    When that girl Ymir died, she created another realm (the paths) just to serve the original king Fritz wish of titan domination bro. Ymir’s been sending Eren visions from episode one, a cry for help. The attack titan was formed out of her lack of an ability to disobey the Fritz family. All these years Ymir hasn’t really been a slave, she believed she was but had all that power and since Eren was a child, he’s been a slave to the attack titan that been imposed on him but believed that’ll he has the power to be free. When they’re standing together, he tells her she’s free which makes her feel human again hence the expression on her face now the whole world is gonna get it lmao

      The ATtack Titan is Eren himself is a paradox temporel Eren is the will of Ymir to be free so her creation for freeing her that’s make Eren a slave to his destiny because he is a slave to FREEDOM he wants to prove that’s he has freewill but the story it’s already decided is lost in the temporality past present futur but he keep moving forward to prove he has FREEDOM Ymir and Eren with the Same faces= where Eren frees her
      When Eren realized he was a slave of HIS destiny (Historia Hand)
      Because there are the Same 2000 years of existence to being slaves so they are in revenge mode against the world and the cycle of hatred who bring all of that so Eren since the beggining he is desir of freedom is manifesting by the fact to exterminate all the things who could stop him to have it because in his mindset like he said in the previous seasons and EVEN in the s4 part 2 ep 19 : The fact THAT people are born into this world made them have the rigth to FREEDOM (like with the sea who was symbolizing that and now it’s about his freewill)but in the process of trying that he just accomplishes what was already wrote that’s the tragedy of Eren JAEGER 💔

    What I understood from Eren's plan:
    - Since the Marleians want to enslave the smart Titans and kill every single Eldian(which by this point in time, all Eldians are Subjects of Ymir)
    - Eren wants to eliminate all of this threat by killing all the other people in the world, in order to be free from the Humans

      @caminski4177 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      yes that’s true but I just meant that their current plan was to kill everyone on paradis island in this moment. Titans are still incredibly useful in war and technology passing them is a fairly new concept so Eldians likely still had a few decades of being deemed “useful” to Marley.
      Also McGath will likely do whatever he can to keep the Eldians outside of the island alive because of his connection to the warrior candidates so it depends on who else Is on the council after erin killed the hire ups.

      @Tarik Rashada that might’ve been his intention but there’s no guaranteeing the world would accept them anyway considering Marley was still using them as weapons. And I doubt that would happen considering the Eldians are actually treated worse outside of Marley. Marley is tame in comparison

    Some neat trivia about this episode. The creature that attached itself to Ymir’s spine resembles/is designed after an ancient organism called Hallucigenia, which lived around 500 million years ago, during the Cambrian period (and discovered in the Burgess Shale, Canada). The location itself is kinda symbolic because the Burgess Shale is sorta considered an "Origin of Life" in terms of its archaeological significance, thanks to the vast records of biodiversity preserved in it, which lead to the majority of life forms that exist today on the planet. So one can say Ymir "made contact" with the "Source of Life” in a symbolic sense, like Eren Krueger hypothesized back in Season 3 of the anime.
    This episode also had a lot of Norse mythology imagery and inspiration. In addition to the mythological Ymir being the first Jötunn and ancestor of all Jötnar (i.e. giants/titans), the Hallucigenia-like creature likely also symbolizes Níðhöggr, the dragon/serpent/wyrm who knaws at the roots of the world tree Yggdrasil (which is represented by the giant tree Ymir falls into and later on “The Paths” that connect all Eldians). Also Ymir’s Titan powers later splitting into the 9 Titan shifter powers is also a likely reference to the 9 Realms in Norse mythology that the world tree Yggdrasil maintains. Also the ancient Eldians seem to resemble Norse/Vikings in terms of their design (with the ancient Marleyans resembling Romans).
    Also the Wall Titans won’t just be killing all humans outside of the island of Paradis, they will also end up destroying the majority of all other life (flora and fuana larger than microorganisms) as well, which is a huge ecological/environmental disaster to the Biosphere in general (which admittedly is partially something that Isayama himself likely didn’t fully appreciate/consider when writing the story as well).

    • @TheoVorster
      @TheoVorster 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@jvdpc7 some flora might benefit/survive the burning and stomping, but plenty of species of plants wouldn’t. Not all trees and forests benefit/recover from forest fires. And even ones that do, aren’t adapted to have nearly everything burned/destroyed everywhere and all at once.

    • @TheoVorster
      @TheoVorster 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@Zombi4SaRap Oh I am sure that’s a perfectly viable Watsonian explanation. But having read the manga, I can also tell that Doylistically, the ecological implications wasn’t something that Isayama fully considered either when writing the story, which is relatively understandable as it’s not the focus of the story’s themes.

    For insight on Ymir's slave mentality, Morgiana from Magi is a great look at development of someone who was enslaved. Even when her slaveowner died in a dungeon she was still enslaved mentally, she let herself be captured again despite being strong enough to escape at any time. The mental scars inflicted by such experiences as a child goes way deeper than surface level thoughts like, “I’m strong now I don’t need to be a slave to anyone.” For Ymirs case I believe she fooled herself into thinking he was family and a loved one, so when he reacted the way he did, she lost her desire to live and didn’t regenerate. Titans only regen if they have the will to live.

Marley was attacked by Eldia, and Eldians took over the world an fucked shit up and run the place for 2000 years. That's why the world hates Eldians they were committing Genocide on other tribes and people, and controlling the world for 2000 years until the Titan War 100 years ago when King Fritz left the mainland to go to the Island and built the walls. The reason the King thinks they deserve to die was because of what the Eldian Empire led by the Royal family did to the world.

    It's the Eldians that enslaved Ymir's people. Ymir's people were just some random village that got fucked up by Eldia.
    She became a Titan and THEN became part of Eldia.

      Ymir was part of the Eldian tribe tho. She was a regular someone in within the tribe of Eldia. Also im pretty sure in the Manga its very clear that its actually not clear who really started this all, because im pretty damn sure that Eldians had War with Marleyans, who at that time were the ones suppresing the Eldian tribe, because of their MIlitary being Superior.

      @@jeremylafreniere1353 You argue with the assumption that slavery always hits "the others", while people enslaved their own kind too. Vikings took other Vikings as Slaves aswell and so did Romans. Im pretty damn sure in the manga its more of a "marley was an oppresing and superior military force and when eldia had the chance to crush them, they took it". If Eldia was the Superior Military force and Marley got their hands on the titans it would have been the same. It does not matter who was first and im fucking triggered over people being so desperate to take the smallest thing to STILL be on the "AH, SO THEY ACTUALLY ARE THE TRUE BAD GUYS!!!" train. Fucking painfull. No matter how hard attack on titan tries, people are still desperate to find the "root of all bad shit". While, again, Attack on Titan tries really hard that its not because of that guy, or that nation, or that whatever - but a cycle where its all about perspective. The Devil to one, can be the Angel to another. Now people are using the latest episode to "finally proclaim" it was indeed Eldia who is at fault. At this point its just fucking depressing to me.
      Im looking at Ymir and she has the same clothes as the Eldians had, the place she lived looked similar to other places where Eldians lived. So just by what she wears and where she lived you can make a very strong point that she was an Eldian. Maybe not of the original tribe, but as i said :
      Its a Germanic Tribe / Roman Empire analogy.
      Not all Germanic Tribes called themselfs "germanic tribe". You had the Alemanen, the Langobarden, the Cheruski and many more. They were all different, yet all part of what was called "the Germanic Tribes".
      Man, dont be so limited and start thinking A LITTLE broader at least ?

      @@TheBlackfall234 You're making a lot of assumptions about what I'm thinking, and what a lot of other people are thinking with not much proof to back those assumptions. I'm going to have to "assume" that you're going on an unhinged rant because you're seeing meaning in what I wrote that simply isn't there.
      I'm not saying that Eldians are the root of all evil. What they did to Ymir's people was relatively normal for BC Germanics back in the day, though very cruel by our standards. Ancient people enslaved each other all the time. The reason why I think Ymir is not part of Eldia is because the Eldians came in from outside the village and burned it to the ground. You don't do that to your own tribe. It doesn't make sense to destroy your own source of food and money for the kicks, and Fritz seemed like a smart, but insanely cruel warlord that took care of his own people. It makes far more sense that Ymir's people were a neighboring tribe. Therefore Fritz came in to cripple that tribe's power by razing one of their villages. Keep in mind, Germanic tribes back in the day could be made up of only 5-10 villages.
      Another, smaller reason why I think Ymir isn't an Eldian is because the king praises her by saying "my" tribe of Eldia has grown. He's not including her.

    • @TheBlackfall234
      @TheBlackfall234 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@jeremylafreniere1353 How is saying "my tribe" excluding her ? He says that because he is the King of that tribe and yes im assuming myself, wich is very reasonable tho because most people simply jump to exactly that conclusion. If anything, pointing out she wasnt an Eldian has what purpose ? Ultimately if shes Eldian or not is meaningless for the morals of the Story so i dont even understand why people make such a big thing out of it. Could it be, because they are searching for someone to blame ? You only make those kind of differences if youre about to try to put the blame to someone, or something specific. Excluding Ymir from the Eldian tribe certainly opens up the possibility of pretending that it wasnt the "subjects of ymir" at fault, but "the eldians". All Subjects of Ymir are also Eldians tho. Otherwise we can just agree that all of them are Humans, so why not just go by that ? Because that doesnt allow for a good blame and would force you to acceppt that it doesnt matter wether or not Ymir was Eldian or not. Somehow people still feel the need to claim that Ymir wasnt part of the Eldian tribe.
      Why is that ? I belief that i know the answer to that, but if you disagree with that and think im just full of myself im alright with that.

    Just see it like this, Ymir endured all that messed up stuff and pain both physcially and mentally as a child and when she did gain the power of the founding titan, she never got freed from being a slave. In fact after her death, she continued being a slave for 2000 years waiting for someone to free her. That someone would be the successor of the Attack Titan because the AT was the little free will she had left. She could've used it to rebel against King Fritz but couldn't make herself to do it due to Stockholm Syndrome (she was attracted to him despite of the sick things he did to her). This is why you can see why the AT's goal is to always seek freedom and never obey the ideology of the self-righteous king (King Fritz) because Ymir gave the AT that free will to gain freedom (for her). She waited 2000 years for that someone to finally free her from being a slave to the first king and that someone was Eren Yeager.
    Also a fun fact here, that centipede looking creature which gave Ymir the power of the Titans DID in fact exised in real life million of years ago. Its called a "Hallucigenia" or also known as "Spine Worm". Fascinating creature to learn about.

      @@vinniefabian6816 I saw someone do the math in a different vids comment, based on the assumption that like every second in the real world was a year in the paths. And that comes out to 63,113,852,000. Let's say we go off real-world logic, a brain can like survive like 10 minutes without oxygen before it ceases to produce signals. That's 600 seconds or 600 years, id say the time it took for Eren's head being decapitated by Gabi's bullet to fly to Zeke's hand was somewhere from 10-20 seconds so that's how long Zeke and Eren were in the paths together for. Time in this situation has really stretched the fuck out.

    Ymir wasn't an eldian. Remember how they animated the story, she was in her own village which was then raided by an army and then she became a slave of the nation that raided her. That nation that raided her was the nation of eldia. Technically all the offspring from her are eldians because she had kids with the king of eldia. However the only thing eldian about her is that she was a slave owned by the eldian empire. If you steal someone from Africa and make em a slave in Germany, they're not german. But if that slave has kids with a german person then yea all the offspring has that blood.

    Guys... This episode & especially previous ep. I see some are saying eren is the bad guy or it's eren's fault or blame him for reiss family's murder as if it wasn't necessary, like... you guys.. come on, eren "kruger" told grisha your mission is to take the founding, & then grisha comes there the day the wall breaks & the 1st stupid king refuses to protect the island & controls poor freida & says we must just perish, what else is there to do? Like if he only kills freida only then other royal blooded people will remain & probability of falling the founding into royal blood increases & then unfortunately reiss family had to go & there's nothing wrong with what eren told grisha to persuade him that's true what he said.. After all grisha went through & fought if he stopped there it would all be for nothing... His mission was to take the founding & continue even in death even after death just as kruger told him like.. This story has actually shown not only with eren only but with erwin as well that these terrible choices they have to make is their best option..like.. Remember erwin's plans really depended on gambling and loss of soldiers people there were lot's of casualties mostly... And actually no one else had any other plans for those situations... Now same goes with eren, like this story has showed literally this is his best option, it's not like I support this but I can't blame him, can we? Though he technically does it, eren is not the only one guilty lots of people are guilty as much as eren is, he waited & waited there were no hope & remember he has limited time, he has learned, remember levi has told him' you have to make a choice 'armin has told him' if you are to surpass monsters you have to be a greater one, main aspect of eren's character is will & determination, ofc he doesn't want it to do it but.. When he restricted from every aspect abt hope for peace & other nonviolent choices & he has one choice to forever eliminate the threat from the island in front of him & he has limited time, if he doesn't, then everything him, his father, other soldier have done all this time would be absolutely for nothing, & still some of you guys blaming him & judge him by morality. Ok what if the population outside was less than inside, would you guys still judge him the same? Like I mean you shouldn't look at it by number, look at it by reasons..

    Eren is unquestionably the villain of Attack On Titan. Being the protagonist and villain of a story are not mutually exclusive and Death Note is a great example of this.

    Eren decided that it in order to create peace, he would kill everyone who wasn't on his island and attain his own idea of freedom. I've heard people defend Eren and say, "Well they attacked them first so he's justified! Eye for an eye!".
    Well, if that's your logic than would it be okay for the Jewish people wipe out all of Germany because of the Holocaust? Here is my problem with trying to morally argue in favor of Eren's carnage. Eren doesn't just kill a hundred or so people, he kills millions. Not only that he also kills millions of people from nations that had nothing to do with the mistreatment of his people. Women, children, babies etc. Eren's whole plan is literally the Nazi's Final Solution.
    "Can't be no race war if there is only one race! Rumbling time baby!".
    -Eren Probably
    Armin's plan of a partial Rumbling and than buying time to catch up technologically is the safest and least dangerous option. It makes sense. Excusing future sight powers, basically playing the nuke card and getting everyone to back off so you can get time to figure out a better long term solution is the best course of action.
    Eren might have his reasons and he is indeed a conflicted character, but he is a monster of unimaginable measure and has committed an act of genocide on an unseen scale even in our world. There is no way to argue that Eren is a hero or morally gray. He is a villain. Pure and simple. Does that mean I hate his character? Hell no, he's one of the greatest villains in any show I've ever seen.
    He's a fantastic example of the phrase, ''You either die a hero or live long enough to see yourself become the villain.'
    I think yes much of the point of Attack On Titan is the moral ambiguity of the story and characters. In many ways Reiner is a perfect example of this as he is a hero and a villain to different sides and that's what makes him such a compelling character. However there is an innate morality we as humans can all agree on. Mass Murder is bad. Period. End of story. Never can it be justified. There have been countless atrocities throughout history in the name of some greater goal, but killing hundreds of thousands, millions of people, is never the act of a hero.
    Eren is easily the final antagonist of Attack On Titan. I love him as he is one of the most interesting and sympathetic villains in any story I've read or watched.
    Here is the issue for me if you try and argue Eren is in the right though, mass murder is an evil act and no amount of arguments can justify that fact. Revenge is not justice. I stand firmly in my belief that murder is an amoral thing and that anyone who does commit murder is not a good person. It doesn't matter what your justification is, murder is murder. Murdering one person, murdering hundreds, thousands, millions. In the end it doesn't matter how many you kill and why.
    Eldia was horrible to the world for centuries until they lost their power and were driven into the walls. They ruled with an iron fist and killed countless people which is why the world turned on them. I am not saying there is an easy answer to these quandaries. It's a complicated issue.
    Eren is a villain however. No sane or rational person decides committing mass genocide that wipes out 80+% of the world's population is a reasonable idea. Were the babies and children Eren's Rumbling stomped to death guilty of mistreating his people? Did they deserve to be crushed underfoot? The innocents who didn't ask to be born into their situations?
    Eren's solution is what the Nazi's believed was the right decision in their time. The Nazi's delusional belief was that the Jewish people were oppressing them and that they needed to fight back to reclaim their rights and economy. They viewed them as evil and their side as the heroes. Does that make the Holocaust okay? Because Eren's people were at war with these people and suffered greatly at their hands mean that everyone other than those are Paradise deserve to die?

    There are also countless Eldians outside the walls Eren kills too. His own people. His idea of freedom is selfish and extreme. He is a great character but he is undeniably the villain. No morally good person stomps innocent babies and children to death. That is the act of a villain.

      Your argument is flawed not Jews shouldn’t have the right to kill Germans mainly because Germans are no longer trying to concentrate Jews but if they were then yes Jews would be justified in attacking Germany you have to remember the eldians are hated for things they did 2,000 years ago not like yesterday so yeah it’s a lot different

    Let's look at our dream our dreams have some similar points one of them is wanting everything (entirety) and wanting them the best way they can be (quality) and also wanting it forever (eternity) and also deep down we want others to have these points like watching these reactions (public) and for reaching our dreams we have to have a goal if we put ourselves as a goal we see it wouldn't make sense because a goal have to be able to give us what we need and how can we give ourselves something we don't have so you can't be your goal and if we put money as our goal it can give us entirety and quality to some extend but it can't give us eternity so we have to put something as a goal that has all points and is independent of the cause
    If we think a little bit we see at some point in time we didn't exist in this world
    So we see harmony in this world
    The same way a laptop is not created on it's own this world has be created by the God for a reason
    And he has to be the one that tell us what we need to do for him to give us our dreams
    That's what's called a religion
    But wait a moment
    There is only one God then why is there so many religions out there
    But if we research a bit we'll see that there are three religions that believe in one god
    Judaism
    Christianity
    Islam
    And if we take holy books of these three religions and read them we see that only Islam has a book that has scientific facts that are proven today around 80 percent of scientific facts in the Quran is correct and 20 percent hasn't discovered yet and also Quran asked if you say this book is made up then bring something like it if you can but for 1400 year no one was able to bring something like it nor close to it
    And also the fact that name of the prophet of Islam and 12 imams are mentioned in Hebrew bible that is yet another proof that Islam is the only true religion

    Because he wants all the smoke he ain’t making peace with nobody.
    Malcom x said black Americans were entitled to secure their rights “by any means necessary.”

    Its simple as this, the whole world wants paradis to be the enemy so they can have peace. And they wont stop treating eldians like monsters from erens point of view its the only wat to be free like he said on the end of season 3 when he asked that if the kill everyone across the sea will they finally be free?? And the answer is most likley

    It's not condition for the protagonist to be a good guy, well, the thing is that yes eren is not a good guy but he is not a bad guy either like... It's complicated I think it's not wise to call him antagonist, he is a nonhero protagonist...

    The world declared themselves opps to Paradis. They started the war on Paradis. To Eren it’s up from there. Us vs Them. Don’t blame Eren, the world knew what Paradis was capable of. Still they wanted smoke. They got it. It’s really that simple. Eren didn’t start it but he finished it.

    this is the thing, eldians in the past did terrible things, but the eldians now have no idea what they did cause of the memory wiping, but the others nations dont know about it. They think they commited genocide then went to the island to live peacefully. After years of torturing them sending titans and making them slaves, to people that have nothing to do about it. You think "eren" would allow them to just enslave them. I dont support genocide on his part, but you dont give him too many options.

    Subjects of Ymir are Eldians, but not all Eldians are Subjects of Ymir. Eldians came first, and Subject of Ymir basically became a virus within the group. As Eldians expanded, so did the Subjects of Ymir. Ymir herself might've not even been an Eldian or a Marleyan, but her descendants, Subjects of Ymir, are mostly Eldians. I say mostly because there doesn't seem to exist a requirement for Subjects of Ymir to be Eldians, so people from Marley and other ethnic group/countries could probably become Subjects of Ymir too.
    Also, she was enslaved by King Fritz, the first Eldians king. Then they let her go, and brought her back to the tribe because of her power. Since she was a kid, she probably didn't know better, and went back to them.
