Game dev is 100% more complicated then people think it is, the fact these game have so many different things going on all on one live service thing is honestly mental. People would be shocked at the random stuff that can just brake other parts of games that on the surface you would not think are connected at all, Destiny 2 Talesto is one of the funniest examples of a weapon just due to the coding on the bolts its broken in game or broken something else in game 38 times. All because they needed to be coded "like" an enemy the moment that needs to be tested against hundreds of different scenarios that you cant do without alot of people using it well, thats how you get 38 cases of it braking stuff haha.

@pureisepic3035 i had massive spikes in ping and desync (bad enough to notice in Zombies) and whenever I would activate one, my frames would drop like a rock for at least the first half of the shorter tokens, even in the menus.

Something I also like about directed mode is that they still allow you to get the intel (Well, most. Not the artifacts from sidequest). So even during rounds you can take your time to explore the map and be rewarded for it. And hey, I even found Miller ! If you go close to the door of the fried chicken restaurant you can sometimes hear her sobbing.
Treyarch actually has stated that they're bring back the xp token usage of ones earned in prior games later and has said to use them in on Warzone and come back to BO6 to allow you to utilized them without issue. However, they said it was for some reason causing stability issues which seems odd.
@@Quackra it may sound odd but I’ve seen what they have talked about and heard from others that had the same problem. Sometimes when activating the token it has caused games too crash. I’ve dealt with it and it ain’t fun.

@@Dinho1020 still better in normal as there’s a lot more once u get to round 35 which takes 35 mins save and quit after each time killing the mangalers only then u have 5 or 6 a round much easyer on direct mode took me 2 hours to do 30 and normal mode a lot less 30mins
A way easier way is to get a friend, go into directed terminus play the egg until directly after the Nathan fight. After that, get the round cap maxed out (THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT). Then go to the shipwreck, have you friend go into the bottom of the ship while you sit on the ladder. Have your friend start the fight in the bottom then have your friend go down and full die. Then you get off the ladder, drive to the beach sit on the beach for around 4 minutes. Have your friend then leave. Zombies should then unlimitedly spawn. Go all the way back to the beamsmasher room and farm the zombies in the window
As another fellow player who loved bo4 Zombies, especially chaos because it was refreshing and new. I am glad zombies and multiplayer have separate damages, i remember in the bo4 lifecycle where it was the same all around and the best shotgun in the game (MOG 12) got nerfed into the ground in MP, and that carried over to zombies. it sucked to grind it for dark matter in zombies because it was so weak. It also effected zombie EE runs too or strats because of the big nerf. I am glad it's separate in this game.
I am very happy there is a mode like this in Zombies. It’s not the main mode, which is fun to do with friends, but it’s there for relaxing, maybe chatting with others not on the game, or just grinding out the more annoying guns. And this would be a better "legit" way of grinding it out vs the glitches and "clever use of game mechanics" (which I also love seeing those).
I will say from my personal experience, if you use the Deadshot augment that makes the first shot on full health enemies double damage then the LR is actually easier to do in Standard than Directed (at least I found it easier like this) Also, completely unrelated, i love that you made the comparison to BO4s Casual Mode because Directed really does feel like this games version of it and we always love to see some BO4 love
While I finished the LR 7.62 beforehand just because I felt like it (no regrets, had a ton of fun with it), as soon as I seen the capped rounds but ability to keep going at that round, I knew I was going to run the GS45 finishing at least its military camos within directed.
I just did gs45.. what I did was go to road 11. Kill 200. Took an hour break And so on, Yes it took me a few hours but it was easier than anything else I tried.
Same! Just FYI: once you finish all 2000 crit kills, do not Pack-a-Punch until after you get your 300 hip fire kills. They, for some reason, will not count if you do...found that one out the hard way 🥲
Ive definitely been using the bank roof round 11 cap to get the annoying weapons done and getting through the insane crit kill requirements! It takes around 80-90 minutes per weapon for me to do the 2000 kills, and once set up with all the essence and salvage, it's just a case of wall buying or mystery boxing the next weapon, which you can immediately upgrade to PAP2/purple which is plenty. Rinse repeat. Yup it's a little tedious and somewhat boring. Throw in the tactical/lethal/field upgrade masteries as well. But 33 weapons at say 90 mins a weapon, thats still a good month to get through for a casual player. Then add some some to go back for the mastery stuff... and if you are playing some MP/Warzone too, it adds more time. There is deffo no rush to have all of this done in the first 3 weeks and spend 11 month complaining about having nothing to do :P
Hey Doughnut, i was wondering what’s your opinion about bo6 having a lack of zombies combat record compared to how great the one we had in cold war? you think this deserves more attention?
My optimization for this weapon is run the alleys until you have about 50 zombies, then you run out towards the church door and shoot back in starting once you pass by the first set of benches. Once your back is against the house directly out of the door, go left down the line and shoot until you hit the hill. By then you knock out about 80% or more of them. Walk back through the doors and clean house as they line back up.
If you're not buying pack-a-punch, run left through the bowling alley, then use the cable to get to the bank roof. Level 7 cap, all perks, and the ability to upgrade rarity to legendary and apply ammo mods. Its also an easy way to get the challenge of all 8 perks before level 10 while playing solo
I feel like you get better gobble gums in directed mode but it’s probably my luck just finally hitting some ultra rares. Got a bunch in the first week then maybe 2 after
For Liberty Falls you can open any the doors except the ones leading to the church/cemetery area and it will stay capped at round 7. at that round you dont even need PAP guns and ammo is still cheap. once you open the area around the church it goes up to 9, and when you open the church itself it goes to 11.
I already got my LR 7.62 to Opal before Guided Mode released, but it definitely makes it a little easier, but my personal recommendation for the LR is to go to Round 7 at the highest and then once you've done your headshot camos then to go higher as 1 shotting armored zombies to the head doesn't count as a headshot.
I did my lr head shots running circles outside the cafeteria/mess hall thing on terminus then running then along that cat walk right outside the building so they lined up really nice.
I have a game going with like 15k kills and I've finished 6 guns so far along with all of my lethal, tactical and field upgrade mastery to diamond haha.
Grab deadshot ASAP and it's easy mode. Gotta love it! The spawn is my main place to train in the guided mode. I finished 2 guns and have around 300k so time to hit the mystery box and start some new weapons
By any chance, have you done any testing for the FMJ attachment? Like whether it increases damage to armored zombies or increases bullet penitration for snipers and such.
my take on camo grind is I actually have more fun on an easy grind with an exploit than something like Guided Mode where its easy by intention. I'll definitely use Guided Mode for the frankly shitty weapons but I'll probably stick to regular for the regular stuff
I feel like, instead of lowering the Mangler spawns, they upped it.... I just finished a solo run on round 32. And I had in that one round 2 Abominations and SIX Manglers !!!!! My highest round I pushed solo was 38 before Season 1 and I cant remember the spawns were that crazy -.-
According to Milo, Treyarch has stated they’re working on adding the legacy tokens to bo6 again and had to remove them for stability reasons. They’ve encouraged players to use the WZ technique to use legacy tokens in bo6 for the time being Cheers
I was okay with not getting the XP tokens in Black ops 6 but when they showed they were available to used then it makes sense that they would give him back.
I was looking for something to watch while I grinded this gun. I did all of my AR opals and the other 2 Sniper Golds in this saved game. I currently have 35k salvage and 500k points
Staying on 11 and using 1 gun for opal and a new gun for gold has been getting crazy progress for me. I'll be pissed if they stop progress in this mode on guns. I did the gs45 to gold in 1 game
ngl because this removes the need for armour and has no annoying projectile zombies its actually abit more engaging than the base game rn, yes its wayy too easy just being stuck at round 15 but at least the damage the zombies do stays where it should be and I can spend hours killing thousands of zombies rather then a horde of 8 manglers on round 100 that eat 10 refills worth of ammo. Its not perfect by any means but definitely an improvement over the base game, I just pray they add that classic mode

On the roof leaving all doors and zips closed except the graveyard zip line. All zombies spawn on one end currently working on shotgun crits with smg secondary for mangler kills for opal. My saved game has 8K kills so far.
They just announced that they wont be fixing the warzone trick, and will be makeing a way to activate the legacy tokens like normal in a future update.
Treyarch said the warzone method is intentional and are allowing it. Kind of like a “we’re sorry for taking the tokens away so here’s another way to use them”
I've had the same directed mode save going for a few days now. I jump into it for an hour or two a day grind a gold and opal then save & quit when i'm bored the go back to it later.
Honestly, I found playing through rounds normally to be best for the LR 7. Just throw on a reflex or iron sights then keep upgrading the rarity. It’s still a fair grind but, even still only about 2 round 32/33ish runs. Otherwise director mode zombies are just way too slow
Same for GS45s. Except I found they work well without akimbo and putting on dead wire with that argument that turns it into a huge lightning strike. Insta kills suck with it but, otherwise that lightning strike never kills zombies. Just always consistently stunning a whole horde. So it makes headshots and getting points much easier
Funny how people begged for round based zombies. Having a round cap is basically like the world tiers from outbreak and mwz and people now love this for grinding.
Adding on do not finsh the easter egg, to the first aether canister then open the entire map (execpt for the door behind the bowling alley, and your free to grind mangler kills

Ngl Donuts I used this sniper in director mode for a little over an hour and got 1300 headshots, but it felt sooo boring and tedious, I’m switching to standard mode for the rest, I know it makes it harder for myself but it’s more enjoyable that way Update. R 11 will always spawn mangler. R 12-14 have 50% chance for mangler. R 15 never will spawn a mangler. R11 has about 25 zombies R15 has 44 zombies. Hope this helps
All these new ways to camo grind and here I am already done with the camo grind. Wtf. I mean at least IV gotten it done but would have been nice to have a easy time doing it
Being able to use XP tokens from previous CODs is unfair in terms of battle pass tokens. I have a limited time to play this season and being able to double my progress would mean I'd be twice as efficient. With weapon and normal double XP I don't reallt care since i can just level weapons in zombies, although it's still an advantage to have one instead.
I have an easier way of getting headshots with the LR7. Just flick up to the head on controller. Same with mouse. Go up to round 25 (no pap, just upgrade) then exfil. Rinse and repeat.
They should leave it this way. My Dad is playing Zombies now because he can do things and surviving for once. So for many players I’m sure they like Zombies and enjoy it being more chill in this Mode.
If I had to guess, Treyarch probably didn’t intend this to be used like this. So my guess is they’ll add a patch that will change how directed mode works. Likely they’ll add a progress timer once you hit the round cap and you have to progress the Easter egg to have the timer reset. I really hope they don’t as it’s the only way to 1. Casually enjoy zombies 2. Do the camo challenges. We wouldn’t need to use this for all guns if high rounds on standard mode weren’t so difficult.
@@kwisatzhaderach999 on liberty you can have a mangler spawn every round, terminus has faster spawns using the beamsmasher room save and quit trick. So if you need mangler kills for opal or elite kills for afterlife you should do the repeat round 14 trick on liberty and spawn in an HVT every round
i believe they patched it regarding manglers on round 11. I was getting 1 mangler every round 11. Now i played 10 times the round and no manglers spawned......... Edit: No they did not patch it. It's just the stupid game that decided not to spawn manglers for 10 rounds. After i saved and exit and restarted, i have again manglers every game
This is not remotely the best way to grind the sniper. The best way is to stand on the edge of the desk in the bank and the zombies all funnel from one direction and you don’t even need to move.

Round 15 in liberty falls does not spawn elite or manglers. So if you want opal, stop on round 11 so you can get manglers.

Why its easier in normal? Wonderfix machine is there round 1 plus lower hp zombies, barely any armored ones etc.

I’m doing all of my pistols in guided mode. Not gonna suffer with the 9mm pea shooter in round 20+ 😂😂

From my own experience, interestingly I found if you get 1,000,000+ points save and leave. You will come back with 999,999 points

Heartbreaking! It's got other great things like badges and that acts somewhat like a combat record, but man I would kill for a more polished record

I was looking for something to watch while I grinded this gun. I did all of my AR opals and the other 2 Sniper Golds in this saved game. I currently have 35k salvage and 500k points

Staying on 11 and using 1 gun for opal and a new gun for gold has been getting crazy progress for me. I'll be pissed if they stop progress in this mode on guns. I did the gs45 to gold in 1 game
ngl because this removes the need for armour and has no annoying projectile zombies its actually abit more engaging than the base game rn, yes its wayy too easy just being stuck at round 15 but at least the damage the zombies do stays where it should be and I can spend hours killing thousands of zombies rather then a horde of 8 manglers on round 100 that eat 10 refills worth of ammo. Its not perfect by any means but definitely an improvement over the base game, I just pray they add that classic mode

Not sure what happened to my original comment but Treyarch said they are gonna give em back. I wonder if will be able to go to Cold War and complete daily challenges for more XP tokens to use in BO6 when they give us our tokens back. That would be epic.
On the roof leaving all doors and zips closed except the graveyard zip line. All zombies spawn on one end currently working on shotgun crits with smg secondary for mangler kills for opal. My saved game has 8K kills so far.
They just announced that they wont be fixing the warzone trick, and will be makeing a way to activate the legacy tokens like normal in a future update.
Treyarch said the warzone method is intentional and are allowing it. Kind of like a “we’re sorry for taking the tokens away so here’s another way to use them”
Ngl I'd rather grind out the akimbo for the mustang and sally in the early rounds/ insta kill opps. But y'all do what's fun for you
I've had the same directed mode save going for a few days now. I jump into it for an hour or two a day grind a gold and opal then save & quit when i'm bored the go back to it later.
Honestly, I found playing through rounds normally to be best for the LR 7. Just throw on a reflex or iron sights then keep upgrading the rarity. It’s still a fair grind but, even still only about 2 round 32/33ish runs. Otherwise director mode zombies are just way too slow
Same for GS45s. Except I found they work well without akimbo and putting on dead wire with that argument that turns it into a huge lightning strike. Insta kills suck with it but, otherwise that lightning strike never kills zombies. Just always consistently stunning a whole horde. So it makes headshots and getting points much easier

Funny how people begged for round based zombies. Having a round cap is basically like the world tiers from outbreak and mwz and people now love this for grinding.
Little tip for anyone grinding opal round 15 will not spawn manglers so if your grinding opal stay on round fourteen
How do you stay on 14 the cap seemed to go from 11 to 15 unless I did one additional step?

Adding on do not finsh the easter egg, to the first aether canister then open the entire map (execpt for the door behind the bowling alley, and your free to grind mangler kills
because of the xp tokens just go in warzone activate the token go back to bo6 zombies the xp token still is enabled and is going to work i think its just bugged to be fair
I'll never understand how people choose to use scopes on the snipers in zombies when you get irons
Just to let you know but not blowing your head up, all game companies usually watch TH-camrs a lot more than you think, including you bro bro. You and other call of duty TH-camrs are the middlemen ( and women ) between us as the everyday consumer and the everyday gamer.

Ngl Donuts I used this sniper in director mode for a little over an hour and got 1300 headshots, but it felt sooo boring and tedious, I’m switching to standard mode for the rest, I know it makes it harder for myself but it’s more enjoyable that way

Could’ve sworn they said the sprint reload thing is a setting
R 11 will always spawn mangler. R 12-14 have 50% chance for mangler. R 15 never will spawn a mangler.
R11 has about 25 zombies
R15 has 44 zombies.

Round 11 for me has about 35 zombies. I usually get about 31 to 35 headshots per round

All these new ways to camo grind and here I am already done with the camo grind. Wtf. I mean at least IV gotten it done but would have been nice to have a easy time doing it
if you want to sprint and reload, you have to go on the Settings
Just a heads up, you CANNOT continue to farm on round 15 as this is the round cap limit for the entire mode. Once 15 is finished the game does end
Did you see the video? I was able to return to round 11 and then complete a fake round 11 and save and quit again 😁 does that not work on round 15?

Being able to use XP tokens from previous CODs is unfair in terms of battle pass tokens. I have a limited time to play this season and being able to double my progress would mean I'd be twice as efficient. With weapon and normal double XP I don't reallt care since i can just level weapons in zombies, although it's still an advantage to have one instead.
I have an easier way of getting headshots with the LR7. Just flick up to the head on controller. Same with mouse.
Go up to round 25 (no pap, just upgrade) then exfil. Rinse and repeat.
If you pick with the sniper your going to get fire rate faster
huh funny im currently grinding my last two guns listening to this lol been 6 hours and got 3 others done...
also the kills break and dont save to the in game leader board past 14999 kills
They should leave it this way. My Dad is playing Zombies now because he can do things and surviving for once. So for many players I’m sure they like Zombies and enjoy it being more chill in this Mode.
If I had to guess, Treyarch probably didn’t intend this to be used like this. So my guess is they’ll add a patch that will change how directed mode works. Likely they’ll add a progress timer once you hit the round cap and you have to progress the Easter egg to have the timer reset. I really hope they don’t as it’s the only way to 1. Casually enjoy zombies 2. Do the camo challenges. We wouldn’t need to use this for all guns if high rounds on standard mode weren’t so difficult.

What is better for camo grinding directed mode. Liberty falls or terminus?
@@kwisatzhaderach999 on liberty you can have a mangler spawn every round, terminus has faster spawns using the beamsmasher room save and quit trick. So if you need mangler kills for opal or elite kills for afterlife you should do the repeat round 14 trick on liberty and spawn in an HVT every round

i believe they patched it regarding manglers on round 11. I was getting 1 mangler every round 11. Now i played 10 times the round and no manglers spawned.........
Edit: No they did not patch it. It's just the stupid game that decided not to spawn manglers for 10 rounds. After i saved and exit and restarted, i have again manglers every game

This is not remotely the best way to grind the sniper. The best way is to stand on the edge of the desk in the bank and the zombies all funnel from one direction and you don’t even need to move.
You can see I do try that, but get easily overwhelmed with all the zombies at once and lack of bullet penetration of the sniper!
