Duel Analysis (Single Vs Single, Good Spacing)

- In this duel I fight a skilled red user who loves to use fundamentals to win his fights. This gives us a great opportunity to see the basics of saber combat such as footwork, timing, and spacing. We also get to see some great saber blocking and clashes.

I've personally always preferred the duel sabers. It's true they don't have the damage of red when it comes to simple cuts, but the back and forth W-D butterfly cut is incredibly devastating too, it just requires a lot of practice, because the style is a lot faster and more busy on your fingers to use, so it's hard to focus on the opponent at the same time. But after 3-4 years of playing back in the days, I could wreck most red users very easily. You just count their chain attacks, and after they initiate the third one, you go in, and as it ends, you're all over them hacking them to death before they can recover for another swing. I did hate playing against staff users who were using the turn-off glitch though. That... was my one weakness... the reach was absurd.

Yea I feel bad for console users because they don't have the same mods and tools we do. The developers should have added the ability for multi duels and proper saber only to encourage 1v1 duels. Most players on console don't even know what laming is and are just playing the game like an arena shooter. Maybe one day they will add the functionality in for multi duels, but I doubt it.
The switch servers are well cordinated, with jedi doing 1v1 on switch being normal.
Ps4 community these days is great.

Duel analysis is an interesting type of video, I probably should make such a video as well. By the way, I don't agree with some of the things you say and don't like how much emphasis you put on some other things while leaving out some important stuff that is going on in the duel, but I guess everybody has an own approach to sabering. For all I know I could be wrong about some stuff. Just the fact that you take your time to make video guides for jka deserves respect. Any guide has a potential to spark interest in someone and motivate him to play, so yeah, good job, keep up the good work!
P.S.: you can always ask me if you need help with some part of sabering you want to make a video about or just learn for yourself, I also like learning more about sabering myself :)
I appreciate the feedback, I agree I probably missed several things an important points in this duel, I'm still getting used to analyzing duels and making commentary in general. I've played JKA on auto-pilot so much I'm beginning to see flaws in my gameplay.

What's the best thing about the red stance? Is it the poking?
Red stance has a variety of things that make it powerful. It has the most damage and power behind the swing, so when it collides with other sabers it will overpower them. It has swings that last a long time and do a lot of damage, and they are easy to poke with. Wiggling does a lot of damage in red, especially on base/console. Red attacks have lots of range to them and will hit from a fair distance away.
