized because their towing requirements had downsized and they all say the same thing, the lighter truck is a lot less stable when towing. They have all gone back to the bigger truck. There's a lot of life left in your truck.
