    I bought this trailcam based solely upon this review. It has more than met my expectations. I use it as a remote property monitor and it works just as you describe. Battery life is tremendous, photo quality is excellent and video quality is better than expected. I too have found the volume to be too low on the recording. I like the placement of the SDHC card which makes swapping the card easy without having to remove the cam from its mount. I liked and subscribed, thanks for giving an excellent easy to understand review that covered all the bases!

    Hi, Thanks for the helpful review. Do the batteries recharge through the USB cable or do you need a separate charger?

    • @HuntingFarmerOfficial

      The batteries do not charge through the usb. If you use rechargeable batteries you will need to remove them and use an external charger to charge them. Thanks for watching my review 👍

    You mentioned that there are a couple of other manufacturers that have perfected the audio from a waterproof housing. Audio is important to my application. Would you mind sharing which game cameras have good quality audio? Thanks!

    • @HuntingFarmerOfficial
      @HuntingFarmerOfficial  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks for watching! The Bestguarder 30mp camera has awesome audio (but is a bit pricey) I also use the Primos Proof cams and their audio is better than the Victure. I’m currently testing a Tovendor camera that also has crystal clear audio. Hope this helps. If you have other questions I’ll try to help where I can!! 👍

    Dave, have you modifed any of the cases so that you can open the door with external power (solar) connected and if so, have you had any issies doing so? Seems to me you could cut the casing a little to allow this with no harm. Love your videos btw! Thanks

    I purchased this camera and I like how easy it is to set up. I put in the 8 AA batteries and within 24 hours my batteries were dead. I have it set up as video 30 seconds & pictures. All I can figure is a limb with leaves triggered the video. I changed the batteries & put the camera in different area. I hope this fixes the battery problem

    • @HuntingFarmerOfficial
      @HuntingFarmerOfficial  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks for watching. That is definitely unusual. This has been one of the best battery life cameras I own. I do only use Energizer lithium batteries (which gives longer battery life in my opinion). 👍

    i tested this cam last year too, the poor excuse for 940nm leds was the deal breaker for me, virtually no distance, it had worst illumination of any no glow cam i have tested.

    • @HuntingFarmerOfficial
      @HuntingFarmerOfficial  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I would agree the night illumination is not that great compared to some other cams. It is definitely a budget camera for a reason. 😁

    What are the best settings for birds on my feeder. PIR sensitivity etc. And can this be set for night time or daytime only?

    • @HuntingFarmerOfficial
      @HuntingFarmerOfficial  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks for watching. You should be fine to put the sensitivity on medium or low. I’ll have to check my hc300 (it’s out in the woods) to see if it has the ‘work time’ settings. If it does you will be able to have the camera active only certain times of the day.

    All Victure trail cams HC200/300/400/600 share the same CMOS sensor. It has only 5 Mpix native resolution. The 12/16/20 MPix are just extrapolated images. You'd better shoot at 5 MPix and increase the size with your prefered imaging software/app, the result will be far better and you will save a lot of memory.

    • @HuntingFarmerOfficial
      @HuntingFarmerOfficial  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks for the info. Are there any manufacturers who make a trail camera with a larger than 5mp native resolution??

    could the 12 volt solar be split to use as 6 volt?

    • @HuntingFarmerOfficial
      @HuntingFarmerOfficial  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      They make voltage reducers that can take 12v and drop it to 6v. I use them regularly. Keep in mind the reducer does consume some power even when the camera isn’t but my panels seemed to be oversized enough to compensate for the constant voltage draw of the reducer coupled with the camera usage. 👍

    We have bought this camera. We have a great deal of trouble getting the AA batteries out of the unit. In fact, a few won't even come out. Has anyone else had this issue?

    • @HuntingFarmerOfficial

    Great video. Thank you for sharing. Question: Since you didn't see much difference between the 720p and 1080p video quality....would you just keep it on 720p to save on memory card space? Your thoughts?

    • @HuntingFarmerOfficial
      @HuntingFarmerOfficial  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      I hadn’t really thought about that. I am still running that cam 24/7 and I have it on 1080p. I usually run 32gb cards so space isn’t a huge issue. Thanks for checking out my review! I really appreciate it 👍

    • @HuntingFarmerOfficial

    Hi, I have bought this camera on your recomendations and I am very happy with it. However, could you please advise what the 'target recording time' mode is for and when it should be used. An explanation is not in the instruction manual and I cannot figure it out, as there are already modes for video length and interval settings! Thank you!

    • @HuntingFarmerOfficial
      @HuntingFarmerOfficial  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      As far as I know (I have never used this setting) is if you want the camera to trigger at a certain time everyday. Some cameras call it “plot mode”. Like I mentioned, I have yet to use that feature so I can’t go into specifics as far as how long the target recording time lasts, etc. Hope this helps and thanks for watching my review!! 👍

      I don’t think there is a way to “turn off” the IR on the HC300. Mine is out in the woods or I’d double check the settings menu. Make sure you have good batteries! That would be the only thing I could think of that would cause black videos ( if there isn’t enough power for the IR to activate). They usually don’t like rechargeable batteries!! Did you try walking in front of the cam in the daytime? Not sure I helped any, but Victure customer service is pretty good and I’m certain they’ll make it right! 👍

    I have a Victure HC200 camera that I use fro game watching. Do you know of any way that I can check it's covering the area I want when it's 10 feet up a tree to prevent theft, rather than just pointing it towards an area and hoping that it's pointing at the right place?

    • @HuntingFarmerOfficial
      @HuntingFarmerOfficial  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      I recommend just walking back and forth in front of the camera after you have it mounted (at 10 feet) then preview the videos/pictures on the camera, then adjust from there. Takes a few extra minutes but then your sure to have the area you want covered in view. Hope this helps. 👍

      @@HuntingFarmerOfficial I found that if you put the camera on 'Test' mode and walk around the zone you wish to monitor, the red LED blinks when you break the IR beams.
