Thanks for your video, I have a question. I bought a Chinese Poc radio and Google Play won't let me download anything. It gives me error 910. I've followed many tutorials to fix it and nothing. Do you have any idea what could be happening? Thanks 73
Possibly a compatibility issue, if the Android OS version may be too old for the app you’re attempting to download. I would first try to sideload the app by apk directly. You can find tutorials on how to sideload and sources of apk direct downloads.
@@K5YVY Thanks for answering, I already solved it, the manufacturer sent me a code to download the app, it was solved, now I downloaded TeamSpeak 3 and the speaker doesn't work, I can only listen with the headphones, the FM radio through Zello works well, do you think there could be a hidden menu to activate the speaker option? When I turn on the hands-free, the reception works, but the PTT goes off, it only opens the carrier and my voice doesn't come out, very strange... what do you think could be happening?
@@iguanachannel4113 that is very strange, I wonder if the code you were given changed firmware settings beyond just the ability to download. I agree that it sounds like this is related to the software and not hardware, but unfortunately I don’t have any knowledge myself of a service menu, although it’s likely to have one as most electronics do. Sorry I couldn’t be a help.
Well I know they are attending a expo all next week, but I’ve also heard from another viewer that after making contact about purchasing, they ask many questions. It’s my understanding TID is in the market for industry and don’t appear to be set up to take individual consumer orders. That said, there are many other brand PoC radios in the market that you can set up to work the same way I’ve demonstrated, if you have no luck with TID, shop around 👍 thanks for letting me know. I’ll reach out to my contact to see about consumer purchasing.
Something tells me that if these get real popular and the cell networks get bulletproof reliable with backups and generators etc . All the free apps to use them with will go paid subscription, sadly
Sadly I've seen that happen many times, something starts out free, gets popular then moves to a subscription. Some of the apps I have tried actually cost money through the respective play store, but by downloading the .apk file directly lot of time you can still find them for free. But then again, that don't prevent the app from going subscription based if it has any sever side data to it.
I NEED HELP, I need to find 2 or more Long range 2 way radio walkie talkies!!! I need them just incase while we go to work and excavate some land that we are going to buy, just incase the Cell phones do work....If I needed to run to a lumber yard or what ever, not trying to interrupt anyone... I know if I ever say one word, someone is going to report me, just to connect with the Wife for a brief moment....Before years ago I tried to listen in and there was nothing ever except two people identifying them selves and ask where each other was located then............silence.....................just boring waste to be honest!!! With the high cost of everything, they should allow people to talk freely, so many channels... Except for the Police channel(s) I can understand that if its reserved for them!!!
Sounds like you need something that does not rely on internet or cellular for sure. For License free or $35 License, I would recommend some of the GMRS radio's I have previously reviewed, the TidRadio GM5R comes to mind, it has a bigger antenna, bigger battery, and includes FRS (license free) channels, and if you wanted to use the GMRS channels you can just fill out the form, pay the $35, and that one license covers your family, so no need for Testing or multiple licenses. The Ham bands are what I consider delicate, those bands have many different uses from just enjoying a radio chat, competitive contesting, to providing a service for different events/situations, to experimentation with Radio Frequency, to many other uses, some of those bands are shared with military. If they excluded license requirements for the ham bands, it would quickly fill up and be congested beyond the scope of it's intentions. License helps ensure users are aware and educated of the many uses. PS with the GMRS radios, you could even go as far as setting up your own repeater in your area for even more extended range :)
pretty slick - get on your repeater even if you're out of RF range.
😎 that’s right
Excellent video Hank Hill
Bobby!
Thanks JB. I didn't think it had much use but you're right, giving you more options is agood thing.🤔👍
Thanks Don, they have became regular use around my shack 👍
Good stuff! Lots of capability from that little radio.
Very cool!

Gotcha. Yea I’ve been looking at a couple of others on Amazon that are similar. May get one of them instead.
Lot of the ones I seen might even come with Zello and the ability to install apps natively from the radio.
What is function of aprsdroid???, sorry i'm very confuse & not speak english with perfect.
AprsDroid is a app that displays APRS.fi data and also allows you to send your position data to the online aprs.fi network.
@@K5YVY OK my brother thank's for information & attention 🙏.
Would this be considered a Gas station HT? LOL 73
