    k24a is from Honda Odyssey Absolute, I know the engine. The code being RBB-2 is from the years 2003-2008. 210hp stock. I have this exact engine on the Accord CL7 from Europe, which came from the factory with the 155hp k20z2. A real symphony this engine is more your love to drive it I currently have 230hp with the stock ARK5 manual box (the one on the 2.0 from the old engine) Civic FN2R RSP intake and 410cc RDX injectors. 😉👍🇯🇵🇹🇩

    The best way to find out what jdm k24a you have, remove the valve cover. If you have the 3 lobes on both intake and exhaust, you have the high performance one. If you only have the 3 lobes on the intake it's the "eco" one

    They sell 3D printed headlights that are shaped like scoops.. routing the filter behind the headlight, with one of those would be like a Ram air setup 😮

    K24a swapped ep3 added 6thgear....I had 2 intake setups on mine cause of weather, humid and wet here. Sometimes, I had to stop at gas station cause of rain and swap a hose around in fear of hydrolocking motor, but running hondata thru the phone, I noticed that 10 hp u could feel it is why I got to noticing, I would look at phone and see the temps climb up and fall down. If I ran the short ram modified to fit rbc in the correct location, the temps were better than what they were behind the radiator. But after the intake under the headlight, it made a world of difference. Hell of a tuner, you are man, mine made 236 whp on 93oct with shit short ram intake, 50°vtc, header, rbc manifold, 3in straight exhaust. 192 tq, your 1 hell of a tuner and that car will be quick as fuck!

    What a fun little car this will be. Watching this video makes me question rebuilding my b18c. I will have to "fully build" it to make 220 230 whp and nowhere near that torque but i got the motor for next to nothing so old school b series it is :) then k series

    I wish I could get a torque curve like that out of my JDM K24. So long and flat, mine makes 200 ft lbs but drops like a rock!

    So that's why so many end up using those headlight velocity stacks. That's a significant power increase just for a change of intake air temps.

      Problem with that is most dont run a air filter , thus sandblasting the rings and valves over time .

    I am constantly amazed at how much horsepower a K series engine can make. When I figure out what I need to do a K swap in my SH Forester I am doing it.

    Hey, Nick. When you say, "some perform well and some don't" what do the "ones that don't" put down? I only ask because I have a k24a rbb-2 opened up right now with k20 oil pump and 50 deg vtc prepping to go in a lotus 7 clone.

      Negative. K24a are identical
      To 04-05 tsx engine. RBB cylinder head 10.5:1 pistons. 200 hp stock

    Im curious why anyone gets a car tuned on 91? why not 94? Pretty sure the car woulkd have gained a few more horse with some added timing on 94.

    Fantastic numbers for a stock K24, increase across the rev range especially for a short intake!! I've also seen good numbers on set ups on a long 3in intake. One K24 was done by eleven23_motorsports, I think the idea on the intake was Rocket Motorsports'. Not sure what determines the effectiveness of intake systems as I've seen both can be effective.
    By the way, did you do a lot of tuning on the VTC table?

      Tegiwa concluded that shorter pipe makes most power on their k20 as long as it has proper cold air channeled to it ofc

      @@CL9k24a3 i believe that was with the skunk2 ultra street intake manifold, but still a note worthy point. Not sure if any/how much difference ported rbc vs the ultra street would make. Comparison video? 😈

      @@KorkwiN7 yes it was ultra street manifold. Also humble performance did the same test and got the same resoult and cupple of other people on yt also had tested short ram with superior resoults. Just cant link it here as message gets deleted instantly.
      But I'm also aware that some people did test with longer intakes on hi comp and agressive cam setup and that made more power. So it looks like it is setup specific.

      @@KorkwiN7 these test are not really useful a engine is a package and one part alone could make less power but make a massive difference in power with the right supporting part especially with cam
      This could be any intake the improvement you see is getting cold air to the "cold air" intake the stock intake would probably given the same exact result most of the cold air intake on the market will actually loose power

      @@CL9k24a3 there is no evidence to prove short air intake are the best when all dynos are with the hood open, or with the filter directly outside of the car. Obviously if you combine cold air + shorter length is gonna give you the best results. In the practice you can't achieve that

    What is a "typical" intake air temperature? My EP3 is running the AEM V2 intake and I'm seeing 140 in traffic jams during summer.... obviously too warm. Moving in 90 degree temps I see around 120. Just curious what everyone else is getting.

      That seems really high my wrx with stock intake just drop in filter is never more than 5-6 degrees above the temp outside according to the accessport. When it’s sitting in traffic yes it’ll rocket to 140 150 but moving it drops right down to ambient. But different car obviously so idk lol

    K24a is a oddysee van motor k24a2 is tsx motor people get ut confused thinking that k24a is just like k24a2 but they are different alot different in horsepower range just want clear that up alot of people get that confused

      The k24a is identical to 04-05 tsx motor. Same pistons Same cams and same RBB cylinder head. I have both engines and have completely taken apart both. Let’s keep the information on track out here.

      k24a comes in many different cars in asia, Honda Odyssey Absolute being one of them. Which does have an rbb-3 casting k24a and is the closest engine to that of the 07-08 TSX, only difference is it doesn't have the same water pump housing and the intake cam is not the same as the 07-08 TSX. Only the 07-08 TSX has that intake cam which is the most aggressive factory K series intake cam.
