    Looks great and very professional. Can I ask how you would deal with a single skin external brick wall when converting a garage? Some sort of water proofing inside before the stud work?

    • @BuildingwithBudd
      @BuildingwithBudd  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      That’s a tricky one without seeing it, probably studwork with a space between the outer skin, dpc under the studwork bass plate, breathable membrane before you plasterboard, but it is down to looking at the job , and your own personal preference, many thanks for watching 👍👍

      @@scoobydo2that's about right, there is no damp barrier between the inner and outer skin, no starter bars, or insulation in slab!!!, nor the walls!!!!

  • @jemima4242

    Was the ceiling height already correct height for building regs, or did you dig down to make it right?

    • @jeremyfoster6942
      @jeremyfoster6942 11 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      😂😂😂 I don't think there were any building regs involved!!, hence lack of insulation, damp transference mitigation, concrete poured over original floor, no pads under the lintel, mixed concrete and celcons in the footings, no lintel over the service in the footing🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️

    how much will it set me back to have you boys come and do this for me? I have the same internal garage, i even want a personnel door on the right to lead from my hall the same as you've done here. but i dont need the stud work doing, i can do all that stuff. let me know Budd, great work!

    realistically do we need any permission

    • @BuildingwithBudd
      @BuildingwithBudd  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I couldn’t call it I think it’s something you would have to talk to the planners about, but they always tell you to get permission so they can charge you a fee 🤷‍♂️

    • @ianthomas509
      @ianthomas509 18 วันที่ผ่านมา

      You will need planning permission- some councils will reject the application if alternative parking space is not provided on the plot. This is particularly applicable on new build estates.

    No dust mask or ear defenders, no safety glasses. PLURICY in your lungs pal. Just wait till you get breathing issues. Hairs in the ears pick up sound, loud noises damage the hairs that transmit sounds. Your Heath & Safety is extremly poor. Personally I would never allow that. I wouldn't hire you.
