    How long did you wait after ordering? 2-3 months? 😢

    I have the same issue with the thumb of my 44. I ripped off skin just trying to break it in and had to wait another week to keep breaking it in because my thumb was ripped open.

      For sure. It’s getting better the more we break them in but it’s like the cuticle on my thumb feels like it’s going to tear after a while of wearing it. Great glove but there are some minor changes I would make personal including the placement of the stitching across your thumb.

      You are right. Quality glove but just a couple alterations. Just getting (back) into the glove game and liking 44s a lot.

    Were you wearing it two in the middle finger or are the finger stalls odd

    • @BaseballRittner
      @BaseballRittner  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Indeed two in the middle for me. I know it’s odd but always how I preferred to wear a middle infield glove.

    I have the same problem on the thumbs of some of my gloves. Beat the outside of the thumb on the welting with a mallet and it’ll soften up on your thumb

    i have a rawlings 10.5 harvey haddix the kitten glove and a 11.5 wilson jim catfish hunter glove. i bought both not knowing they were pitchers gloves. i bought them because they fit my hand and i liked the construction of both of them. i thought that was a good reason to buy them. the harvey haddix glove is of course the older one. i have an old baseball with a real hide cover and raised stitches. i do not think i will ever play with it. too valuable. if i bought a new glove in todays world i would have to spend months trying to figure out if i bought the right one or not. too much information to go through.

    Hi love the review
    a quick question! how s the mint leather quality compared to conventional colors like black?

    • @BaseballRittner
      @BaseballRittner  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It is holding up very good and feels like quality stuff. Of course the lighter the color, the quicker its going to show marks/dirt which may be harder to clean but I love it so far. Later this year I will make a follow up to those gloves. Thanks for the question!

      I got one when they first started so my glove isn’t the best, but as far as leather, it’s still pretty good and stiff, I’ve heard the leather has gotten a lot better too

      I’ve had mine for about 2 years and it’s still sorta stiff. Just gotta treat the glove right and it will hold up.

      Imo its great leather. Ive had mine for about 3 and 1/2 years and its holding up fine. The only thing wrong with it is that the lace on the palm popped and the spot where your pointer finger goes is starting to wear a little bit. Im pretty confident that if i got it relaced it would last me another 2 years

      I prefer Rawlings heart of the hide or Wilson A2000. Their leather is nice and buttery while the 44 feel dry, stiff, vinyl like. Just my opinion

    If you want a good glove go with Wilson either an A2000 or A2K, second choice a Rawlings.

      300 plus for a wilson a2k or 185 for a fully cistom kip leather glove ? Sure Wilson's are great but bang for your buck?

    Do you know how to keep the fur inside a glove clean? Can’t wait for the video!

    • @BaseballRittner
      @BaseballRittner  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I actually have the moisture wicking material in this one that I’m using. No fur so I am unsure on that question.
