Due to broken plastic piece in channel I recently had my door apart several times. Then I couldn’t open it from the inside. Eventually found the problem. One of the times I rerouted the harness wires. Thought it would lay better. It didn’t. It pushed the cable out of wack causing a bend. Once again, thanks for the vid. After I make my part for the window channel, I’ll re-inspect the cable for kinks.
Over many years of owning a T1N sprinter (21 years) I have always used some silicone oil spray in the door lock and handle etc, never had a problem. Not sure if it has made the difference?
To everyone, I have a 2006 T1N 140 WB, and of course dash is is old, any ideas on how I could improve it a little? Like certain dash parts, etc? Thanks
I'll be playing with dash parts from donor vans soon. Ideas I will try include torch heating like our bumper video and Meguiar's All Surface Interior Cleaner. Probably will include ArmorAll and show side-by-side comparison.
Any idea/solutions for why front door handle won’t lock if the door is open? Locks fine when door is closed but unable to push in to lock if the door is open. See you in 2 weeks!
That is a design feature intended to help up NOT lock keys in the van. The sliding door might lock then close but all others should not lock unless already closed. Looking forward to Philly!!!
Thanks man, I am watching your videos to fix so many of my 2005 Dodge sprinter 2500 problems. You are an awesome mechanic if you call yourself a mechanic. If you call yourself a technician you are awesome technician. If you call yourself a Florida van man than you are awesomest Florida van man. I had so many problems in my van electrical, WiF, check engine light, traction, abs everything was on man. I have been trying to fix the problems this way and that way nothing worked. Turned out that my fuse box was loose. \(◎o◎)/
Thank you for everything that you do for the T1N community
Thanks!
Aprendendo um pouco mais, a cada vídeo de vcs que eu assisto! 👏👏👏

Another useful video. Thanks.

Keeping it slippery definitely helps the parts age and wear slower.
Nice work
Door lock maintenance. It’s on the list….
Silicone the cable when exposed?
Very interesting video again, but also a question, the extra door lock?
I asked about that too, anticipating this question, and I made a note so I could answer. Then I lost the note. :(
@@FloridaVanMan Okay it's built in very well ❤️🩹
What is that secondary lock in the driver's door?
He said a name brand but I couldn't;t find anything on them.
