Is there a way i could do this whilst living in a rented property? Like do it in a way where i could remove it all when i move out? I dont expect it to be as final and permanent as your room but just a close alternative ya know. Thanks for the help bud
Hey @RustyBarnacle! It’s one of these: Raven 926mm CA RP4 Door Bottom www.bunnings.com.au/raven-926mm-ca-rp4-door-bottom_p4065379?productName=raven-clear-anodised-rp4-storm-proof-door-seal&pid=4065379
Fantastic Video Bud! What a great end result Im fellow local Aussie based in Melbourne - This is exactly what i would like to do with my garage, i know its a long shot but would love to have a bit more of a chat with you about it and if you had to get any council permits. etc. Cheers!
Nice job. Do wonder if you wouldn’t have been better getting the paper backed insulation and stapling it to the framing . When you doubled it up on walls and ceiling it would have given you an air gap further deadening the sound.
Hey @@colmbright9822 ! Yeah that might have helped. I don’t have that kind of insulation available where I am I don’t think. However by far the biggest game changer is the Mass Loaded Vinyl.
@@LovingTechLife I wish. I don't have such a storage room to turn into a regular room but I always like to see what creative things people are up to. Have aspirations to do so maybe in a future home with multiple (spare) rooms.
@@LovingTechLife hi, sorry for reply, fat fingers I was trying to write Heating… then I realise you are in Australia & you also have a AC system fitted. Great work by the way.

Really well put together video mate! What a fantastic result
Hey Rawkandetc! Thank you for the great feedback. It was a lot of work but definitely worth it in the end.

We don't need to know why you needed to convert your garage into an extra room. Just get on with telling us how you did it.
