Hello!! Let us know when your house appears in one of these home improvement magazines. It is fantastic!! You guys are doing a wonderful job!! Congratulations!! Good vibes and Namaste!!
I absolutely love the feel of the downstairs, so fluid, calming and coherent! English is my 2nd language and when my kitchen was being renovated I only knew the english names like plaster and such because of watching Emma's renovation videos 😂 How fascinating to know more words in the non-native language than the one you grew up with!
Loved you taking us thru the full process - it’s interesting to see the steps involved… it’s already looking amazing and I cannot wait to see part 2 especially the 🐾🐶 station.
I would do the same, leveling the floor, & bc we have a dog too, i would make it too in a compleet washing room for intire family. & the doors they are a dream of mine. Clean , modern. For making the doors from the electrics esthetic pleasing i would put up a black pictureframes just on the outside arround & on the doors itself i would put sticky pictures of the dog (s) , so when closed it just looks like pictures on a wall Have a lovely sunday ✌🏻🌺
I just love Emma, how you give us the most famous way you show us in enough detail, your room make overs.... Can't wait to see part 2 of this utility room / mud room.... Im just loving the black door, windows, radiator and sockets, so smart looking and the colour Joanna just softness it all together... Hugs from Donna xx here on the Wirral 💕 🏡
Emma, you’re seriously making me think of repainting my house into Joanna 😅 I hope these series never ends (sorry for being selfish) and lastly I can not wait for the doggy bath to be installed! The babies will absolutely love it! ❤️ cheers
Wow just wow, it is really inspiring to watch how you show that it are just four walls that you can fully custom into your liking... it changed my perspective on houses! :) thank you!
It looks amazing, but then, you and Simon always think these things through so well in advance, it’s just to be expected. Love the flow between all the rooms (eliminating thresholds is brilliant), and I can’t wait to see the doggo bath in action!! Fantastic job! 👏👏👏
Morning Emma, great job 👏. Our garage is too small for a car so just becomes a dumping ground for anything and everything even if we have racked it out to try and keep things tidy!, what you have achieved is such a better use of space. I do think painting the ceiling the same colour is a brilliant idea. Looking forward to seeing the doggy bath! Have a lovely Sunday 😊
Hi Emma. I just love your renovation videos and every change you make has obviously been so well thought out and creates a wonderful flow throughout your downstairs living space. It’s so tasteful, as is all your styling ,and I can’t wait to see part 2 when you reach that stage.🥰❤️
Another AMAZING room transfer, your vision is just so lovely, everything just flows so nicely, i love your doors, well i love everything you both are incredable and work so hard in making your house a home, thankyou for another very enjoyable video look forward to the next one xxx
Fantastic re-use of the space, Emma! I’m becoming very fond of Little Greene’s Joanna. Might have to find something similar in the States for a future project.
Wow!! team work makes the dream work! 👏🏻 As beautifully aesthetically pleasing it all looks I really admire your ability to make all the decisions through out creating your vision to bring it to reality while also managing daily life and all it entails.. impressive! 👌🏻🏡👌🏻
I've loved every single one of your home renovation videos (since you lived in London) but out of everything I'm most excited to see the custom doggie bath 😂
love what you've done to this area - functionality is key here, so I appreciate how you've taken the time to explain your planning process too. Nice job! I noticed you've placed the sockets for the washer/dryer units up to high above? You must have a plan for above to hide these? Can't wait to see the full reveal!
Yes they will be stacked so the socket needed to be higher in order for both plugs to reach, it will be hidden by the tumble dryer which will be on the top x
You guys are doing such a great job! I don’t know if you learnt all these “renovation” skills along the way but it’s impressive! Even a half-finished utility room looks so glamourous! 😂 Can’t wait to see the final result ☺️
Haha we have learnt a lot of skills over the last 15 years of renovating certain properties. This room was definitely down to the professionals so didn’t really showcase our skills but we’re always willing to get stuck in 🙌🏼
Good morning Excellent as I’m going to convert my garage as well so very interesting to see how it’s isolated etc. I’m also luck to have hot and cold water already there. Just wondering about how the central heating was extended into the room to install the rad. Eg pipes?Would you mention this in the next part please whenever it is. I’m sure you’ll save for fittings faster than I’ll save for my conversion. Take care and best regards. X
I wonder what percentage of people actually park their car in their garage nowadays is?! Extremely low I bet 😂 Another amazing transformation, love the cohesiveness with the windows and doors. Can’t wait to see the dogs area etc and it all fully completed. Fabulous job to both of you 🙌🏻☺️👏🏻
I think it’s a both a generational thing and a location thing. In the States they seem to love a garage and over here I feel like it’s only the older generation that use them for cars. I bet most people use them as storage. Thank you ❤️❤️❤️
You are a great team doing all the painting together. I watched with the sound off as I am in a cafe. Do you think the sockets would be better lowered or was that mentioned in my silent movie?
As mentioned in the video the sockets were placed where they are according to where units are going and certain appliances. For example the dryer will be stacked above the washing machine so the socket had to go high in order for both plugs to reach the socket 👍🏼 It will probably make more sense when you see the finished room x
It’s LVT, not real wood. Sorry I think I went into more detail about the LVT in last weeks video and not this one. We could never have real wood flooring with 4 dogs, it just wouldn’t work for us x
If I’m being honest I don’t think I’d enjoy that as I wouldn’t want to let anyone down. I prefer just working on our own projects where I can do exactly what I want to do ☺️
Why would anyone inject their home with colour if they don’t like that look just because some people say it’s “in”? That makes no sense to me 🤷♀️ I say, create a home that you love with colours, tones and the aesthetic that you like, not anyone else. You’re the one that lives there so it has to be what you want to look at all day 🙌🏼
@@tulafoster3962 We like neutrals, regardless of if they’re a trend or not. We don’t follow trends or deliberately incorporate them into our home. Our previous home was neutral, that’s how we’ve liked to have our home for at least the last 7 years. We also wouldn’t change our home with every change of a trend nor would we ever encourage anyone else to do that. We believe in making choices that we really love so they have longevity.
Emma you literally should have your own interior design company you and your other half just make an amazing team! 😮

Such a difference already I can’t wait to see part 2. A great use of the space!
I’d love to see a view from the outside with the new windows. Your home is so pretty and chic.

It's great when you make extra space, changes your daily life in all sorts of ways . Lovely extension.
This renovation looks already amazing! Can’t wait for part 2 with the doggy station and what you will do with the electric board!
Always lovely to see what you two have put together decor-wise. Can't wait for the upcoming episodes.
Let’s face it though, the paint is always Joanna 🤣🙈
@@EmmaHill Minus the pool room. I was shocked! 😂
@@emily.d.j.h and don’t forget the bedroom, that’s Rolling Fog 😱😆😜

Great video, I searched you tube, but couldn't find part 2.

Honestly I can't wait to see the part 2 😁👍 Great job for the painting, I really love this color 🥰 and your window's frame and doors !!!

It's looking lovely already x
Thank you, it is nice to have it as a proper room even though it’s not finished yet it’s just great to have a separate and clean space for laundry 🙌🏼
I don’t have a dog but I’m excited to see the custom doggy bath

The pipes were fed in from the dining room which is on the other side of the wall where there is a rad 👍🏼

Hi Emma, can you let me know where you got your plaster in ceiling lights from?
❤ in aw as always xx
Looks fantastic , my only question is why did you put the plug sockets for the washing machine and tumble dryer so hight up?
Because they’re being stacked when the units go in so both plugs needed to be able to reach 👍🏼
I want to win the lottery and hire you to go fix all my theoretical properties! You are brilliant! 😊🎉
We just converted our garage into our new dining room. It was just too small for parking a car
Always better to transform wasted space into something you’ll actually use 🙌🏼
Hi did you upload part 2
What is the plastering for? In America we just insulate, sheet rock and prime and paint
Plastering is for a smooth finish, if we just painted over plasterboard there would be visible screws and lines where each panel meets x
@@EmmaHill ohh. We have tapers and spackel over those and smooth those areas. Interesting 😃

What a difference it made, very nice. But is wooden flooring practical?
It’s LVT, not real wood. Sorry I think I went into more detail about the LVT in last weeks video and not this one. We could never have real wood flooring with 4 dogs, it just wouldn’t work for us x

@@EmmaHill well, at least you are inspiring us a lot for our own renovations!
what is this color called? thank you
I am confused is your plaster tinted or is it standard for the UK
Just standard plaster 👍🏼
How much did it cost you
❤️❤️❤️
Yoj dont need plannjng permission. Footings are essential!
Hi emma why did you need approval from enfield. I thought if you bought a home in the u.k you can do whatever you want with it.
You need planning permission or building control to sign off. Lots of people don't then have trouble selling.
Speaking of doggies how many do you have left of the five?
We have 4. We heartbreakingly lost Bean 2 weeks after we moved in Sept 2021.
Ball ache 😂😂
♥️
Oh Emma. What’s the matter?
Amazing How a room can change 🤍
Beautiful you have such Great Taste
