- Even during the best of times - you will have challenging days! If you are easily thrown off balance then RV life is not for you….and that’s OK!
If this is the kind of day that you know in the moment that you will look back and laugh at in the future, then get your RV and get out there.
We look back and laugh now but we were completely running on fumes at this point. On a bright note, look at this incredible rain forest setting located next to a hot springs resort that we have to rest, restore and recover in! It doesn’t get much better than that.
If you have plans of staying in the Sol Duc Hot Springs area (which we do highly recommend) then know ahead of time you will have zero service for about 30-40 minutes in either direction. That can actually be quite refreshing these days but it’s very helpful to know before you go!
Travel day stories….we all have them - let’s hear yours!
As a backup I screenshot all my reservations and in my phone calendar I mark the campground and site number.
Yesss! We do that too! Except for when we don’t 🤣 We planned this stretch 7 months in advance and had about a 10 day run where we didn’t screen shot anything. Who knows what distracted us?
I love the way you two roll with the punches, I enjoy watching your videos please keep it up.
It’s a blessing to live like this. Our worst days are still a luxury compared to many people’s best days. Can’t get too upset over bumps in the road. Thank you!! ❤️
love the quote at the end, such good attitudes!! At least it wasn't at night! Thank you for the good point of prepare for.no internet....will remember that.
We have no idea why we didn’t think about it advance when we clearly know better 🙃
So frustrating! But you kept your cool and sense of humor.
Getting to travel this way is such a blessing! Our travel struggles are still so much better than most problems so we so try to keep perspective. But it was sooooo frustrating!
For sure! Each time something like this happens though, we learn from it. You'll never make that same mistake again. Hopefully. 😆@@lifebetweentheditches1307
Yes, always keep up with letting family know roughly where you will be for the next 2 weeks. We left Whitehorse, coming back from Alaska, and lost cell service before Watson Lake. I think it was because of the bad fires around and on the Cassiar Highway. Our family didn't know we were planning on staying several days at Muncho Lake. We thought we had time to tell them. Well, they called the Whitehorse police, when they hadn't heard from us in five days! Oops! I love how you tell it like it is! Some days are just an adventure!
Oh, noooooo! So sorry for their worry and so thankful for this laugh!!! That’s awful and hilarious!!
I guess an off grid location like that is a place for Star Link if there aren’t too many trees
Yes! It would be challenging to find an area in the Pacific Northwest that would be suitable for Starlink but we’ve never had it so we really don’t know.
You guys just over think everything! Irritating
I bet you're a blast at parties.
Hmmmm….we’ve never really thought about that. Something to think over.
