My son drug me to this movie kicking and screaming.I went anyway because he wonted to go.I am glad that I did because it was the best movie that i have ever seen. I laughted and cried from start to finish. Thank you Tom Hanks
My daughter and I watched this movie together and we Laughed during the entire movie❣️ Except when Bubba died, Lt Dan in the hospital and when Jenny died and Forest cried at her grave. There may have been other scenes but those are the ones that stand out. Now I’ve watched it so many times that I recite the dialogue LOL‼️
I love this film so much when I saw it back when it first came out and now I'm fascinated by all these details which I did not realize at the time into a great degree have forgotten about. Time for a long overdue screening of this beloved film❤❤❤️
My dad chose to settle in what would become my home town in large part because it was one of the most integrated towns in the US in 1968. Growing up I never saw racially segregated neighborhoods, and I thought it was a stupid idea. I had racially diverse classmates and friends and no one even cared.
Scinis did a concert in desert town lancaster ca to raise money for a local tank soldier that lost an arm damaged the other and both legs. A new house with handicapped ammenitiesfor him and his 2 little children. His wife left him after discharge. A mom/dad house was built in the back of yard. Thank you!
One of the benches used in the film is located on the fourth tee box on the Davis Love golf course on Fripp Island, SC. This is the golf course they used to film the war portion of the film. The golf course was also the filming location for The Jungle Book.
Well, I am so glad they ended up with the actors that finally made the film, I cannot imagine any other actors/actresses in everyone of the characters you mentioned. I am specially a fan of Tom Hanks and Sally Field. I have watched this movie for at least 5 times over the years and have enjoyed it and cried just as the first time.
I watched this movie maybe a dozen times and each time saw and learned things about life and how things could turn out for a person depending on the path they take in life.
The movie was a great success because of the actors and actresses used. If any of the other ones offered the roles had been chosen, I seriously doubt it would have been as good.
Here I figured it was Hugh Jackman courtesy of his voicing Memphis in Happy Feet because I remember the Forrest Gump Elvis sounding like Elvis. Humping is when you're face down in the dirt. George Wallace really did try to prevent blacks from enrolling in the University of Alabama though, so the scene is accurate. I always figured the feather was supposed to be Jenny.
C'mon Travolta! You want to take credit for generating other actors careers?! Only career advice learned was don't reject Forrest Gump and star in Battlefield Earth.
I was a Maine and lived in Beaufort SC at that time . I remember to seeing that bench many times what a piece of History. Savannah GA is Beautiful and full of history. Very Haunted and so much Wonderful history.
Tom wasn't just shrewd in taking a percentage, but generous as well. You see, if the movie flopped, so did he. But it also insured the other actors and crew got paid a normal salary, and money wasn't spent on paying his actual salary of say.... $12M. That money could be invested in other interests toward making the film. Hey, he has enough money anyhow, right? It ended up being one of the greatest movies ever, so he probably earned 3X what he might have. And the movie's take probably didn't suffer either due to it's success.
Bill look too serious and quiet. Travolta too handsome , Chuby Chase too tall and doesn’t match the look. Ice Cube too mean look. He wouldn’t be able to pull the disability look . It doesn’t match him and his lyrics. Dave Chappell too funny . Doesn’t match the look and the other guy too chubby and intellectual look. Bubba perfect for the roll
Love Mr. Sinise, he came and seen us in 2003 during the invasion into Iraq, he did a show in Kuwait I believe some time around October November 2003. Too bad Tom Hanks turned out to be such a twatwaffle
I will always treasure Forest Gump as one of the best films I’ve seen on my journey through life ! Thank you all and especially Lt. Dan
My son drug me to this movie kicking and screaming.I went anyway because he wonted to go.I am glad that I did because it was the best movie that i have ever seen. I laughted and cried from start to finish. Thank you Tom Hanks
Lt. Dan Band does so much for military families. Thannks to Gary and the band. ❤
Gary sinese thank you
Sooooo very glad all those other actors turned down the roles! Somehow things just work out the way they’re supposed to! This movie was perfection!
Great film. Heartbreaking when he lost his best freind Bubba.
Of all those wrong alternatives i think Kevin Bacon might have been an okay Lt. Dan but Gary Senise was outstanding.
Forest Gump. One of the Greatest Movies ever made. Amen.
Tom Was the one. It just fit the movie.
It was a terrific movie. You could relate the pain and suffering but also great joys of life.
I couldn't imagine this movie with different actors. One of the greatest movies in history.😊
John Travolta could never be a good Forrest Gump.
Love Bubba when he explains about shrimp dishes to Forrest while they are scrubbing the floor 🤩🤩😁😁 it's hilarious
Ex combat vet... always luved this movie ! Glad to see a bit again !
The Bubba Gump Shrimp company is located at 900 parkway Gatlinburg, Tennessee.
Travolta could NEVER have been Forrest!
I love the movie and Tom Hank and Gary Sinese
Loved the movie and finding out Tom Hanks daughter played the young Jenny was kind of cool.
Gary for President
I love this film so much when I saw it back when it first came out and now I'm fascinated by all these details which I did not realize at the time into a great degree have forgotten about.
Time for a long overdue screening of this beloved film❤❤❤️
It wouldn't have been the same movie without the people who were in it.
Love this movie and have it on DVD. So I can watch it over and over❤️
Love gary even more now!!!!!!!
Love gary sinese and all of them
I love that whole movie, Forrest Gump I can’t believe it as far of my favorite movies of all times❤️❤️✌️✌️👍🙏😃
I walk my French Bulldogs in that square every day. My condo is 2 blocks away on West Perry Street towards the civic center. Come visit!!!
Tom’s brother did a lot of running for in the movie. ❤the video.
Travolta is a little full of himself.
Not in the same category as Hanks!
Smiley face was invented way before his run across America
Bubba was one of my very favorite characters in film.
I've seen Platoon countless times. My sister and I quote it all the time.
With Forrest Gump running,he made Monument Valley famous. To this day, Monument Valley is visited more than ever.
For me, Forrest Gump is the best movie ever.
My dad chose to settle in what would become my home town in large part because it was one of the most integrated towns in the US in 1968.
Growing up I never saw racially segregated neighborhoods, and I thought it was a stupid idea. I had racially diverse classmates and friends and no one even cared.
I visited Beaufort SC long before I knew it was a gimp location. it's very classic Southern American. Main Street is described as a HALLMARK TOWN.
Well done review sir, much thanks from Oregon beaches
They knew. Nothing is perfect. Forrest Gump is as close as you get!!!!
Technically it was not a war since war was never formally declared. Similar to the conflict in Korea also called a war which was never declared.
I don't care for Tom Hanks but I have great admiration for Gary Sinise
Scinis did a concert in desert town lancaster ca to raise money for a local tank soldier that lost an arm damaged the other and both legs. A new house with handicapped ammenitiesfor him and his 2 little children. His wife left him after discharge. A mom/dad house was built in the back of yard. Thank you!

One of the most moving films I've ever seen. And I don't do squeals.
ONE OF THE BEST CLASSICAL MOVIES! TOM HANKS ONE TOP ACTOR!, 💗💗👍👍
An absolutely lovely movie!
I like Ice Cube as an actor, but he was right, Bubba was not a good fit for him.
The battle scean, was for me very realistic short sharp a hell of lot noise. Very good effect, setting up for Pvt Ryan. Excellent movie. 🇦🇺
Always liked the movie. Read the book later, and was surprised. Its much different, but also very good. In my opinion anyway
Thank you for the Vietnam seens more importantly than anything
This was an awesome movie ❤

Love the historical events
Oh God, I hope they *never* do a sequel to this classic.
Very engaging. Thanks for the well done walk down memory lane. It's a beautiful movie. 😊
I watched this movie maybe a dozen times and each time saw and learned things about life
and how things could turn out for a person depending on the path they take in life.
One of my favotite movie i have vcr, and lots of vhs tapes.including forests Gump. 😊
Bubba was the right person… Tom Hanks was believable
Lt. Dan said that about being an astronaut. It isn't foreshadowing Apollo 13. You got legs lt. Dan. It foreshadowed his titanium legs.
The movie was a great success because of the actors and actresses used. If any of the other ones offered the roles had been chosen, I seriously doubt it would have been as good.
Excellent Movie!!

George Wallace really did try to prevent blacks from enrolling in the University of Alabama though, so the scene is accurate. I always figured the feather was supposed to be Jenny.
Only Hanks had the talent to play the many sides of Forrest !
I thought the feather was cgi for sure
Excellent! Thank you 😊❤
C'mon Travolta! You want to take credit for generating other actors careers?! Only career advice learned was don't reject Forrest Gump and star in Battlefield Earth.
Yeah… Tom Hanks, I have enjoyed.
I love the Elvis and Young Gump!!
I think Robin Williams would have done well. The real life Forrest (Sammy Davis) looks a lot like him
Shrimp farmer? Is that anything like a fish roundup? Never heard of a shrimp farmer, shrimp fisherman yes, shrimp farmer - no.
Wow this was awesome exclamation point exclamation point exclamation point🎉 Ty 👋✨💛💛🥰
This is my favorite movie very good
Kevin Bacon could not have done the job that Gary Sinece did as Lieutenant Dan
Nice.
Thanks for the post.
A fine movie but ugly at times, like life.
In the Viet Nam fire fight scene, you can see Tom's ear plugs.
I was a Maine and lived in Beaufort SC at that time . I remember to seeing that bench many times what a piece of History. Savannah GA is Beautiful and full of history. Very Haunted and so much Wonderful history.
John Travolta is too close to Forest Gump in real life.
Tom wasn't just shrewd in taking a percentage, but generous as well. You see, if the movie flopped, so did he. 😊I guess there's a lot.I didn't realize thank you
The book was absurd. The movie was way better than the book.
I wonder what insights into humanity Tom Hanks found on his numerous visits to Epstein Island.
1st of all yes Forrest gump was a good movie it however was not the greatest movie ever made.
If you haven’t read the book , you should. It’s hilarious!
Gary Sinise is an awesome person
❤ I always loved this movie
Best movie EVER.
Bubba so sad
Bill look too serious and quiet. Travolta too handsome , Chuby Chase too tall and doesn’t match the look. Ice Cube too mean look. He wouldn’t be able to pull the disability look . It doesn’t match him and his lyrics. Dave Chappell too funny . Doesn’t match the look and the other guy too chubby and intellectual look. Bubba perfect for the roll
My favorite movie… ever!
I absolutely love the movie Forrest Gump
Gump and Co should be made, it is a better book than the first book!
In the face of pain
Oh sorry Tom Hanks was the perfect choice
I never watched this movie and I never will
Now Ya Know
Love Mr. Sinise, he came and seen us in 2003 during the invasion into Iraq, he did a show in Kuwait I believe some time around October November 2003. Too bad Tom Hanks turned out to be such a twatwaffle
Afghanistan war was longer than Vietnam War wasn't?
Ifs and buts were candy and nuts we would all have a marry Christmas
Has it ever occurred to you wishers that the movie would likely not have been so successful.
Gulf Coast, not Atlantic....
I DON'T TRUST TOM HANKS AS AN ACTOR OR A HUMAN.
Love it.
