The first episode of AOT is titled "to you, 2000 years from now" and now we get "from you, 2000 years ago". They built this up from the very beginning. Insane.

The words "to you 2000 years from now" are from Yumir to Eren or mikasa, and "from you 2000 years ago" are from Eren to Yumir
Yumir has been alone at the coordinates for 2,000 years since her death, creating Titans like a slave, and has been waiting for someone to free him from the coordinates
So I think the two titles were given in the sense that the two sent a message over 2000 years through the coordinates

The craziest part to keep in mind is when eren touched historias hand and saw all of grishas memories, he saw his OWN future memories through grishas memories.

As a history major and lover of Roman history. The Marlians and Eldians are replicas of the Romans and the Gauls (the Germanic tribes that we’re constantly at war with Rome until it’s fall). I think it’s cool how they created this alternate history where the Gauls are the powerful ones bc of their weaponry (the Titans) when in reality the Romans were able to hold control of Europe for so long bc of their war tactics and the society they were able to develop bc of their success in war.
Gauls and Germanics aren’t the same. The Gauls were a celtic group and were conquered by the Romans along with the other celts. Germanics were their own group

lol at the slow realization that Eren having this power is not only probably not a good thing, but definitely not a good thing. You can practically see the winds of doubt strike you when Zeke asks Eren about what he would do with the Founding's power and he enters into his freedom monologue.
Probably not a good idea to give world ending powers to a broken man with an iron will who has in the past screamed about destroying the world and/or killing/devouring/stomping out his enemies. A man that Levi straight up called a monster.

Just for reference, the first episode is called: To you, 2.000 in the future. The last one you saw is called: FROM you, 2000 years ago.
So when we first saw the name of the episode we knew something BIG was going to happen.
That's not the same tree as the one in the Ilse's Notebook OVA. That titan was saying "Ymir" and worshipping Ilse because she looked like Ymir (Historia's Ymir) because it was one of the cultists that was worshipping Ymir when they got raided. It's fair to say that Ymir (Historia's) was given that name as an orphan when she was adopted by the cult because the cult leaders wanted it to seem like she had more of a connection to the Founder Ymir, along with lying that she had royal blood.
Edit: Wish we would've eventually found out (Historia's) Ymir's real name. Not like it would change or explain anything but it would've been nice. It could've parallelled Historia's name change with them taking back their identities together. Would've been cute af.
If she was an orphan living on the streets when she was taken in she might not even had a name she could remember, being as young as she was.

Here's something that wasn't explained fully. Whenever Grisha sees Zeke, Eren is right behind Grisha. Grisha is seeing exactly what Eren sees. Because they're connected by memories through the attack titan. This also means that when Grisha is talking to Eren about the key and the basement and he's staring at adult Eren, Grisha is looking at himself. It's like he's looking at a mirror.

Goosebumps every time when I see the scenes where zeke sees that erens life was basically a normal upbringing and not trained to be this restorationist and then the shot going to eren to show that he was always seeking freedom no matter what, a good reference would be when they show and tell us what eren was thinking right before the attack on shinganshina began.. eren told to himself "I wish something would happen" it was as if he wanted something bad to happen.
At 1:00:38 the subtitles are wrong. It says "You've waited for two thousand years for someone to come here for you". What Eren actually said is "You've waited two thousand years, for someone...". It might not seem like it now but it is an important difference.

EldianS were the ones who enslaved Ymir [she wasn't eldian by the way] they then used her Titan powers to enslaved the rest of the world [Marley included] for over 1000 years. The Eldian tribe used her powers to conquer and colonise other nations. That's how the built their empire. Ymir didn't make a deal with the Fritz. Slavery isn't making a deal. You guys are aware that this show's story wasn't created by the anime studio making it right? The whole story was written and created by one man named Hajime Isayama who is the author of the manga the anime is based off. They way you make it seem like as if the anime studio is the one creating the story and making it up as they go but they really don't, they just follow step by step what Isayama already created.
Isayama is also heavily involved in the making of each episode. He's admitted that he's using the Anime to change or fix things he was unhappy with in the manga. So I'm interested to see what happens. Everyone has to stay on their toes with this man

Basically every attack titan has seen glimpses of the future hence they kept pushing forward.
Greisha saw memories from eren and hence could interact in real time while they were in those memories.
Like when you're acting a movie and you can change the script while acting out the scenes.
Griesha saying you have to stope eren doesn't necessarily mean anything. Cos griesha has seen and eren too that eren will get what he wants.
And yeah it makes sense why eren was acting so confident he was basically sure he would win.
And yeah eren is basically God ...with almost omniscience and clear omnipotence.
Pity he has to kill everyone outside though. Cos like he said the world won't rest until the subjects of ymir are dead the only way to change that is let there be no world outside the subjects of ymir.

I've heard that first point a lot but don't agree with it. It seems like they were able to have actual physical interraction with each other. Whenever Eren, Zeke, or Grisha touched each other, even their clothing and physical positions changed as if one was being physically moved by the other. That wouldn't have happened if they were just hugging air.

After watching multiple times, my theory is Ymir could have survived the spear, but she lost the will to live. Despite everything she did for the king, he still called her “my slave.” She then closed her eyes accepting death. Because reiner almost accepted death when he saved falco in Marley after eren transformation. Falco clearly states that reiner can heal as long as he has a strong desire to live. Then falco remembers reiner asking eren to kill him. So I see Ymir wanted to die.

Eren’s goal isn’t to just kill everyone but the Eldians. He wants to destroy all traces of life and civilization outside of Paradis Island. That means the Eldians in all of those Marley camps will die too.
Eren's goal is exactly the same as 1st King Fritz. The reason why Ymir was trapped in the paths, eaten by her kids and why for generations Titian shifters have been cannibalising each other was so Fritz could ensure that his people the Eldian and the Titans would dominate the world until the end of time. Eren came into the paths woke Ymir up and said lets go make the dream of the man who enslaved you, cut off your tongue, used you as a weapon of mass destruction and trapped you in this limbo for 2000 years come true!

Alright, so you guys have massively misinterpreted the history you were given. The Eldians weren't "people enslaved by The Fritzs." Ymir isn't even an Eldian herself. Fritz and his tribe _are_ the Eldians. They were the ones _doing_ the enslaving. Ymir herself may have been a slave, but the titans of the following generations were not. They were Eldians with titan powers conquering and oppressing other nations entirely of their own volition. They weren't being used by some other race and they were very much in charge. It was called The _Eldian_ Empire after all. Why the hell would it have been called that if they were slaves? So, your weird interpretation of all Eldians being oppressed victims for 2000 years is completely false. They were not oppressed, they were the oppressors. I know this is pointless because you've already seen the whole damn series by now, but whatever.
The eldians were not the slaves, the Eldians were the invaders that enslaved Ymir and her people

The beautiful analogy is the fact that most holders of titan titles possess their own titans. While the Attack Titan is/was always possessed by Eren. It is why the Attack Titan never bow to any authority (aka will of the first King, Fritz) and always fight for freedom. Because ultimately, Eren always wanted to be free.
