Chickens are the best little pets. We have had chickens and my favorite girl was named Dolly Parton. She died about 2 weeks ago and she was about 8 or 9 years old. I absolutely adored her. She was the last one and I had hoped she would live forever. She would follow me around when I was outside doing gardening or yard work or even if I was just out for a walk. I never knew how smart a chicken was until we got them. I also never dreamed I would get attached to a chicken. But, I did.
Thank you. Your videos made me smile after a rough day. Whenever I see something like a flower in the freezing cold, which seems odd, I always say it's my loved ones who have passed wishing me a beautiful day.
Those beautiful chickens Emma! You being followed by them! And Minkie barking & those gorgeous roses! I could watch all of that over and over! It brightens my spirit! Thank you so much! ❤❤❤
I. Also on high dose of vitamin D. 50,000 units. I take one once a week for 8 weeks. I had all the signs that you also was experiencing. Its been 2 weeks now and im feeling better. N9t 109 percent yet but much better
Hi Emma, I take Vitamin D2 once a week I’ve been taking it for years! I was taking iron supplements but they started not to work. So now I get Iron infusions once a week for 4 weeks I’m feeling better in two from now they will draw my blood again to see if my levels have improved. I have a wonderful Oncology doctor and team. My hemoglobin was very low. Those chickens really love you, they usually are afraid of people. Take care love you! 😘🤗🙏🏻
Hi Emma, I'm so glad you've got to the bottom of your problems. You won't believe how having a deficiency can be so debilitating. I have just had my bloods done, and my b12 iron is very low, and d sun every 2nd person has to take vitamins for. I take my tablets/vitamins every day and still have problems 😅 you are truly amazing with your feathered friends. I had hens years ago back in Africa, and they followed us everywhere, even into the house where we had to chase them out. I have never seen a hen attack a human, but geese and cockerals do get cheeky and peck. So love your vlogs and the different animals.
Emma I know the feeling of anxiety waiting for test results. I have the NHS app and any test results (good or bad) come up on the app and I get an email notification to let me know as well. It might or not be helpful for you to have. Sending you hugs 🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗❤️❤️❤️❤️
Good morning all from way down under 🦘🦘 Great to hear that you have such a good GP Emma, it is always an anxious time waiting for test results, i hope things start to improve for you very soon. It was a wonderful surprise to wake up on this early Monday morning to watch you and the amazing special furry friends that brighten your day. Cant wait to see what your up to next time 🌼❤
So glad your test results were good , I have to take vitamin D for bone pain ,just make sure you take vitamin k2 with vitamin D ,the Doctors don't research how inefective vitamins can be ,I researched about vit D ,and it doesn't get absorbed properly without k2 , last thing you need is more problems ❤
Emma get yourself an Air fryer they are a game changer so easy to use ,healthier way of cooking too ! Honestly you wont regret it i have the Ninja foodie XL and we use it almost every day we very rarely use our oven now , My 2 lovely fur babies Lyra &Quin ❤ made me smile today 😊, sending you much love as always sweetheart and big squishy hugs 🫂 ( Sarah ) x x x
Emma so pleased your results are not too bad I’m sure once you get those Vitamins in your body you will feel a lot better . Loved seeing your two babies & those lovely chickens all animals just love you ❤ take care ❤❤❤
Hi sweet Emma, so happy hearing you found out why you haven't been feeling so bad! It's fixable ❤ well you have plenty of groceries, good for you 😊 yummy making me hungry. Good hearing from you! ❤ I'm loving the chicken's!! My oldest day is 48 soon 49 but she's has chicken 🐔 and loves them! ❤
Glad you slowed down to get your levels checked. Here in Canada it's common to have issues without health concerns contributing. You have to keep it no lower than 45 for surgery or clotting. They found mine at 22 before finding the reasons. Hope you are doing much better by new year's and you take after the heavier meal. Love the chickens interaction.
Dear Emma, I am so glad that you got your blood levels sorted out and that you take vitamin D. A lack of vitamins in the winter months can cause severe symptoms. After all you have been through it's not surprising that you are physically and mentally exhausted. Glad to see that you are buying good food and looking after yourself. I loved seeing you talking to the hens and they loved listening to your voice. You are really good at your work. Sending you love and hugs from Normandy France ❤️
My doctor put me on vitamin D, Calcium and Magnesium and Iron. Sending my love, hugs and prayers to you Emma, Blessings that you feel better soon☮️🙏🏼✝️🕊️🥰🐾💙🐾🎀❣️❣️❣️❣️
Glad you got your bloodwork checked out and there is something you can do to correct levels. Hopefully, you’ll see a difference quickly. Lovely scenery on your drive. Love the conversation with the chickens. Quite a chatty lot. Hugs to you.
Emma , I would have thought with all the outdoor work that you do , that you would have that problem. But as we age we all need extra vitamins. 😊 love you and it will get better, but I’m glad it was nothing really serious ❤️🤗😀👋
Glad your blood work was good. I have a problem too with Vit D. It was good to see Vincent. Are those his chickens? They are nice looking chicks! Enjoy your day. Luv you! ❤🐾🐾🐇🐇
My husband has low Vitamin D and has to take those huge gel caps for a while and then take the smaller does when it gets back in the normal range. You do have a great job, nature, cute animals, and fresh air. Love You lots!❤
My granddaughter has the same and is on high dose of vitamin D and it is helping.. with all you have been through in the last year I am not surprised. Rest up when you can and look after yourself ❤❤
Emma you are so full of of love for all creatures. It's so heartwarming to watch and to see you engaging with your clients! They are all so adorable as are your own furry babies, always. I love to see them. The hens had such a lot to say and made for some fun video! Do take care with your nutrition. We post-bariatric surgery people can easily fall off the wagon with our vitamin supplements, so I'm glad to hear you're going to take extra care to take them all. No! I've never seen one of those amazon robots actually out doing its job! Only on TV anyway. What made me smile the most today was Facebook photos of my great grandson who has just enjoyed his second birthday and had afternoon tea on the Peppa Pig bus in London as a birthday treat. What it is to be two! Everything's so exciting! Of course wishing Lynn in New York a successful outcome to her surgery. Get well soon Lynn. Sending love to both Emma and you.
Thats so good you now know what you need to take to get better 🙏🏻❤️, it would be very good if everyone would get a bloodtest , Heart diagram , bloodpressure taken at lease once a year , it could prevent a lot of serious diseases the company of these sweet animals are so good for you 😍
Now that's you mention vitamin D and low iron my daughter got same symptoms as you. Best she check it out and I will let you know. Thank you. Such good news all else is great. Now you can fly and love life. ❤
Hi.. you always make food look so appealing..Glad ur bloods were good .i had exact call, needed vit d & folic acid . Feeling. Much better now. But I did take in evening, which gave me insomnia, so swapped to morning. .love how sweet u are to animals. ❤x
I have low b12, folate and vitamin D and they cause horrible symptoms even symptoms the same as ms. It makes some people wheelchair bound as they feel so ill. Hope you feel better soon xx
What made me really happy today, was for the first time,my puppy Boarder Collie walked really well with the lead,it’s took a long time and patience with it I can tell you,but I’m really happy today 😊xx
Hi Emma! Wishing Lynn blessed healing for her surgery. I'm like you! I don't take my vitamins as I should either. Had to have iron infusions so I agree with needing to take them. Hummus is so tasty right!? Your babies are so cute! You've trained the lady chickens 🐔!! So funny! I would love your job too!! Vincent is a beautiful sweetie! Have a blessed day Miss Emma 🙏...(what made me smile was my Samus gently kissing my chin to wake me..at 5am!😮😮 but she's my little old lady so I'm blessed to have her still, she can wake me anytime she wants!) XOXO-Tina in Kentucky
I also had low Vit D, it was through the floor. I was massively losing my hair, constant tiredness. I now take the Vit D tablets 50,000 unit. My hair is recovering and I feel so much better all round. I also had weight loss surgery and take post Bariatric vitamins but still had dangerously low Vit D. You are also describing fibromyalgia though Emma, which often starts following a trauma! Sound familiar? Xx
Glad you’re healthy. Take high doses of Vitamin D 5-10,000 units. I’ve had gastric bypass as well. They have specific Vitamins for us. I get mine through Bariatric Advantage. I think they ship word wide and they’re pretty cheap. Get the Ultra Solo with Iron and the Vitamin D chewables. You’ll feel much better. Our US based salad dressing is called Miracle Whip and it’s much better than Mayonnaise. 😊
Do you have b12 injections ? you should do if you have had any type of bariatric surgery, especially if your iron is low. You need to ask for your folate, ferritin and B12 to be checked also. Please have them checked Emma x
I live in Kent and have never seen those Amazon robots 😮 I also had to take high strength vitamin D one year…ever since I try to remember to take a supplement spray from October to March and find it really helps…I have it next to the kettle to try to help me remember it each morning when making a cuppa 😊
You made me smile with all of your work babies! Glad to hear that your tests came out well and that vitamins will solve what ails ya. Good news and smiles! 🥰
Enjoyed your vlog! Made me smile! Please take your vitamins. As a fellow gastric bypass patient I do try to “be good”. I’ve found that taking sub lingual (under tongue) Vit. D is really effective. I get mine at Sprouts (USA Specialty Grocery). I’ve also needed Iron to the point of needing IV therapy. I felt SO bad from the need of low vitamins. I would still have done gastric bypass and wish I had done it sooner! Had mine in 2013, lost over 130 lbs. but continue to WORK to keep it off. You look beautiful. Not to sound preachy but I continue to say prayers for you… you are amazing, my friend. I’m huge believer in the healing powers of our wonderful animals!!!! Big hugs and lots of love. ❤❤❤
Hi Emma i have had same with vitamin D. Hope you start to feel better soon. Little Minky barking at you, shes a funny lady and Dave sat with legs up is so cute 😊. How cute are those chickens, i.would love some 😊x
I’m glad that they tested you and found out your vitamin deficiencies,it’s easily treatable and you will feel so much better. I’m pre operative gastric sleeve, should be having my surgery sometime around the first of January and had my blood work done for that and discovered that I was also deficient in Vitamin D & Potassium , the Dr. got me started on the vitamins and I feel so much better, so I’m really hoping that it will for you too.
Emma, my vitamin d is low and my magnesium. Vitamin d needs magnesium to absorb so please ask your dr about taking magnesium. The vitamin d will draw magnesium from your body and can deplete that mineral.
Glad your blood work was good except for the Vitamin D. I had weight loss surgery 12 years ago and my provider put me on a high dose of vitamin D3 as well. Some days I forget to take it sometimes a few days in a row and I get so exhausted and blah. Keep taking your Vitamin D we need it extra :-) Thanks for sharing your day and those hens are so sweet, loved seeing all the fur babies they make me smile. Hugs to you Emma!
My dr. Told me to take vitamin d every day. it’s 🇨🇦 and we cover up in winter so not much sun absorption. Also I have read that it’s important to take vitamin D3 and K2. Vitamin K is important for d absorption but do your research and then ask your doc. About it. You reminded me to take mine. Sometimes it’s just once a week for me and I am very tired, so thanks for the reminder. As a veggie it’s important, and I take a food supplement to get my B vitamins too. Have also been low on iron. Loved those chicks 🐓, so cute and Vincent too. Dave and Minky were very attentive and demanding in such a cute way. 😂 🥗👋🏻
The chooks are so sweet. Good knew for your blood tests. The vitamin D doses recommended still aren't enough, most of us are deficient. A man I know has taken the supposedly correct dosage for years and a random blood test showed he was very deficient too. Also sun screens have contributed to so many not having the right levels now. If you take zinc take magnesium too as the two together boost your immunity against colds and flu. I'm just as guilty at forgetting my supplements but also trying to be better. Looking up at the sky today and seeing planes flying overhead made me smile and hope they were all heading somewhere nice. ❤❤
Hi Emma Glad ya bloods were ok 👍 I take vitamin D every day (doctors orders) like you I still have some aches and pains due to arthritis but the winter months are usually worse but keep moving luv. Ya fridge definitely looks fuller Making me hungry looking at it all It’s 8.00 am here and I’ve just had a bacon sandwich with HP sauce. Yummy 😋 These chickens are so cute Have a good day Love Kim ❤ x.
Oh those silly chicks! They are fun to watch! Take care of yourself and take your vitamins! It’s amazing how the lack of simple vitamins can cause such havoc in our bodies!! Feel better! Lots of love and a great big hug!❤
I'm so happy you got things a bit sorted now. Relax your shoulders now. Wow, thanks for the tour of the fridge, that was fun. I make my own hummus at least twice a month its so easy to make. I'm addicted to it. Minky moo has a absolute stash of toys doesnt she? Lol 😊❤ Dr. POOHLITTLE !!! Hehe
@TheDogPooPro Girl, I have 8 cans of chicky peas in mine, too. It's time to make a batch. Tahini - (sesame paste) and a few squeezes of lemon puts smack down in the dip! 😆
@TheDogPooPro I get you. I just put a little spoonful in. I'm at the bottom of the jar and not going to purchase it again because it's expensive, IMO. Plus, I don't need it to be complicated..lol.
Heck Emm, I’m short on Vit D too. I’m always tired. I do take calcium and Vit D but I don’t think it’s working. My iron is low too. Oh crud. Better take better care of ourselves lovely. ❤❤❤❤❤ listen lovely, you can rabbit on as much as you want and need to. We are here for you. Emm, even the chickens love you.
I had absolutely no Vitamin D in my blood 0- doctor never had a patient who had none -easy fix though, you get prescribed Vitamin D to take daily. Too much is bad too!😮
I don't wish to be rude but high vitamin D levels are NOT bad. What is bad is taking high doses without taking K2 which will help it get into the bones and not clog up your arteries (plus zinc and magnesium). In my experience and many others much higher doses have been found to be very very beneficial.
Low vitamin D deficiency can cause severe symptoms. I have taken Vitamin D for several years ever since I was found deficient. My doctor said low vitamin D is very common and many people are deficient and everyone should be tested. It even happens to people who get a lot of sunshine. You are at even higher risk because of your malabsorption issues. Hopefully after you have been on Vit D for awhile you will start feeling better.❤️
I'm now going to start taking vitamins coz if you I very achy so now no why. Thank you . Your lunch looked yummy . You carry on being the amazing you xxx❤❤
Em So proud of you. Keep up now with positive vibes. You will have your highs and lows, but it will even out. But you have the best job in the world being with Fur Babies every day, that is healing in itself Best Wishes Cathie❤
Emma please be aware of Chronic Fatigue Syndrome please look it up , I have it and you are explaining all the symptoms I got and was experiencing pre diagnosis trust me it’s a really awful illness which can be triggered by multiple things including ptsd and bad stress 😩😵💫
I think Dave was begging you NOT to leave LOL So glad it's only vitamins your low on ...that is easily remedied . Little Cookie looks so soft . Everytime I leave for work I go around and give my furbabies Kisses and tell them mummy will be back . XXXX
Oh Emma I love seeing the animals, I prefer animals to most humans 😂 🤍🫶🏼🤍

Glad your blood work was good except for the Vitamin D. I had weight loss surgery 12 years ago and my provider put me on a high dose of vitamin D3 as well. Some days I forget to take it sometimes a few days in a row and I get so exhausted and blah. Keep taking your Vitamin D we need it extra :-) Thanks for sharing your day and those hens are so sweet, loved seeing all the fur babies they make me smile. Hugs to you Emma!
As always so much love from NJ ❤❤❤
So glad everything is ok sweetheart ❤️🙏😘
Great to hear it was nothing serious your fur babies and chickens are so cute 🥰
🫶✨️❤️
Emma, a great UK company is Ethical Nutrition. They do a combination D3 with K2 which is wonderful! ( 4000 iu Vit D)
Hi Emma
Glad ya bloods were ok 👍
I take vitamin D every day (doctors orders) like you
I still have some aches and pains due to arthritis but the winter months are usually worse but keep moving luv.
Ya fridge definitely looks fuller
Making me hungry looking at it all
It’s 8.00 am here and I’ve just had a bacon sandwich with HP sauce. Yummy 😋
These chickens are so cute
Have a good day
Love Kim ❤ x.
Oh those silly chicks! They are fun to watch! Take care of yourself and take your vitamins! It’s amazing how the lack of simple vitamins can cause such havoc in our bodies!! Feel better! Lots of love and a great big hug!❤
Good luck lynn ....Em you look better already ❤❤xx
OMG, I just got the same diagnosis this week!! Let’s see if we feel better with the supplements! ❤
🙏🙏🙏🙏
I'm so happy you got things a bit sorted now. Relax your shoulders now. Wow, thanks for the tour of the fridge, that was fun. I make my own hummus at least twice a month its so easy to make. I'm addicted to it. Minky moo has a absolute stash of toys doesnt she? Lol 😊❤
Dr. POOHLITTLE !!! Hehe
I have a cupboard full of chickpeas
.....no idea why I bought it ready made.....lazy Em x x 😂😂❤️❤️❤️❤️
@TheDogPooPro Girl, I have 8 cans of chicky peas in mine, too. It's time to make a batch. Tahini - (sesame paste) and a few squeezes of lemon puts smack down in the dip! 😆
@julielee8651 me and Sooz hated tahini x so I'll leave that out hehe xxx
@TheDogPooPro I get you. I just put a little spoonful in. I'm at the bottom of the jar and not going to purchase it again because it's expensive, IMO. Plus, I don't need it to be complicated..lol.
I have low vitamin D and on medication for it and calcium too. Hope you feel better soon ❤❤❤❤
Sending healing prayers and Hugs your way Emma
Kirsty in Australia xx ❤🙏
OMG, so glad your ok darlin, sending you big hugs, 🤗🤗🤗xxxxxxxxxx
Oh my, those chickens were having a lovely chat with you, hope you start to feel better very soon 💜
Em So proud of you. Keep up now with positive vibes. You will have your highs and lows, but it will even out. But you have the best job in the world being with Fur Babies every day, that is healing in itself Best Wishes Cathie❤
Glad everything was ok for you!🤗
I have chickens, no fair, I have to clean up after them myself!🍽️
