Good job they diagnosed fast, I dread to think how much worse you could've got. Took 17 years for me, possible 20+

Sounds like mine. It was hard to find at first. I had a colonoscopy and a doctor missed it and want to send me home. My wife insisted more testing. They used a pill camera to find it and another colonoscopy.

This sounds so much like me.
Lower left side pressure, cramps, sharp pains like glass. but i go back and forth between Constipation and diarrhoea. I feel like my lower left/colon is in a knot.
I remember walking through a shopping mall a little bit after my symptoms started and it felt like a car had driven into the side of my knee and it needed to explode. Awful feeling.
Mine started after a really awful breakup where I had to move back across the country (5 hours away), change job and start again.

Ugh yes! The relationship between Crohn's, our joints, and stressful life events is very real and I never realized there was a relation. I'm so sorry you had to experience that... I 100% support and empathize with you. We will get through this together

Good lord, sounds what I’m going through right now. Initially my hand swelling was so bad they thought it was rheumatoid arthritis. Now I’m diagnosed with RA. As I do have RA family history.
Question I have, did you have to go the bathroom pretty much as soon as you eat anything. I ate dinner last night, no joke had to go to the bathroom right away……and I’m still suffering the next day.
Asked my rheumatologist she said “sounds like a GI problem. Talk you your family doctor. “ I see my family doctor tomorrow but I know I’ll have to go through tests…..same as you lost 20 pounds and I’m not big to begin with.

Yes I did!! That’s exactly what happened - almost immediately had to go to the bathroom after eating. I would definitely asked about IBD and having tests done with a GI doctor. I hope they were able to give you answers!!! Sending love and healing 🤍

Are you losing your voice? I keep getting lesions in my mouth n throat and my voice keeps going in and out. Have you experienced this?

Before I was initially diagnosed I had swelling/inflammation in my throat and did lose my voice a little bit. And then during my first flare up I had a couple sores in my mouth. I found that deep breathing techniques helped with the swelling/inflammation in my throat (like belly breaths or breath work practices). I also find probiotics to be super helpful at strengthening my immune system/reducing these symptoms. . . I really like Athletic Greens, or Smart by Dr Tara Swart.
