Good job! I used to do that in the Army with tanks and heavy vehicles as a track commander on an M-88A1. Nice work with the block and tackle. Some recoveries take a lot of patients and extra prep-work.
A 4' farm jack works very well. I use two of them and lift the vehicle up out of the holes the wheels are in. Then place material in the holes "under the tires" (wood planks work great but still fill the holes in) and dig the mound of mud out of the way. Do this on all 4 wheels, then lower and drive off without so much drama.
Nice recovery as always - you really have to give that guy some credit for his tow points, those sure are SOLID! Front ends looks like it is 8 lug - but could be a 44 under there sporting bigger outers... Looking forward to the run in two weeks - hopefully I can avoid the hood this time :D
wow man this one worked ya pretty hard! not bad for big truck..but rough on u ! strap on strap off! great job just not tearing nothing up..thanks to the girls for fiming
Those look like the OEM(not that year, obviously) Ford tow loops. I had heard bad things about them, but if they can hold that, they must be pretty well built.
You should've also tied the front winch to a sturdy tree to help hold the front of the wrecker down and in place. If it's possible, you should try installing a set of hydraulic spade type out riggers on the back corners of your wrecker so you can put them down and they'll dig into the ground to help even better anchor your wrecker in place during these really tough pulls.
Well looks like the answer to the question have you ever given up on getting someone unstuck out of the mud is no I'm gathering.. I'm sitting here listening to that tow cable and winch wine wincing wondering if it's going to snap lol. Oh and as some of the other post suggested a shovel would have definitely sped this up, I mean just on that rear drivers side tire would have worked wonders, I'm sure you know this and there wasn't a shovel present to do that in the first place.
Really need to get a shovel,or two onboard to dig out behind the non powered tires in the future...Makes recovery go much faster as well as easier on the equipment in situations such as this,,,,
Always 2 take two chain blocks 750 kg 3 metre reach and a 2000kg with a 3 metre reach and a few wire cables and tow strops chains you can put the chain block up the tree for pull on angles or electric 9000kg double pull may be a little slow but it works
first thing that i would of done to make it less stress on your points, would,ve been to dig some of the mud away from the tyres now that would of been the first thing do that next time and watch how easy it will winch back.
WOuld he take a $ 50.00 Bill if someone offered it to him? He's got a lot of time and money in that old beater. He's a good rigger when it comes to safety. I don't like the non protected rear window in the wrecker. I've seen block and tackle come flying through the windows, many times injuring occupants. I love these videos.....myself and my LW use to 4 wheel in Central Kentucky 4 days a month for 5 years. Seen it all.
Why don't you help dig him out with some shovels first instead? I mean it is a little harder probably but you don't run the risk of breaking things when you do that if you would of dug him out with shovels first it would of been a ton easier to get him out...
orrrr.. you could just answer the mans questions jeez... you were here, typing, talking to him.... why not? love your job and what you guys do but please tell the narrator to hush.
Damned glad the Bronco guy had the forethought to put some serious hook up points on his rig unlike some of these amateurs on the trails.
my new reality show, only kiddin, much better than ANY reality TV out there, SUBBED!!
I just sat with my 2yo son watching this. He loves trucks and tractors.
Recovery time spent on this one was about an hour and 45 min

He does it for FREE guys watch his other videos . Seems like a cool guy
Free? Um, not quite. He gets invited to these events and doesn't have to pay.
Nah man he shouldn't change anything, I love the family run kinda feel that this recovery crew has. Don't hate tha guy!
@bsf off-froad: for a light duty tow truck y'all sure get the job done hell yeah
what you should have done was...... how many time have you heard that one? hahaha good job guys!

wow man this one worked ya pretty hard! not bad for big truck..but rough on u ! strap on strap off! great job just not tearing nothing up..thanks to the girls for fiming

Impressive job.
It was a big hassle but you guys did a good job.

But does the wrecker ever get stuck ?

The suction of mud is amazing.

Really need to get a shovel,or two onboard to dig out behind the non powered tires in the future...Makes recovery go much faster as well as easier on the equipment in situations such as this,,,,
You guys are the experts but I imagine just a little shovel work really would have sped that up a lot.
wow thanks 4 the cool upload
Awesome!
So how much do you charge a guy for a extreme tow like this that takes so much effort...?
I think for free
props for seat cover,,,,if it wasent for her,,,we wouldent have these vivs,,,,thanks
Thanx Eric.
I hope you and your great team get some beer from the bronco owner when you was back in camp :) How much time took the whole recovery?

Very nice, so how long did the guy try to get out without your help before you arrived?
yall tweaked the hell out of that truck.....
How much did this cost to recover???
Rob A BSF Doesn't charge for recoveries.
Lol.... Fords... haven't even got this Bronco out and there's another one broken coming over the radio, in need of rescue. 😆

Good video thanks
Eric why do you always use the clevis hooks when you could just hook the cable to the hook loops that are attached the frame of the Bronco?
Yall go HARD
Great job
That one awesome recker
What a tow job like this cost !!!!!!
He does it for free
Whoohoo! I love this shit
do you have a wheel spacer in the back of the GMC?
CoOoL Ed!ting

Holy stuck
Bronco was 1 wheel drive?
How do I contact u I got stuck in a trail a wile back an it took two days to get it out by hand snapped the winch line
where are these trails?????
you need swampers on the wrecker
its a bronco, it takes a lot for them to get stuck
Did not seem that stuck, have to deal with that type of mud and sunken 4x4s a few times a month, takes a few minutes. :-)
first thing that i would of done to make it less stress on your points, would,ve been to dig some of the mud away from the tyres now that would of been the first thing do that next time and watch how easy it will winch back.
What's the price for a recovery? Why aren't these guys getting a winch? :P
WOuld he take a $ 50.00 Bill if someone offered it to him? He's got a lot of time and money in that old beater. He's a good rigger when it comes to safety. +GTFORDMAN No, But I will have to watch the movie again, I didn't know I look like him.
How much was this recovery? Hourly rate or flat fee?
Free
Why don't you help dig him out with some shovels first instead? I mean it is a little harder probably but you don't run the risk of breaking things when you do that if you would of dug him out with shovels first it would of been a ton easier to get him out...
A double winch would have been ideal on the stump
What was so bad?
Are you sure it was a bronco and not a mule you know sometimes it came up the same assembly line
its not a lock rear end and in 2wd
How much do you make a day
No charge for the recoveries, when I am at a event.
recoveryteam wow I had a local guy charge me $75 for a tow that was only a mile and a half on a nicely paved road.
why don't any of the other wheels turn is it broke or just a p.o.s
broke said it in part 1
Broke and a p.o.s
Why would he drive it in that.??

Years ago, I operated a wrecker..this recovery was entertaining, but, really? It just shows how inept some people that own a business can be..
Always someone that thinks they are smarter
Recovery time spent on this one was about an hour and 45 min
