Only the public universities in Germany are tution free less and it's quite difficult to get into those especially if you're for an English taught course which most people aim for because foreigners don't understand German. The UK does not have that kind of language barrier and the people are also generally more talkative and interactive. So, talking about German private unis vs English unis. The UK has a clear advantage here.

For them it's much more important to have the skills or willing to learn it. Also as long as you are able to speak English they will be people who are willing to hire you.
