I was 15 when the finale of voyager aired in UK. It's still one of my most standout memories for a treky. It was such a optimistic but naive time. Blissful really! I miss it. It's nice to see young people now who also like this magical era of star trek 😊
Robert Duncan McNeill hosted this program and he took us on a behind-the-scenes look at the series. Plus, his character’s name in the show was Tom Paris.
Agreed we had movies of the others , saturated by Picard but Janeway was equally a good , interesting , fun, watchable captain..she's one my favourites..
@@damienhenning541I don't know that DS9 would be a good choice for a movie since the characters all kinda went separate directions at the end of the show and you'd have to spend a significant amount of the movie just bringing them back together before you can even do much with the main plot.
@@nighteye002 Fair point (no pun intended!) but WHATEVER they came up with would be WAY better than "Star Trek the Motionless Picture"... Leaving room to build on better stories down the line.
The last episode was way to short. We don’t know what happen to them. They should have made the last episode into either a tv movie or a motion picture.. It would have been wonderful to see that beautiful ship on a large movie screen💜💜
Thank you so much for sharing this. I am such a big fan of STV. I've lost count as to the number of times I've watched STV over the years and I'm now watching it on Netflix 😀 I've just subscribed to your channel 👍
Ethan Phillips is my top fave actor in the series. His character’s name is Neelix. Garrett Wang is another fave actor of mine in the series. He played Harry.
Thx. The whole Team( behind & in front of Camera ) did such a great job meaking Voyager to be real, that i forgot : How many talented & hard working ARTISTS are dedicated & envolved doing so. Well done 👏
Star Trek has certainly lost its hope and optimism of the future with Star Trek Discovery and Picard. The divide on the fan base is great between fans of Star Trek (1966-2005) and Star Trek fans (2009-present). I hope one day that we have proper Star Trek writers again who understand the franchise and can bring Star Trek fans back together for the rest of the 21st Century.
In my opinion Star Trek Discovery was a good series but, as you say didn't have the feel of previous star trek shows. And about picard, well it looks more like it's Star Trek Data or something like that but not that bad of a series.
Star Trek offers hope.. but not for free. The utopian ideal put forth by Star Trek demonstrates that it must (and can) be obtained in spite of our human flaws. We must work at bettering ourselves, personally and as a society, to work for bettering and maintaining our humanity. It's a constant struggle, but that is the heart of exploration.. boldly going where none have gone before.
My favorite trek series is : DS9. And i remember watching this tv special when it aired,I was glued to the tv screen. Such a GOOD memory too. Live Long and Prosper
I think the “Gee Wiz” and fun factors are what this series was going for. Not that they didn’t play drama too, but a lot of it was just fun, like the original series. I am a fan of the first, and the last series in particular. I was a young mom when the first Trek series took off. It was a Revolution in its time. I only saw Voyager as a rerun, but i just loved every minute, well, mostly. There were a couple clunkers, and one i can’t watch since all the “hate your neighbor” garbage started; the episode just makes me cry. But, i watch this series again periodically. It may be that time again.
Oohhh I remember this!! and to think now they are doing a Voyager documentary. I’m so excited about that. And I might add a very rare interview with Jennifer Lien. It is nice seeing her.
God damn, Voyager might not be objectively the best Star Trek, but it sure is my favorite! I just love this cast. If I'd have to choose one actor from the franchise to have lunch with, I'd pick Garret Wang without hestitation. He seems like such a Trek nerd, it must be fun as hell to talk with him.
It must absolutely BLOW THE FUCKING MINDS of the cast(and select crew members) when modern day technology that keeps getting better and better is steadily catching up & surpassing technological concepts created for a hard science fiction tv show‼️‼️‼️💯💯❤️ On the other hand producers, writers and other select crew members talked to scientists, scholars, and futurists before any of this appeared on TV, and they were enlightened on what was coming up in the future & what was just around the corner. Our cell phones are so ridiculously powerful nowadays that fans of TOS must be shocked, flabbergasted, and amazed‼️‼️‼️💯💯❤️
that happens when young kids watch star trek. They grow up and want to build a new technological device. They make it like in star trek, like what they saw as childs.
The only downside to this is Kate saying Wildmen's science station was Torres's engineering station which is actually on the other side of the bridge, but that's just me being picky.
1) Garret Wang demonstrating better warp drive knowledge than the writer of Threshold 2) Voyager's max speed is warp 9.975 not 9.9. So only partial points there 3) Everyone is hilarious. 4) 75 years to get home "at maximum warp", which is not a sustainable speed. So you guys could have had more than 75 seasons if you wanted
Nope😂😂😂😂 I refuse to believe it! The characters I see every night on my tv are real people! 😂😂 2024 I watch voyager every night in bed for so many many years.
I love watching these historical documents also. Such heroism and determination. Obvio a reference to Galaxy Quest. However, I have to confess, I have watched Endgame parts one and two at least twenty times in the last ten years.
@Blue Rain Jennifer Lien?? 😂 The actress with arguably the least acting experience who then ended up getting arrested due to public indecent exposure and ultimately turning into a meth goblin? Interesting choice.. But let's just agree to disagree..
