  • Going through my new Fjällräven Singi Stubben, a backpack with a seat to rest as the name Stubbe which means tree stump. Just take it off and sit on it. This is a really nice pack and as always good quality from Fjällräven.

    If you remove the frame, and the wood seat section, you can lose 2lb/1kg of weight...and the bag still sits upright, which I love. It becomes a lightweight pack, since fjallraven went carefully on weight when they designed it.

    This is a very cool backpack, I like how the inside is like a bucket, with the pockets on the outside. Feels like you can put a lot more on the inside.

      Yes it's really nice. The only thing is that the metal frame is in the way if you like tu stuff your pack to expand and over fill it 😉

    1 thing this guy didnt mention is that the front strap that hold the lid can fit a rolled up sleeping pad if you adjust it to max lenght. To gold the pad vertical. Nice if you are the one carrying for the family.

    Om du knyter ett löst snöre mellan fästpunkterna på ena sidan blir det som ett handtag som du sedan kan fästa yxan med. Funkar bra för min outdooryxa från GB.

    Good review, shame i was looking into getting this pack but much prefer the original with the side straps & orange inner. It looks like they have taken the orange liner and placed it on the seat which i don’t like, and taken the colour of the original seat and placed that inside as the liner. The only improvement on this newer design from what i can see is the daisy chains on side pockets. So now i just need to find someone selling the original on so that they can purchase the new one 🤣🤣

    Hi, great vid! Quick question though: how is the backpack performing in hot weather (or high intensity hike), in regards to its lack of mesh back? Thanks. Kind regards.

    Good review, most videos are of the original version.
    I have just purchased one of these and like it very much but the original seemed better apart from access to the main compartment which was slightly restricted. Seems they had to cut costs to keep the bag at a certain price point.
    The side handles that people used to hang their axe from is a big omission.
    Considering Stubben means stump it seems odd they changed the seat cover to an orange foliage pattern and got rid of the growth ring pattern of the original which looked like a stump.
    Just discovered that In the small (what I call bottle pocket )there is a compression strap that comes with it that can be used as a handle and would hold an axe.

    Very good and thorough review 👍
    I've got the old version.... I like the 2 front zippers...and the loops that the side pockets attach to, are improved and stronger. But... I prefer the orange inside on the old one, and I agree with you about the side handles...they're great for an axe/hatchet. I'm not sure about the leather straps...on the one hand they look nicer, but on the other, the new straps will absorb less water...maybe more practical.
    Anyway...subscribed....great review...I wish all reviews were that thorough !
    All the best.....

    I’m looking at buying this bag for plein air hikes and outings. Do you think I would be able to fit a 10x12x6 inch box inside this bag? I’m thinking it would work if I packed it through the zippers in the front? TIA

    • @LazyBones-0_0
      @LazyBones-0_0 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes, should fit good.. I put my tackle box in it 18 x 8.5 x 4 - I pushed the box to the side and measured the left over room, there was about 2 more inches without stretching the fabric any... It’s a nice versatile day adventure bag. Take a thermorest sit pad with you for all day comfort.

      Typically in the US there are coverage % requirements depending on the season and the area. One blaze of orange is not good enough often you need more coverage.

    • @zpokie123
      @zpokie123 5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I think its very comftable just because of the frame. It transfer the weight evenly on you back. Usually if you back heavier stuff low down on a backpacka it can kinda bounce on your lower back but this feels very good. Maby you can start to feel it after a few days. Ive only used mine for day trips with my son.
